Store is decent with products but the mice are all over the place. Cashier was talking loud holding cell phone with one hand on speaker, complaining about calling HR due to her missed hrs while ringing up items with the other hand. I only recommend going there for non food items if it was an emergency.

I was insulted by the security guard and the cashier in charge. Very rude very unprofessional. They don't to work and they treat everyone to be a their until proven otherwise. All my guilt is trying to return a defected item and had the receipt (literally 3 days ago) and they refused even to discuss it cause I did not have the package on me! At the point I said I think I have the package the guy threw the item on the stand then she snatched it, I tried to get it back she lies saying I snatched and I have to leave "her domain". Unbelievable set of redness and vulgar-ness.

Looking for tabletop decor. They had some nice one that I purchased for my livingroom. Fall decor is out now!

Kids running around in the store stealing opening up contents without paying for them and the parent just let there kids do what ever they want poor parenting will have these kids in the system and it makes businesses look bad and sky rocketing prices on the rise

I'm 9 months pregnant and had a few heavy items and asked the female cashier if I can please just use the cart to take items to my car but the man who worked there grabbed my cart and said no you can't take it so instead of helping me take the items to my car the female cashier helped me he must be new because I have never seen him before but one of the worst experience at the store please hire real Men not ignorant ones

Depending on the time of day you go in there, it's pack but over all you will find what you looking for, just don't be looking for no medicine. Security guard is very cool

This is one of the better family dollar stores. One time the cashier forgot to put one of the items I paid for in my bag. When I went back the next day with the receipt and the manager gave me the item after she confirmed it on video. Which was fine.

One of the managers is a creep! Every female that walked in he stared at! Not just a quick help but a stare. My niece felt terrible. Plus, there's an Hispanic girl working that talks to people any way she wants, a big no no.

This store has a great variety of items though they do not sell bags they expect you to bring your own bags N.J. stop giving plastic bags away though mostly all stores now have cloth bags that can be purchased these people are inconsiderate that work there and not very helpful Pupurchases

Decent prices and have most items in stock. And also, nobody stalks you around the store making you feel like a low-life criminal as in some other similar places, that will remain nameless. 😂

Family Dollar is expensive. They hardly ever have merchandise on the shelves. They falling off.

I really don't even know why this Family Dollar is still open it shows are always empty and there's never any help on the floor

I have to drop this store rating down. We the people deserve to be treated better. Just because they changed all the staff and the new manager doesn't seem like he wants to be there. It's not like how it used to be when you would be greeted when you walk in the door. I have always gone to this store and now I don't want to go there at all. I rather go elsewhere. It was a quick stop. The store is organized and clean. The staff was nice and friendly.

Staff aren't the nicest, other than that it is a pretty compact store with clothes, appliances, and foods.

This store is conveniently located in a strip of other stores I frequent at so I shop here because of that and also they are usually always stocked with what I am looking for but just a warning if your pocketbook is large or if you use a bookbag or messenger bag be prepared for the guy at the door to make you check it while you shop. YES I said he "makes" you leave your bag I was turned off completely I mean I could understand if I was a shop lifter or if I had an incident there but I pay for my merchandise at the register like most so to be treated that way was insulting and he got loud about it.. my last trip I literally walked in, he yelled at me to leave my bag which was my purse and a bunch of empty bags that we are now required to have, I gave my bag of empty bags but refused to leave my purse w all my belongings and my wallet and phone etc. So he yelled louder and blocked me from going completely in, I took my bag of empty bags and left.. I mean who is he to demand that and why should I trust my personal belongings w some strange man for no reason.. If you can deal w that the actual store is ok, me personally, I took it personal and won't be going back there ever again

Well I had my share at that store as a shopper it varies in Newark one time a fight broke out between two people pepper spray was use by other person security was not at all caring// another time I saw their on duty Security Guard stealing merchandise that should never happen never the less the prices are good.🤨
