Very comfortable rooms with excellent service overall. The only reason why I did not give 5 stars is because when we checked in the room had not been cleaned properly. There was spilled rice on the carpet and a light bulb missing in a lamp. This was promptly fixed but it makes one wonder about attention to detail as this is not a cheap hotel. For the rest of our stay the housekeeping was excellent. We found the valet service quite fast and enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast.

Very nice stay. Clean rooms and friendly desk staff. View was just ok for a "mountain view" upgrade. Breakfast not included, but that's ok. Pool is outdoor with no hot tub. Also ok. Only mentioning to set expectations. Valet staff were attentive and helpful.

So went to the hotel for a gem show (didn't book a room so I can't speak to that). Ended up finding a spot to park a block away (nice savings $12 on hotel parking). Turns out there's a convenient back entrance/exit out of the hotel to the parking structure. That meant I didn't have to walk to the front and make my way around again to get to my car (on the street). Found out there wasn't a convenient side door to get to the street. That's OK they'd rather people park in the lot, I get it. So I proceeded to an exit I did see in the back. Sign says emergency exit. I saw no sensor so I planned to go out the door. Problem is THE EMERGENCY EXIT DOOR IS LOCKED! Hello? Safety? Big no no in my book. Other than that the hotel looked clean and maintained. On the small side size wise which is also fine. Thing is, I find one safety issue and think to myself, there may be more.

Was in town for a school conference and the staff was great. Beautiful rooms, housekeeping was very attentive. Front desk staff was excellent. Even the lounge and bar staff were great. They provided hot, flavorful, quality meals. I had a strawberry daiquiri my last night there and purchased a nice great breakfast for my trip back to Texas. I really enjoyed my visit. Thanks to all of your hardworking staff, they made me feel welcomed, like a home away from home and everyone was like family. Thank you Hilton, for an amazing customer experience.

It was a good stay. Bed was comfortable and it was clean. The walls are very thin and I could hear the guests next door. Even though it was expensive, it was the only hotel I could find when I drove from San Francisco. It was a good stay, but I probably won't be back. I can't seem to figure out why people would spend more and not even get free parking, or free breakfast. I stayed at a Hampton Inn the day before and they offered all that although it wasn't as nice as this hotel.

It’s a wonderful, well-maintained hotel in Pasadena. Staff were welcoming; valets were courteous and friendly; and the Corner Craft & Kitchen Bar had an inviting selection of drinks, small plates, and entrees. Only negative is that newly renovated bathroom was small: width of shower area could be wider as I kept hitting my elbows against the wall/glass door.

My family stayed here for three nights, and I'm glad it wasn't four. Tino in the restaurant is a shining star, but Marissa behind the front desk is the keeper of soft goods. Her defense of the hotels true currency is commendable, but very frustrating for guests. It's good to be home! I realize this is a 3 star hotel so my expectations were tempered. From a distance everything about this place is fine. If you look closely you can begin to see the age of the building, and if you stay more than one night you'll begin to see issues with mindset of some of the desk staff. Just to keep this short, be warned! Obviously, this hotel is set up on a monetary system. There is an underlying, sinister financial system at this hotel that I became aware of immediately. Pillows and towels folks! If you desire more than the desk staff feels appropriate then you are in for a war. Notice I said war not battle. My war for one towel and two pillows per person in our room was an everyday event. If Marissa is behind the desk don't waste your time. I suggest a flank move, look for house keeping people in the halls. These folks are nice and seem to be unaware of Marissa's grand scheme to corner the market on towels and pillows.

Great location and rooms are nice and clean. Unfortunately the Hotel Manager, Lobby Manager and Restaurant Manager need to keep quarters on hand. They could not even come up with $4.00 in quarters for laundry for me. As I travel for work and would like clean cloths, this hotel failed in being prepared. Made me wonder what else is wrong or not complete or cleaned now. If you can’t maintain a roll of quarters, then something is wrong. I won’t be back and I recommend being prepared when staying at this hotel. They could run out of clean towels or anything else.

Staff is great. Housekeeping very friendly and did a wonderful job. Tonie at the restaurant was fantastic! He took great care of us and very friendly. The restaurant prices seem high but the portions are great, service excellent, and it's in a hotel so for all that the prices are OK. Highly recommend breakfast. Love the remodel, the rooms and hallways look great. We loved everything about our room and the view of the mountains were wonderful. We have other trips scheduled for Pasadena and will stay here again!

Hilton on the East Coast has been terrible and I was hesitant but this hotel was phenomenal! Location was perfect and away from the hustle and bustle of downtown LA. The rooms were sooooo clean and service was phenomenal! The food is amazing as well. When I return to LA this will be where we stay! Great job to the staff!

So took a chance knowing that the booking had a non-refundable booking policy and booked for 9 nights believing that it would be a good hotel. 3 nights into the stay I get a letter underneath the room door stating that they will not have any hot water for 3 days between 10a and 4p each day. Imagine booking into a hotel and then finding out 3 days into the stay that they won’t have any hot water??? Apparently (from what the front desk staff stated) it’s an annual boiler maintenance but then if that’s the case, why tell the guests less than a day before the maintenance that they would not have hot water? I definitely wouldn’t have booked our stay here if they were going to be doing maintenance on their boiler and that there would be no water. At first they just said sorry but all the other guests were in the same situation, which is irrelevant and unacceptable. They then say they’ll do me the courtesy of refunding our non-refundable bookings for the two rooms we had booked. The non-refundable policy would only apply if I’m actually getting what we booked. Instead we were going to get a stay paying full price and no hot water for 3 days. Giving a 1 star review is already generous enough. I definitely wouldn’t recommend or ever come back to this hotel again. Ended up having to book last minute at another hotel in the area. Hotel guests be aware. You never know when they will have not hot water here.

I was there for a work related and the hotel was great, the only problem I had was the indoor dining hours seemed very limited, and the fees for room service is extremely way to high. Since I stayed at many hotels I have never seen the room service with so many fees with extreme prices. I was not happy flying in being tired and had to wait for a certain time to eat and on top get hit with a high bill for it. Once I got the food it was very good although it probably was a bad taste in my mouth paying knowing for a salad, chicken sandwich and a desert was 70 bucks including the fees. I have paid 70 bucks for steak and lobster... the food was very good and a nice size plate so to be fair, ill say it again. Everything else top notch, clean rooms, nice people at the front desk and good service at the food and bar area..

I stayed at the hotel for a conference. The room was cleaned daily with sufficient towels provided. I enjoy the convenience of a digital key using my cell phone. I found the location of electrical outlets inconvenient when I needed both a light over the desk and a place to plug in my laptop. To improve upon the setup, I rearranged the desk temporarily during my stay.

Good: location, doors locked, AC worked. Valets were fast. Has a bar. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Bad: staffed by B-Team that can't handle simple tasks, "mountain view" balcony is directly over noisy AC compressors, constant nickel-and-diming every step of the way. Inexcusable: filled out a feedback form with similar comments and received an email from the manager accusing me of not being wealthy enough to understand how a Hilton works rather than their "limited service sister brands". Bottom line: great place if you love repeated transactions and you want to say "I'm staying at the Hilton, darling." Amenities don't really match the cost, even with California pricing.

I don’t have any complaints with this place and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only issue I had was trying to find the front desk and the fact that they didn’t have elevators to get to the main lobby. there’s a ton of reserved parking which left us to work pretty far from the main lobby. There is a 15 min loading zone but I didn’t see that until after I checked out so that was my fault. Not really any complaints about the room and the area is close to a bunch of downtown Pasadena bars, which is why I got it.

Shout-out to the valet guys. I left them a Hertz Polestar 2 electric car and, without being asked, they charged it overnight from 50% up to 90%. The front desk and restaurant staff are friendly and efficient. The room was quiet and comfortable. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Old Pasadena where most of the restaurants are.

We booked this about a half hour before we arrived. They were friendly and kind. Rooms were clean. I’m kinda a freak about cleanliness. The desk gals, bellhop, and vallet guys were all fast to offer service. The bellhop even got us ice so we could have a cocktail. Thank you

Front desk clerk am Saturday morning check out wasn't friendly. Room had stains on carpet throughout room. Kids running around room above us and party going on below us past 11pm on Friday night. Hard to get sleep after all that. Not sure I would stay here again. I love the room layout and space absolutely awesome. Housekeeping was wonderful.

I absolutely love this Hilton. I’m usually here twice a year for a conference and I’m never disappointed with my stay. The rooms are clean, the hotel as everything you could need, and the service is impeccable. The space is designed really well for conferences and meetings as well. The location is central and there are many great restaurants, bars, and cafes nearby. One of the best Hilton Hotels I’ve stayed at! Definitely my go-to hotel in Pasadena. Would recommend that you stay here if you’re ever in Pasadena!

Every member of the staff that we encountered was amazing. However, I want to mention Itzel specifically. She went above and beyond to check us in. She graciously greeted us, answered all our questions, and accommodated our room location request. Additionally, she talked glowingly about this Hilton property and the management team. She definitely set the tone for the rest of our stay. Definitely recommend this hotel.

In this trying time your remaining staff has been above and beyond. I want to say Thank You to Izzy the Bellman. He helped us from the time we entered and all the way to the conference floor. He then helped the group staff move tables because the banquet department was gone after 5pm. He did not hesitate and that is why he deserves this special shout out!!!

Husband and I stayed here to be closer to the place I was having surgery and also because I needed to recover in an environment free from pet dander. The rooms were nice, bed was comfortable, shower had good water pressure and even had a small patio balcony that overlooked the a building and parking lot. So not the greatest view but possibly just the room we were in. The location was perfect to old town pasadena and extremely close to my surgeons office. I did have a huge problem with the parking arrangements. You could self park in this parking structure for $25 but that was only a one time deal. Meaning no ins or outs but there was valet parking for the same price. With valet you could come and go as you pleased but wasn't possible to get anything out of vehicle once you did have them park. I was annoyed when I realized I left a few things I needed in the car and felt awful having valet bring my car up, grabbing my items & then to have them take the car back to park. Ordered room service and a movie, the food was good but unfortunately the movie was not. But that is not on the hotel. The room had an alarm clock with the wrong time, a blow dryer, safe, fridge, coffee maker, iron and ironing board. I felt like it needed a microwave, robes and slippers, pen & paper, and lacked a bible. Overall we were happy with our stay and would do it again.

Great staff, always makes you feel welcome and happy to have you stay at the hotel. Lobby and casual restaurant/bar are well appointed. Food is good though a bit pricy and service is excellent. Rooms very clean. Beds are extremely comfortable…and I’d love to steal the pillows.

I certainly wish they had better more adequate parking facilities for people visiting the hotel for an evening without staying overnight. If facilities do exist but it takes some doing to find them and valet can't be helpful

I highly recommend the Hilton in Pasadena. It's a fantastic place to stay whether you're vacationing or staying for business. It has all the amenities you'll need and staff is very friendly and helpful. I will be staying here again.

Our stay was amazing. The entire hotel is spotless and made me feel very safe in this pandemic. But the best part? The restaurant next to the lobby. Service and product was consistently perfect. Out of all the restaurants in Pasadena we could have gone to during our two-day stay, we ate dinner and breakfast both days in the hotel restaurant. The sausage gravy with biscuits and bacon with the fruit plate was phenomenal! The produce was so fresh it was like they picked it to order, themselves. I am unsure how they could turn such a basic breakfast dish into a gourmet meal but they did it. And presentation is key, which to no surprise- they nailed that, too. For dinner we had the beef short ribs with a red wine sauce that was so tender it all just fell apart with the fork and quite literally melted in my mouth. Even the buffalo chicken wings were on point, which is hard to get right by my standards. They were crispy and the perfect size. I would recommend 10/10 to a friend. The staff treated us like family. There was attention to detail in every aspect of their operations. Even the gentlemen working valet were extremely kind and helpful. This will be where I continue to stay during my business trips. This was my first stay but I can promise it won't be the last! Thank you, Hilton staff for making our stay in Pasadena that much better! We appreciate you!

The best Hilton to stay at. This location has no pet’s and flies attacking you. I really enjoyed my stay at this location. Highly recommended. The staff were friendly and respectful, the rooms were extremely nice, and they had sanitizer and wipes throughout the entire hotel. What a great place to stay.

Stayed there for four nights this past week. Enjoyed ourselves very much. Very clean rooms very friendly staff as well. Just felt the bar area could be more conducive to relaxing rather than the too contemporary lighted area it sits in.

If you are visiting the LA area and are looking for a safe and comfortable stay than this is a solid option. You are going to get the amenities that you need (unless you need dry cleaning on Memorial Day weekend). The rooms were standard with a mostly clean facilities. The bed and pillows were not the most comfortable. Staying here requires you to Valet park your car every time which can get annoying if you are in and out like we were. The restaurant serves basics for high prices and it would be beneficial to go out for breakfast or dinner. Although they state the coffee cart is open at 6, we were unable to get coffee in the morning before heading to Disneyland. My suggestion would be stay here if you need a comfortable and affordable option.

  • 3/5 David H. 1 year ago on Google
The service at the restaurant is excellent. Tino is the best server. They are focused on delighting customers with their standards-focused breakfast menu (eggs any style, fruit, yogurt, pancakes, etc). The price is surprisingly low for a hotel breakfast. The rooms are a bit below where you would expect for a hotel that appears to be newly renovated. The beds are old box spring style that lack the firmness you find at other hotels. Pillow are similarly shabby. Normally I sleep with two pillows, but found a minimum of four needed to give this side sleeper enough support. Finally, the ADA suites are spacious, accommodate mobility scooters and wheelchairs. Yet, the regular rooms are not totally accessible. They feature tubs not ADA showers. This meant a big markup to get the accessibility features that come standard on most regular rooms.

Loved our stay at the hotel. Could not be better. The staff was superb, May and Eli greeted me after a tiring day traveling with my 90 year old mother, and rental car delays of 3 hours. Any item that I had a question on, May was on it. She made sure our room supported my Mom well. Later on, they helped me understand how to work some things in the room my exhausted self could not remember how to do. We stayed 5 days and the staff from Valet, check-in, maintenance, dining room, to housekeeping, were as good as it gets - responsive, professional, and thoughtful. Very happy with everything. Thank you team!

Comfy rooms and super friendly staff! It’s within walking distance of a lot of great amenities too. I ordered room service a few of the evenings of my stay and Rosie was SO sweet and helpful — her bright and cheerful demeanor made a difference after a long day! I would definitely recommend the Hilton Pasadena to anyone staying in the area.

What a wonderful stay my wife and I had at Hilton Pasadena from 11/19/22 through 11/26/22. The accommodations were excellent, the food and service was consistently good in the cafe, the staff was very helpful and friendly. We especially enjoyed how well our housekeeper, Gloria took care of our room all week! Thank you all for making Thanksgiving so special as we visited with our family in the Pasadena/Glendale, CA area!

This was a trip that was way overdue and everyone at the Hilton were absolutely incredible! Kim was the Front Desk associate when I called the Hotel. Having, myself, been in Hospitality… Kim was very attentive when I asked for an early check-in and was able to accommodate the request! That saved us some hours from not knowing where or what to do before the actual check-in time! The Housekeepers were all nice and friendly as well how helpful it was when we called for any additional amenities! We were ready to step out when I realized I had left my facial mask in the car… I went down to Front Desk and asked if they had any… I was actually handed two masks in return! A great location… literally walking distance from the Pasadena Convention Center! Definitely a place we will keep in mind for future trips and events!

Please excuse this extended review but it is absolutely necessary... From the moment we checked in to the minute we left, the staff in this fine establishment was A+!!! I have stayed in Hilton's locally, nationally and internationally, and THIS particular hotel was simply spectacular. Clean! Smelled great everywhere, the staff!!!! Amazing. Did I say the staff is amazing? The staff at this hotel is A-mazing! Thank you, Hilton Pasadena, for one of the most beautiful stays our family has ever experienced. Well done. Dr. Marv Reid

The hotel is nice, seems new with updated layout. Just be aware that they charge $50 for a late check out, even if you are a Hilton Honors member. That is horrible way to try to get extra money from customers. Maybe they just want to discourage late check outs, but other hotels manage to accommodate them and adjust their cleaning assignments. It is tragic to their customer service and the perception of my experience with them.

Clean, comfortable rooms! Chaise Lounge chair is A +. Enjoyed Avocado Toast one morning; ; found it outstanding. Did grab & go the following morning with an Expresso and off the charts Cappuccino Muffin at Check-Out.

I stayed at the Hilton Pasadena last month on business travel to the area. I can’t say enough good things about the customer service I received from the staff, the hotel manager, who gave me a wonderful room with a balcony that was amazing, to the restaurant. The food was so good. And the valet staff was great as well. All of this professionalism means a lot when you travel a lot for business. I have an upcoming business trip to the area this month and will stay there again. Definitely recommend.

New visit June18 2023: Manager Eli was outstanding, and set out to make sure we had a nice visit. He was organized, helpful and went the extra mile for us. He is the reason we will be back. The hotel rooms, though, are still a little dated. Also, like many hotels, they cut back cleaning staff and daily service under the guise of Covid-19, but the Hilton chain decided to be cheap and didn't bring back the staff. Unfortunately, it affects service. Now check-in is at 4 instead of 3!!! Also, our room weirdly only had ONE towel. I noticed this at 9 PM. I called housekeeping and ordered towels, but an hour later, still no towels. So, I called the front desk. After another 20 minutes, the front desk called to see if we got our towels. Nope. By this time it was very late and I decided to shower and use the hand towel while my husband went to track down towels for the morning. The towels finally showed up. Bottom line: They need more support staff. That seems to be a Hilton corporate cheap-arse decision, and that is why many of our friends have changed to boutique hotels. We hang in there with Hilton because we travel a lot and do points; otherwise, we'd make the change to cute rooms with good service, too. This visit is upgraded to 3 stars because of manager Eli, but corporate decisions are bogging down the Hilton brand. April 16, 2023 visit: My rate was for room and valet parking, but they sneaked on an extra valet charge. Beverly Hills Hilton is the WORST at this, and I was so disappointed that an extra $25 was tacked on at the last minute after confirming rate and parking. The rooms still look a little dated even after their remodel--still browns and yellows--but it was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast restaurant was updated and nice, but I really feel Diamond level members should get free coffee when you use the breakfast credit. It's a little thing, but they should reward loyalty. It was a little way off Colorado Blvd. I like to browse Vromans at night or walk after dinner, but I'm not sure I would do that at night. The cleaning staff was great. Everyone was helpful and friendly, but it's really hard to get past 2 stars with me if the bill is incorrect. Keep trying.
