Met up with a bunch of old friends from New York. It was a very relaxing day. Leslie, our server, was very attentive. It's probably some of the best service I've had at a restaurant in years . My friends and I have all been in the restaurant business for over 40 years . So the good service was greatly appreciated. They also have happy hour🍤🍺🍸 You don't see that anymore.. They also have live music every night of the week. After being there for 40 years, they have quite a regular clientele. This is one of the first restaurants that I experienced when I moved to Florida 37 years ago. We sit out on the patio, and I love all color combinations of the tables and chairs. A little taste of Florida charm. Great place to meet up with friends and family. And a really great happy hour

There were 3 of us for dinner, we started with drinks and the bartender did great. My wife had lobster claws and she said it was really good. I ordered the Killer Shrimp that was peel and eat topped with a garlic sauce. It just didn't make any sense to serve it the way they did. Peeling the shrimp was so messy and no garlic sauce was actually ON the shrimp. Peel the shrimp and THEN put the sauce on. Our waitress did a great job.

I brought my parents and wife to this restaurant for lunch. However, it's worth noting that the establishment does not have air conditioning, resulting in a rather warm environment during our visit. Service: Despite being quite friendly, our waitress seemed overwhelmed, likely due to the limited staff available to accommodate the customers. Food: Given our party of four, we ordered a variety of dishes to satisfy everyone's tastes. Our selections included a dozen raw oysters, a dozen steamed oysters, a lobster roll, Key West style shrimp, a big crab duo, and Uncle Frank's sautéed mussels. While the food was enjoyable, it didn't meet our expectations in terms of freshness. The overall dining experience was further impacted by the uncomfortable heat, making it difficult to fully appreciate the meals. In my opinion, this restaurant may be better suited for local travelers during the winter months. I would not recommend visiting on a hot day. Among our orders, the fresh oysters stood out as my favorite dish. Taking everything into consideration, I would rate this restaurant 4 out of 5.

Great place! The dungeness crab was awesome, although quite messy and hard to eat, and the sides were good as well. There was live music the night we went but we couldn't find a table outside so we ate indoors. Popular place and has been for some decades. Worth a visit. Good energy at night.

Recommended by a colleague this place was amazing. The summer season was over so probably more locals which was great. A bustling crowd for a Monday night but we got seated right away. Our server Pierce was great and knowledgeable. There was live music on the patio. Parking might be an issue but we found a space. The vibe is great and the food delicious. I ordered the Tybee Seafood platter and I think the whole table could have eaten on that one platter alone.

We are from out of town and here on vacation. We tried multiple restaurants in the area and nothing compared to this place. The food was amazing and the service was top notch. We went back a second time before we left because it was so good. The calamari is amazing and the catfish, steak, crab cake, and grouper tacos were awesome. The cheesecake was ridiculous too. If you are in town you have to try crabby bills you won’t be disappointed.

After years of vacationing in the area, we finally visited Crabby Bill's for dinner last night. They were busy and the wait was long but that's to be expected during spring break. We were able to enjoy live music and cold drinks while we waited for our table. When we were sat, our server greeted us almost immediately. She was great the entire time. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were large. Our rum punch from the outside bar was a little stronger than the fishbowl we received in the loading dock, which tasted more like juice than a mixed drink. It was still good but for $20 we would've liked a little bit more alcohol. Our party of 6 ordered grouper tacos, sandwiches and a grouper dinner. All of us loved our food! I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars due to the lack of gluten free options and accommodations. The reason we've avoided this restaurant in the past is because we have a family member with celiac disease and it's not safe for her. We would love to see some 'kid friendly' gluten free options- a dedicated fryer for fries, gluten free buns, etc. Our adult party enjoyed ourselves but we wouldn't be able to come back with the full family unless there were more celiac safe gluten free options.

Beach goers and locals alike love this place because it is honestly one of the most welcoming seafood restaurants around. Close to the beach and with a diverse menu of common seafood favorites and good drinks to accompany them, this place is unpretentious so you can practically come as you are (maybe not in a bathing suit though). Like picnic tables, paper napkins, and food in baskets and pie tins unpretentious. They have gator tail bites, oysters, and seafood boils, and the price range is equally diverse. There is something for everyone. Just a note, this place is really popular so be prepared to possibly park off site and maybe have to pay, and if you go during popular times, you will have a wait especially for larger parties.

This place used to be the best. Generations of our family have been going there for years. Unfortunately lately the prices are high and the portions are small which is the polar opposite of what this company was founded on. The real kicker is what our to go items looked like. Beat up desserts and it looks like the staff had dinner on our gator bite and grouper nugget appetizers that were $15+ each. Take a look for your self. Very disappointed in what used to be a Florida staple.

Worst meal I've had on this trip. Do not eat here. Sides are horrible. Coleslaw I had to spit out, mac n cheese was nasty, muscles I had to spit out didn't eat, clam chowder was so salty, fried grouper dry and crust was too salty. Bloody Mary had no flavor tasted watered down. The ONLY good thing were the stone crab claws. Not worth the money. We had to go somewhere else after to actually eat.

Booked a table for us online which was super easy and convenient. Upon arriving was greeted promptly and saw delicious stone crab claws on ice. Started with the clam chowder, which was good, but not the best I've had and two others agreed. The fish and chips were talked about at dinner and after. Cold stone crab claws with mustard were a treat, so much I placed an order to go to enjoy later. Make sure to visit gift shop and visit their other establishments. You can even earn a "free" shirt.

Food is amazing quality, and fair prices. We had the tybee island seafood feast costing $58, and was more than enough for 2 people, could have fed 3 people. 46Oz Fishbowl rum cocktail was only $20, and you could still taste the alcohol, so good quality for the price. Service was OK, no problems or delays. Atmosphere is hard to rate, basically it's a restaurant with lots of hungry people, so nothing special, nothing bad.

We came with a party of 9, worried we wouldn’t get a table but the hostess Rose took the situation in her hands and made sure we got the perfect table outside in a timely manner so we could enjoy the band! She was such a fun and positive person, thank you Rose! The waitress did a great job making sure we had full drinks and food at all times. It’s truly a great atmosphere here!

If you are okay with a wait, know the food is worth a try! We arrived a little after 4pm and had a 40 minute wait. After getting our wait and getting seated the service was fast and friendly. For a shorter wait time there is normally space at the bar. I enjoyed the Crab Cake Sandwich (Grilled) it comes with a yummy sauce (on the side) and crispy soft fries or slaw! I went with the fries and don’t regret it!

Not from the area but attended a birthday party and arrived early so googled “seafood” places near by. Found this local gem! Wonderful atmosphere, kind and polite service, live music and delicious food. The onion rings were the best I’ve had in a long while (one of my favorite foods so I’ll m snobby on most onion rings) wish I had gotten an order to go. A bit pricey but we’ll worth it!! Will visit again when in the area

Our first time eating here and it won't be our last. As we walked in the door we were greeted right away and made to feel welcome, seated right away too. Can't say enough about our waitress, Yolanda, so nice, friendly and efficient. My wife had the seafood platter and I had the grouper sandwich, both were excellent. Love the atmosphere of this place and highly recommend it, especially if you are wanting a great fish meal.

A friend recommended this place and it didn’t disappoint. Sadly, it was raining but overall it was still an amazing experience. Our amazing host Rose, found us a table for 7 adults/7kids. The live band was amazing but they had to stop bc of the rain, I guess. It was happy hour & we got some margaritas (~$5). Delicious!!! Others in my group got the raspberry mojito (didn’t taste like it), Bloody Mary (good) and Bahama mama (good). Appetizers were fried calamari, gator tail (taste like chicken nuggets) and oysters (fresh)- perfecto!!! Our main meal consisted of duo seafood platter, lobster tail, steak, pasta, burger. Portion size was not disappointing and you can definitely take some leftovers. Sadly, I ate all of mine and now suffering, but that doesn’t mean we didn’t have space for dessert. We got the key lime pie and big a** chocolate cake. Amazing!!!! Our waitress Hannah was very attentive and friendly!

My family and I have been eating at The Original Crabby Bill's in IRB for almost 25 years and we enjoy it now just as much as we enjoyed it then. It is very hard to find good, fresh seafood but Crabby Bill's IRB never disappoints. Some of our favorites that we have enjoyed include: hard crabs, soft shell crabs (pictured), stone claws, u peel shrimp, clams, grouper, and calamari. I stopped by today (July 3) for a quick bite at lunchtime and was very pleased with the soft shell crab starter. The crab itself was great and the shoestring fries & sauce was also great. My server was Yolanda and she was fantastic. Very friendly and was on top of things. We will be back! 🦀

Not from the area, but I used to go here when I was younger with my parents on vacation, and my dad would rave about it. I went last week with my little family on a weeknight. The wait wasn't long, and the waitress was awesome! We started off with gator nuggets, and they were great! I ordered frog legs that were completely soggy on the bottoms. My husband ordered a full shell crab, and it was tiny. I felt it should have come with 2 crabs because he was still hungry. My son ordered the snow crab legs, and he was thoroughly satisfied. Neither mine nor my husband's food had any flavor, though. The coleslaw was great, though.
