Beautiful grounds. The main building was beautiful. Unfortunately we were in room1541 which is a separate cottage room. Although this is definitely a 5 star hotel, we were not in a 5 star room. The furnishings looked worn, the carpet was very dirty at the entrance to the room. We had to call 2x for someone to reset the heat that had stopped working on cold days. I must say that upon checkout they apologized for our inconvenience and comped our breakfast. Hopefully they will bring that room up to standards.

This easily could've been a 5 star review. The location is beautiful the food from the restaurants was exquisite. What was terrible was the treatment we received from the staff. Me and my family were walking around taking pictures of the beautiful lobby and hallways of the hotel and were rudely interrupted by the staff and were told that it is not allowed to use digital cameras here. Nowhere on their website does it say this. We were not being loud we weren't bothering anyone or in the way of anything. We weren't even using flash but still it was an issue. Then the rude staff member told us to use our phones and that the pictures would look just as good on that which is objectively untrue. I've been to hotels all over the world and have never had an issue with this. What is the point of a having a beautiful hotel if you don't want it to be photographed? I would avoid this place like the plague if you can.

Stylish and refined in its lusciouness… well kept, well manicured with charming gardens, excellent service and services. Spa was fab! And get this, the power went out in the area in the middle of my massage and they calmly and sweetly brought in candles to finish and comped me the massage. And had backup power so we still had basics. Very nice experience that could have been uncomfortable otherwise.

Almost everything was good quality. The bathroom was the main issue. Had to flush the toilet 2 or 3 times to get everything to go down. And then the sink would stop up. I brought this to the front desk attention 3 days in a row with 3 different people and it never got taken care of. I expect service like that from a motel...not an upscale hotel that I pay an arm and leg for. Also, I told the valet guys all 4 nights that I wanted them to charge my car. Didn't happen once. I would think I could get a charge at least once, but that never happened either. Last thing. 2 days and 1 day before checking out, I saw an unexpected charges on my credit card. One for $67 and the other for $23. The $450 hold had already been taken out at check in. I asked the front desk what those 2 charges were for. They said it was pending charges to make sure my card works and that they will go away. How insulting is that? I've been in many hotels in my life and this is the very 1st to put charges on my card before checking out. Even the Langham in Chicago didn't do such a thing.

Came out here for the game. Wanted to enjoy our visit but found out quickly the employees of this establishment like to post their guests private business on social media. We’ll be finding somewhere else because now we have to be concerned with the safety of our children and our family. We’ll also be reaching out to corporate with screenshots.

I really feel they go above and beyond with a quality that is hard to find in the US. A rare gem where they truly care about the actual energy of the place vs appearances. If you are trying to decide, I would say stay here where you can actually feel a restorative relaxation in your body. Everything from the floral aromas, rejuevenating amenities to the good taste in music to the landscaping and genuinely caring staff.

Disclaimer: I stayed here using my Amex Platinum benefit, so I definitely wouldn’t call myself a regular at nice hotels like this, but the perks were awesome: in addition to the $100 bar/amenity credit, I also got a $80 credit for breakfast at The Terrace restaurant on premises. Great value if your Amex $200 credit covers a good chunk of the nightly fee. There was a $35 extra amenity charge however. I also got a room upgrade with a patio. It was awesome. Oh and you get two fancy chocolate bars as part of the Amex thing. The room was great and had the usual amenities and more: shoe towel, nail polisher, water bottles, nice shampoo/conditioner. Check out the Japanese garden, pool and hot tub too. The Christmas decorations were quite impressive.

Super friendly staff. Very welcoming. They were very helpful in changing our room to the one we liked the view better. Properly clean. I do recommend this hotel. If you’re visiting LA and need to go around the city every day, consider renting a car and their valet parking is wonderful and hassle free

Astonishing inn to remain! They have an amazing pool, clean water, extraordinary food, and a chilly brew. I will visit and stay longer since I like the view before the room, which straightforwardly prompts the pool. The rooms are an extraordinary size, and a portion of the perspectives are amazing. You will not be baffled!

We stayed 5 nights? and we have no complaints. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were amazing. The breakfast was delicious (the bar with omelettes and Belgian waffles? yes, absolutely!). Even the parking attendants were nice. The hotel is located close to all the places we wanted to visit. Griffith Park is very close... The sunsets are amazing!

This is a beautiful 5 star hotel and you should consider booking if it's your wedding day or etc. I booked the One Bedroom Huntington Suite for my wife and I on our wedding day weekend. I booked it like 5 months ahead so the pricing was way better than when I checked the week of. It's valet parking only so FYI if you plan on having guest over and if you're staying at the hotel, they are already charging you for it but you can go in&out. We were on the 5th floor and we really love our room with the view of the yard where people have weddings. Our booking came with a reward for the in-room dining so we took advantage of that as well. The breakfast was delicious, just be aware that the wait could be an hour if you order during the busy time. The elevator that we took, reminded me of a haunted mansion because it's really old and some of the button light doesn't work.

Rooms expensive as expected but every additional amenity overpriced. 2 cocktails over $50. Parking exorbitant and tea and coffee available for 1 hour in lobby forcing you to go to their restaurant. 30$ for 2 cappuccinos that were terrible. My main complaint is that they charged us a $600 security fee that upon checkout they said would be credited back to us. It took many calls w American express to get the credit. The setting beautiful but I would have rather paid more per room w more comps. On a positive note, gym and pool terrific. Spa beautiful too.

We wanted to order room service and needed to place our order for breakfast, but the QR code for the menu was not working, so we weren't able to order our food. We then tried to call room service from the hotel room phone, and the phone was down. We weren't able to call anyone. We then used our cell phone to call the front desk. We expressed our concerns about our inability to order our breakfast. The front desk said that they were out of paper menus and kept saying that they were very busy and that they weren't able to take my breakfast order. This is not acceptable for a five star hotel. We were not impressed. Service was horrible and won't be coming back.

We went to the terrace restaurant for a family brunch. The service was poor - no one asked us for drinks, the food came slow, and getting any issue addressed took several minutes while the food became cold. I was surprised to see someone had already filled in the dollars and cents for a 20 percent tip on my receipt - forcing a higher tip than was appropriate for the service.

Valet was good. Staff was super nice at afternoon tea. Tea was phenomenal! Restroom was immaculate. Pricey for small sandwiches but overall it was a good place to visit at least once.

Will return! In summary: Luxurious, great attention to detail. Excellent professional staff. Service at the Terrace Restaurant is prompt and the hostess and waitstaff are welcoming and friendly. Club Lounge staff are very attentive. Ample food/refreshment selection throughout the whole day! The housekeeping staff are also on top of their game. My car was always ready when I called for it from the valet. Well staffed. My wife used the Chuan spa for a massage and it was divine. The gym had top of the line equipment and similar to the rest of the property, was also clean. The grounds of the property were immaculately well maintained. One can tell that this property is managed extremely well and staffed with top level professionals! Well done!

Valet is always a problem here. Every time I swing by for a drink, the valet service is horrible. I still tip them, but it’s like rewarding them for what? Taking 15 minutes to retrieve a car? Three of them standing around chatting while I’m waiting. No no more tipping!

I had a wonderful stay here. It was beautiful and huge. Definitely would recommend for anyone looking to take cute pictures because they had so many nice photo ops but I came alone and didn’t have a friend to photograph me! The gardens here, I only had time to take a quick glance at night but I know they must be stunning in the daylight. It was such a clean and beautiful stay and the staff was amazing. I came here all the way from North Carolina but I would definitely hope anyone looking to stay in LA, picks The Langham because you will not be disappointed!

I was completely satisfied with the service provided in that 5 star hotel. Restaurant and bar are decorated very well. The back yard of the hotel gives you a wonderful view to LA area. It is very calm and safe over there. I think that it is a perfect place for a romantic weekend with your loved one. The staff is very-very friendly and courteous. They are full of respect and understanding when it comes to privacy and security of the clients. Pool area is really nice and good organized with bar access (bar works till 8.30pm). I really like their SPA. It is work of art and perfection. You can relax with your body and soul there. Highly recommend! A+

The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff are friendly and very helpful. The only knock on the place was the food we had at the terrace, while it wasn't bad per say, it certainly wasn't at the standard I'd expect for the price. Otherwise it was a very enjoyable stay.

The Huntington has a long and wonderful history and is a throwback to the glory days of California in the 1920s. I've been staying there since its days as a Ritz-Carlton in the early 1990s. Now the Langham group owns it and has restored much of it to its former splendor -- especially the grounds and the covered bridge over the pool, which is a spectacular showcase for the local art of the late Frank Moore. Service is first-rate, from the restaurant to the valet parking. Our room this time, however, was a little tired. Not much had changed in the Lanai building in two decades, and it showed -- especially with the carpeting and bathroom. But wow the terrace restaurant was spectacular at breakfast, and the grounds, pool and gardens are as beautiful as always. A three-mile run through the amazing neighborhood is definitely worth it. Despite being a little tattered around the edges from a room standpoint, I'd still rate the Huntington as five stars for the overall experience and the proximity to downtown Pasadena.

Really nice afternoon tea at The Lobby Lounge in The Langham. Not all of the sandwiches were my cup of tea but the cakes were lovely and the service was great. Nice atmosphere and lovely hotel with really nice gardens. Worth it for the experience.

I would say I would give this place 10 stars for its service. I specially would like to thank Taylor at the reception. This hotel has a lot of history, it is extremely beautiful and elegant. I couldn’t use any amenities since extremely busy but I saw it. They have 3 restaurants inside the hotels, all of them 5 stars service and food. I would definitely visit again and stay there.

Overall a lovely and stately hotel with great service. Rooms are a bit dated, certain hallways and corridors are extremely cold as it seems like the hotel is attempting to save on their energy bill. I just can’t give this hotel five stars considering they charge a $30/night resort fee (main benefits being wifi, access to a fitness center, and spa access), but they don’t include parking, which is valet only and $47/night. The hotel is located in a residential area and San Marino doesn’t allow overnight street parking without a permit, so you don’t have any other option.

I had a reservation at the Terrace restaurant, for my son graduation, it took me 3 weeks to get in contact with the restaurant, horrible customer service. Went we got there the table was only for 7 people, when my reservation was for 10. The female supervisor, said: sorry we didn't have a good communication for your reservation. I wasn't to happy about the situation Food was good. Mimosas very bad, I think the use the cheapest Champagne and very expensive for what they serve

Lovely stay at the Langham! Our room (1401) was towards the back of the resort but quiet and spacious. The furniture and interior is a little old but clean and well maintained. Service is excellent! Check in, valet and room service were all quick and professional. Location was great. About a 10 min drive to local shops, restaurants and sights. Very safe and kid friendly.

I hated this hotel, because the staff was not friendly, we waited for a long time until the staff could let us get into our room, their service was pretty slow. Then, the staff accidentally double charged us, it was supposed to be $300. It was $300x2=$600. When we got into our room, the carpet wasn't clean. We argued with the staff why they had double charged us. The room's tub in the bathroom was not clean, so we can't take a bath in the tub. When we got a water bottle from the cleaning staff, it is not clean, and it has a bit viruses. We asked the key service for our key that it was for our car, it takes a long time to find our key. We will never go to this hotel again.

Truly fantastic hotel, stayed a week with family including a toddler. Tons of things for young kids to do, impeccable service, grand albeit slightly dated infrastructure. Overall one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at, better for kids than 5-star stalwarts like the Ritz-Carlton, St Regis, Four Seasons, etc.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful area. Tea time is awesome (totally worth it). Service is some of the best I've experienced. On par with high end hotels overseas (very hard to find this level of service in the US). Really enjoyed the stay. Great experience. Not sure how anyone could rate it under 5 stars.

Hotel was in a very nice area! But that’s about it. We were kinda dismissed the moment we walked in because we are not VIP guest for the weekend it seemed like. No one really helped us untill the end when we were asked “how was your stay”. Go figure…. Room was in major need of a makeover… I’ve stayed in nicer motel rooms.

This place is just wow! During check in, Catherine, helped us. She was the sweetest person I have EVER met. She was so kind and respectful. Our room was also beautiful and clean! We got thirsty and asked for waters and the waters arrived in like two minutes! This place has everything I could think of in terms of a luxury hotel. The highlight was definitely their AMAZING SERVICE.

There are not enough words to say how impressed I was with The Langham Huntington. From the start with the car attendants to the front desk reception. So helpful with our stay. The room was large, clean, and met with beautiful classical music on the bose. The king bed was absolutely comfortable!! The outside patio at the pool and gardens was a perfect place for our breakfast. Every single person was so helpful, pleasant, and courteous.

We enjoyed our stay at the Langham - nice facilities and grounds; awesome staff that was very friendly and helpful; great current pool setup and excited to see the new pool once it's done; nice location near the main downtown strip of Pasadena, easy to get to and from airport and the wedding we were in town for. Overall great hotel and welcoming stay! - Reservation was easy as we reserved with a wedding block - I believe they were opened up/expanded the block a couple times, so it was great they still honored the initial price. - Arrival was great - super nice when we called and they accommodated an early check-in since we came from a ways away. Check in was quick and easy and they got us to our room so we could relax and settle in. - Rooms were a little older/dated, but they mentioned they were in the process of upgrading a lot of the rooms. - Staff was awesome for the entire trip - very helpful, always smiling and seemed to be excited and enjoyed working there and it showed which made our trip more enjoyable. - Internet/WiFi was great - worked the entire time and all over the property without issues. - Departure was painless and they were helpful with us leaving and feeling heard and appreciated for staying. - The Text Messaging service was great and super quick to respond and address issues/questions. Super cool feature that was great to have available for quick answers and help!

Every visit to the Langham is a pleasure and today was no different. Experience with valet is always pleasant and efficient. They are kind and provide the exact information you need. The hotel smells amazing when you walk in and you are always greeted with a beautiful floral display. Signage is clear and staff are attentive and helpful.

This hotel is historic and beautiful. I had a huge garden cottage suite. Room is a bit tired and can use a refresh. Unfortunately there was major construction happening right outside of my door, which I was not informed of and did not receive any discount for. It was also a hike from the lobby with no ramps so I needed help with my luggage.

Very nice, historic hotel. Unfortunately our room was very noisy. Every night starting around 3am, we heard what sounded like furniture being moved around on a bear floor. Other than that, the staff was very friendly and the place was beautiful.

This place is everything a resort should be. Really good food. The staff doesn't hover but seems to be there when you need something. The grounds are exceptional. The spa, and the gym are 1st rate. Worth the money

We were invited to a wedding here. The outdoor grounds were lush with soothing night lights. The land is elevated so you get a good city view too. Servers were neat and polite. Mostly upscale crowd in the hotel dressed up and classy. A very pleasant experience. The lobby has many lounge areas and bar.

What a remarkable architecture! I love the vintage ambience of The Langham, Huntington, Pasadena. We had a most wonderful Sunday breakfast there, and everything was impressive, the freshness and the inventiveness of the food, the service and the addictive coffee... It was just a rare escape from reality, and a fun way to travel back to the glamorous haydays reminiscent of the era of The Great Gatsby.

What can I say ? It was sublime - the food, the atmosphere and ohhh my goodness, the architecture and decor of the building and hotel. $16 for the car valet and amazing service from start to finish. Food was amazing and I cannot say anything bad about this place - I’ve been to a few of the Langham’s worldwide and this one is in the Huntington area but a hidden jewel. Breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner or just drinks, a great place to be.

We had the perfect stay. Everywhere we walked was a photo op. The bridge for the family wedding photo was on point. We were there for a wedding and it was 5 star stay. Everyone went out of their way to see that we had anything we wanted. The wedding location was beautiful. It is historic and every detail is well appointed. The reception was grand. Great dinner, the desert table was second to none and the band was perfect. They knew how to play while we ate then had the perfect song list for dancing. NO rolling on the river or we are family cheesy tunes. Sign of a great band. Afterwards we had a beautiful spot to catch up before going to our room and sending up for a late night bite with room service. Our room was classically beautiful a tad small but it is a really old hotel. We'll be back!

If you're willing to pay a hundred dollars a person for afternoon tea, you will be delighted by the food, service, and atmosphere. It is lovely. If you want to "get your money's worth" you're not looking for this tea. It's pricey, but if you don't mind, you will love it.

It was a wonderful stay until the experience to request the invoice ruins it. I was there for work and from day 1 I requested the invoice of my room and tax which I think is very basic. The hotel keeps asking me to request from Booking.com and Booking.com keeps asking to do the other way around. Nearly one month passed I still didn’t receive the thing I need ie a soft copy of my invoice which I need to expense. Most of other hotels I booked the same way have no such issues

We stayed here for a week for vacation. This place is more beautiful than most parks. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is great too, although a bit far from the Getty, LAX and the beach. However, I have to take one star off because the Tap room (a bar) is purely terrible. From service, the overpriced mixer made cocktails to the fact they double charged me for the drinks. In conclusion, I would stay here again when visiting LA but stay away from the bar at all costs.

Really enjoyed my stay. Pet friendly — dogs are allowed everywhere except for 1 garden and indoor dining areas. Valet parking only but the valets are really nice. When they noticed my EV’s battery is low, they even offered a charge overnight. They seem to have unlisted L2 chargers for valet use. It saved me a trip to & the wait at a DC fast charger station! Breakfast was wonderful and included if booked via Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts.

The service in every situation was outstanding as was the catered dinners. Don't miss the Terrace or the Tap Room!! Loved the bed and the gorgeous Italian Marble bathrooms! It was spendy but the service was worth every penny.

I rarely write reviews but I stayed here last week and a valet here named Phil made a lasting impression on me. He greeted me with a smile and was so nice to me and my dad. I just bought a corvette recently and was extremely worried about some one else parking my car. Phil took care of all my worries and even joked and made me laugh. He even walked us into the hotel and made us feel welcomed there Introducing us to a world of superior service that me and my dad just weren’t used to. We felt like Kings! Thanks Phil!

Beautiful and well maintained grounds, excellent service throughout. I had access to the Langham Club, which was an unexpected bonus. Stayed in a large double queen room with a patio. This is my favorite hotel, I loved all four days.

I booked one room with two beds. They were renovating the room, then they upgraded us to two rooms. We stayed 3 nights during Thanksgiving holiday. Huge rooms. Rooms we stayed were a little outdated, but the bed was very comfortable. Very nice environment. So peaceful. Great service. Will stay again.

My favorite thing about the Langham is its quietness, size, and proximity to LA. It’s wonderful that the hotel has remained in service since 1807. During our stay we enjoyed the excellent attention to detail — flowers at every table, Mother’s Day touches across the property. The two gardens and four restaurants were great. We liked the pool. One note: we were told that a microwave would be brought up to our room so we could heat up our leftovers from lunch — this never happened. Not worthy of a one star decrease, but disappointing considering the quality of the hotel. Front desk/management should improve their task fulfillment system. Excellent rooms, great service, magnificent property, simply the best. I look forward to our return.
