AMAZING! The food was fresh and hot! My omelette wasn’t prepared the way I prefer it. They didn’t ask any questions, they prepared a fresh omelette PERFECTLY to my liking. I appreciate the outstanding service and attention all the staff showed. Thanks guys!

Great local coffee shoppe with down to earth breakfast options including omelettes, grits, sandwiches and sausage gravy & biscuits. Walked in my first visit and was greeted by four of the staff before we even were seated. Such a great start to our dining experience. Clean and quaint but not overly trendy. Just good people serving great food with smiles and a fair price for families and those stretching their dining budget. Great meal and great service indeed! Thank you Central Coffee Shoppe!

The place was clean, staff nice. The food came out fast and portion sizes are good. That being said..I wish they had freshly squeezed orange juice. This to me is just an ordinary American breakfast.

This place was just the perfect place to grab a hearty, homie tasting breakfast plate on Central Ave! The outdoor patio was cute and comfortable, went great with the amazing weather that morning. And the service here was exceptional! Everyone from the server, to the gentleman cleaning tables (probably the owner) was super sweet, hospitable and make you feel very welcome. Now last but not least, the breakfast itself was super delicious! I ordered the corned beef hash on a hungry stomach and could not finish my plate. Very good portions. I am also VERY picky when it comes to corned beef hash but have to say this one was top on my list! The potatoes, eggs and toast were made just right. I have zero complaints about the food. Would definitely come back to try more breakfast items if I'm ever visiting St. Pete again👍

A great place for breakfast or lunch in downtown St Pete. This is more of a cafe or restaurant than a coffee shop. It has the feel of a traditional dinner, very relaxed. Food was good, the service was outstanding, I will be back. *My only negative, it's time to reopen the counter service!

Great little diner in St Pete… been coming here for a while and the food is spot on! Billie has been a morning delight when I am there. She is very friendly, cordial and funny. I due miss Libby working there.. she was full of personality and fun to talk to…Ryan does a great job!

If I lived in the area, I'd visit frequently. Astoundingly good English muffin, barely burnt, but that made it amazing! Warning: if you bring curious children, be careful where you sit; some of the tables have humorous signs you might not want to explain over breakfast.

Decent breakfast in downtown St Pete. The omelettes were decent, home fries lacked flavor and the toast was standard fare. $45 for 3 adults with Coffee.

Awesome old school diner style breakfast spot with great food at a good price point. Made me feel like I was back in North Jersey. The vibes brought me to a happy place for sure.

This place is similar to a waffle house, but I think it's more of a mom and pops type of diner. The staff is very friendly. They were really busy however they managed to provide us fast service. I ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, country potatoes, pancakes and toast. They forgot my toast 😕. But the bacon was perfect and crispy. I was bummed that they didn't have hash brown but once the country potatoes came in, I was truly satisfied they were delicious. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to everyone. My boyfriend agreed and loved his breakfast as well.

Fast & friendly service. Perfectly cooked patty melt with fries! Everything was hot, fresh, quick and delicious. Sweet tea was on point too 🫶Can’t wait to return for breakfast.

Came across this place looking for brunch this morning, I told my boyfriend that we needed to find a cute place that has some funk lol . This place is so cute the service was fast and the food was good !!! The coffee was delicious. I love how this place had the old dinner coffee mugs .

Comfort food at its finest! This is one of my regular spots, either for the friendly service from Libby, Billie, & others, or for their awesome homefries (which I order with grilled onions mixed in - YUM!!!). Sometimes the term “no frills” is a good thing! This is a solid choice for inexpensive morning fuel. The French vanilla creamers are a nice recent touch too!

We were in about a week ago. This diner felt so clean and comfy. The staff was amazing! Super friendly to my children and made my family of 4 feel comfortable. The food was delicious, the portions were great, and the prices were affordable and on point. Highly recommend! We would go again for sure!

Best breakfast I have had in along time. I ordered the French toast with scrambled eggs. Also got a side of home fries that were amazing, nice and crunchy yet still soft in the middle. My husband got the pancakes and bacon. The bacon was crispy and amazing as well. Service was a little slow but they were busy so understandable.

A really excellent, no-frills, friendly cafe, with very good food at a reasonable price. We each had a perfectly cooked omelet that had clearly been made with fresh ingredients; and it was served steaming hot. The sides of grits (creamy textured) and pancakes were made with equal care. My Dad is a local but had never been. I think he’ll be a regular. Love that you can see your food being cooked, and that its open at 6.30 am. A really great place, and very clean. I can see why it’s such a popular place for breakfast and lunch.

Down to the neon Central Diner sign, this place provides a classic diner experience. Home fries can mean many different things. Here, scallop potatoes, cooked on the grill behind the counter, are fantastic. I’ve only had breakfast here, and The John’s Special is really popular, but I’m an omelette fan and they are great here. The servers are awesome and know a litany of regulars by name. Give Central Diner a try!

Stopped in just after a mural tour with Laura Bradley from Go Running Tours. Grabbed a breakfast but was hungry and forgot to take pictures. Simple breakfast of eggs, bacon and a bagel. Service was on point. Love the sign out front!!
