It is a hotel. It has beds, bathrooms, pillows etc. They no longer come to your room daily and refill towels/soaps or clean your rooms. They will come in on the 5th night. However, you can ask the front desk to replenish your towels/soaps as you leave for the day. They will not come into your room while you are there. Their breakfast is available a la carte. Very expensive. They have about 8-10 couches in the lobby, random hotel tables, it is a very strange set up. Lots of homeless near the property. Every morning when we left there was a homeless person sitting in their courtyard. The carpet in the hallways is wrinkled up, be careful when you walk so you don't trip. Overall, it's a bed. AC is cold, shower is hot. Nothing more, nothing less. Our family will not be staying here in the future. Lots of options available.

We were in the area on a family holiday with our 10 & 13 year old to see all the Los Angeles sights. I believe we were at this hotel for 5 nights. The hotel was very conveniently located from just about everything (about 30 minute drive to Disney, Universal, Venice Beach, Hollywood Blvd) The staff was very friendly and helpful. When I checked in I was greeted by a staff member named Franklin. Because we were travelling from Canada I asked him if he knew any places to get my PCR test. He told me he'd work on it and get back to me. Approx 30 minutes later he called my room and told me to check my emails because he sent me a long list of free places to get my PCR test. I was very impressed by this. Overall, the hotel was very comfortable, clean & we felt safe in the area. We'll return again the next time we are in town.

This is a review for a stay on December 2021. The hotel is clean and the guest room are big. Very friendly staff. They do housekeeping every three days but if you need to have your room clean give them a call. But you have to be out of your room. You can also get what you need and front desk. Towels, coffee pods, toiletries etc. Close to many Asian restaurants. Most of the guests are Asian. The best I like about the is they have charger for EV. All hotel should have charger for electric cars.

Very nice hotel, I’ve been to multiple hotels across the country but I’ve had my best experiences here. Front desk was really kind and understanding to all of my questions. My family loved the rooms and loved having stores near by. And the pool is in a nice secluded area. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, no complaints here. Thank you for a lovely experience! I much prefer El Monte’s holiday inn than the one in Denver! 😂

10/29/2023 The Holiday Inn El Monte-Los Angeles went through a complete renovation six years ago. It probably is the number one hotel in the city of El Monte and one of the best Holiday Inn chain hotels in the U.S. due to its large elegant lobby with many high-end  comfortable sofas & coffee tables where you can sit and relax, in addition, each guestroom and suite has 370 sqft and 470 sqft, respectively. The pool and hot tub are clean. I enjoyed the hot tub today. Please note that many new Marriott brand name hotels nearby like Sheraton Los Angeles San Gabriel or Courtyard Los Angeles Monterey Park do not have a Hot Tub anymore, so as Conrad Los Angeles. The new Chinese restaurant will be open inside the hotel in two or three weeks. Note: Two beverage dispensers at the lobby often runs out of water. Can't find any towels at the pool area.

Friendly Staff and nice room My family and I enjoyed our 2 days stay. The front desk staff Kimberly was very friendly and welcoming upon checking in. The room was spacious and comfortable. I love the long counter to put our items on. I really appreciate having a higher shower head and good size toilet. We will definitely be back to stay if we are ever in this area.

Beautiful hotel. Full service with conference rooms, gym, laundry, pool, jacuzzi and restaurant on site. Very friendly staff as always with IHG brand hotels. Never be afraid to ask for something-toothbrush, coffee or a ride to the airport if necessary.

This hotel was so great that we stayed twice! Good price, friendly staff, clean room. Just one of the towels was kinda dirty and there was an empty Truly left in our room, but no major issues at all. I would be happy to return~

Stayed for 12 days. They were very helpful and fast with check in especially a late one. They listen to your needs and help you with things you need. The pool and jacuzzi are perfect. The staff are super friendly. There’s also a taco truck outside until 2AM. I enjoyed my stay there and will most definitely keep using holidays Inn when I’m in LA

Great hotel the layout is 5 star. The front desk was great but no wow factor. Great area outside to sit and relax. There claims to be a sports bar across the street but its not really a sports bar. 7 elven and mcdees within walking distance but guard your belongings. Theres just not much around there.

The environment is very nice and fancy. The rooms are designed nicely too. Only thing about my visit was the bathtub sink was a bit clogged when I was taking a shower. Would recommend.

Rooms were clean. Good location. Grounds were beautiful. One MINUS they had no coffee. They had the pods in the room but I missed the good coffee. Housekeeping staff was friendly. Front desk staff didn't look up at all. Price was good considering it was California.

As a platinum member , they upgraded me to a suite which was cool with a separate space for a sofa and two tvs. I used the pool and the hot tub which were nice features but they need to keep it cleaner, there were more than a few dead bugs and leaves in both. The weight room is available but some of the machines are also broken. All in all, good enough stay but some things that can be fixed

If I can give no or negative stars, I would. Beware!! Do not take any x12 (212, 312, 412) stack room. These rooms are next to the main elevator. The beds are right behind the elevator wall it shares. All you will hear and feel is a freight truck rolling by everytime some uses it all night long. I ask the front desk to change another room and they told me no rooms available to change. Bottom line, these rooms are not worth the money or the quality of the brand holiday inn is known for. If I have to put up with this noise and vibration, I would went with a motel and paid a lot less for it. Just terrible!

This is our second time in this hotel. The service is great and the rooms are kept clean. The beds are very comfortable, the room isn’t very big but it’s pretty roomy if it makes sense. They do offer discounts for military and government personnel. They do offer complimentary breakfast. I think it’s a great place to stay if you’re on a budget but don’t want to sacrifice quality. One thing I was bummed about is the cable, they don’t have many channels for kids and whatever channels they did have they kept going out. I’m sure this is something that’s temporary and it will get fixed. This is in El Monte, Ca so there’s plenty of restaurants around the area.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Our rooms were bigger than expected. Staff is super polite and helpful. Laundry facilities and the gym are available 24h. The area might not be everyone's first choice, but it was very quiet at night and it was still cheaper to über back and forth instead of getting rooms in one of the more popular areas.

Great property and location. Only negative thing is that they don’t have a 24/7 front desk for people checking in late or checking out early. No free breakfast either and half the equipments in the gym was broken or out of order.

We stayed for 2 days and had a nice experience!! The area was super quiet and no homeless to be found. The rooms were spacious and clean. We will be back for sure!! The only negative thing I would say is there is no AC in the halls. But no biggie!!♥️

My family stayed here for two days. Our room was spacious. Complimentary EV charging for hotel guests which is great for me. There is a fitness center but all three treadmills didn't properly work. There are some restaurants nearby but not much else to do around this area.

One of the worst service that I’ve ever seen at an IHG hotel in the US. We checked in about 11pm because of our late incoming flight. The front desk clerk Kimberly doesn’t even acknowledged that I am a loyal member of the IHG family. We checked in for two nights. To our surprise when we returned to our room on the second day, our Room is not cleaned and no fresh towels were available in the room. Ms. Kimberly didn’t even bother to mention about cleaning at requested only. She didn’t even bother to say “thank you” for being IHG member. She didn’t offer me points or water options at check in… She keeps telling me about her long day and being tired to work when I asked about the water. At last, the hotel management team didn’t bother to send me a survey about the hotel and it’s situation. A solution about the cost down with the reduction of cleaning the rooms is a terrible trade off for losing their loyalty members. I will longer choose this IHG hotel in El Monte when I am in town next time.

This hotel is absolutely disgusting. Anything over $25 to stay here is unreasonable. The rooms had broken, dirty and hand-me-down furniture. We had mold in the bathroom and hair in the shower. Always wear your socks...the carpet is disgusting and dangerous....there are big ripples in the carpet for a fun night of hazardous tripping. We also had a friendly cockroach visit us in our room.

Service is incredibly slow. It was very difficult to get anything sent up to the room or have our room serviced. The fitness center did not have any type of cleansing products for days. When I asked for them in the morning I was told that the cleaning staff wasn’t in until later in the morning…so, basically, a dirty gym every morning during a pandemic. Very poor.
