It's sad to see so many people suffering in a waiting room while nothing gets done. Better chance taking the ambulance. Been sitting here for 2 hours. My wife has thrown up 6 times while waiting to be seen. I notified them she hasn't held ANYTHING down for 48 hours. Still sitting here. She is dehydrated and needs help. They have provided nothing. I know hospitals are busy but come on. 2 plus hours to take my wife and give her an IV? You have a better chance of dying in the waiting room then anyone helping. When I asked how long she is about to pass out I was told there's no way if telling. You are dealing with people's lives. You don't go to the ER unless it's an emergency. It would be nice if they treated it as such. I guess I'll just sit here until she passes out and see if they do anything then. Complete joke. What is the purpose of an emergency room if your treated as if it's not an emergency? Few months ago I had the same problem. Went to a different ER was out and better in 35 minutes. Full emergency room. Just great workers who understand how to prioritize. Due to the distance we didn't go there but will from here on out. This is a joke.

There were a lot of inconsistencies with the care and follow-through by the physicians. I feel sorry for patients that do not have a family member following up and inquiring about procedures and said hospital protocols that would’ve resulted in my elderly mother being held without food for over 48 hours and submitted to a head CT that unnecessarily so, because one was already performed 24 hours earlier and nobody bothered to read the previous ED orders. There was one nurse that stood out, was empathetic, and is the reason why this is not a 1-star review. Her name is Christina, administrators should commend her for her service.

From the security screener to the transporter discharging my husband our experience was wonderful! Everyone we met was so caring, kind and considerate. The nurses were extremely knowledgeable and did their job extremely well. The doctors spent time with us explaining all The procedures and answering our questions. This hospital is top notch and as a retired nurse with over forty years experience I view my experiences with hospitals through a very critical lens. I am awesome by this facility and would definitely go back again should we have a need. Thank you so much!

Hospital staff and the care are excellent! Outside operations is not. Cigarette butts and ashtrays are under the no-smoking signs, steps from the main entrance. I’ve had a family member here since May 4; an illegally parked vehicle with a flat tire has been flagged, but unmoved for weeks, occupying a handicap spot.

I had an ambulatory surgery here. The pre-op testing was done three days ahead of the procedure. The RN who took care of me was kind and efficient. But after two pokes without finding a good vein for the blood draw, an RN from the IV team was called in to do the job with the guidance of an ultrasound device. On the day of the procedure, the admission process was smooth and pleasant. The staff person there was again kind and efficient. Then a volunteer accompanied me to the prep room. Once again, the RN and the anesthesiologist are kind and efficient. My surgeon also stopped in to explain the procedure and other things that I should know. Afterwards, I waited beyond the scheduled time. I was told that was because the patient before me took longer than expected. They let my wife stay with me in that meantime. Eventually, I was wheeled into the OR. Several persons were working in there. They explained things to me further and got me all set up for the surgery. Then someone put a mask over my nose and mouth, and I was out. When I was conscious again, I was in the recovery room with my wife at my side. My surgeon has already talked to her and assured her that everything in the OR. Thank Providence everything went as planned. Before long, another RN made sure I got all the necessary information and was ready physically to go home. All in all, I am very happy with this facility, and much more than that, I am very grateful for all the professionals who have helped make this surgery a pleasant and successful experience for me.

I could not be more pleased with my experience. The level of care was outstanding ! The nurses and doctors were all friendly, answered all my questions and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. If I had to do it all again I would feel good going to St. Joseph's North.

If you were to describe any ER visit as an overall "great experience", it would have to be this one! From the moment we entered the ER doors to when we left, we were treated with the utmost care. Every single person we came in contact with, from the reception desk, to triage, the administration staff, the lab technicians and the nurses were extremely knowledgeable, polite, professional and kind. Even with all the labs, tests, scans, wound cleaning and suturing that was performed, we were home 3 hours later with peace of mind knowing that everything was going to be ok. We were so impressed by their care and how they had helped calm our nerves and reassure us after such a traumatic event. Everyone should be commended on an excellent job!

I cannot say enough good things about the care I received here. I was admitted for surgery through the emergency room for appendix removal. I did not come across one person that was not helpful and kind. From the man who immediately got me into a wheelchair when I came in, to my amazing surgeon, doctor and anesthesiologist. The nurses here were top notch and made me feel so comfortable. Special thank you to Hayden, Cindy and Sandy. You all make me want to be a better person!

I came in with a head injury. And everyone was amazing. I had a ton of anxiety about getting stitches in my face and Scott who stitched me up was amazing. He took time to make sure I was calm and understood what was happening. Everyone from blood work to CT scan were wonderful. Looking forward to coming back and getting my stitches out.

I had the privilege of being taken care of by my favorite nurse Diana Ortiz RN at the Infusion Center yesterday. She exemplifies what it is to be an awesome nurse by not just doing her job but by going above and beyond her duties. Even when she’s not assigned to me for my weekly Infusion therapy she takes the time out of her day to stop and say hello and check on my progress, ask about my daughter who is a new Dialysis patient. She goes out of her way to offer snacks, warm blankets, assist to the bathroom as needed, explain my treatments and my lab results, obtain new orders from my MD if needed. As a nurse myself I am honored to have an excellent nurse being my caregiver and I’m reminded everyday that it’s people like Diana that makes a big difference in how patients react to their treatments. I wish to honor this nurse Diana Ortiz RN from St Joe North Van Dyke Infusion Center for the DAISY AWARD . Always going above and beyond the call of her duties ♋️🤎🙏🏽

I am finally leaving the hospital after three days. I want to thank everyone who took care of me. You guys were all amazing. I would love to give a special things to the emergency room crew that took care of me before I made it to my room. Even though it was super busy, I did not feel like they skipped a beat when it came to my care. I would also love to thank my overnight, nurse and care tech Patrick & Richard . You too really did your thing. It makes a difference when you can feel that the people around you actually want to care for you. Thank you again for helping me get better over these three days. I’m very happy to be going home !

From entering the ER, the staff & process was great! Then when admitted, the ER doctor, admitting doctor, hospital doctor, nurses, care staff & cleaning staff were all wonderful, friendly, always with a smile & very professional. But my absolutely favorite nurse was “Monique” aka “Mo”. She was super sweet, caring, wonderful company. Very very professional. She very well deserves recognition for going above & beyond the scope of her work.. I would definitely go to this hospital for all my future health needs.

The entire process was efficient. The doctors were so backed up, they canceled my consult (which I didn't think was necessary anyway). The date/time for procedure was scheduled months in advance. Several follow ups were done to make sure I knew what to do. Day/time of procedure they were right on time. I have had others where I had to sit for hours beyond my scheduled time. The doctor provided results and pictures for me to take home that day. There was a follow up call later in the week to confirm the results. The staff at the hospital were all personable and professional.

They did a great job. All nurses were excellent. They checked me in and did blood work right away and then got me into a room as soon as they could. Very fast overall for an ER and Dr saw me very quickly after all tests done. Very efficient and good team in ER there! They even called me a few days after to follow and make sure I was doing ok!

Went in with issue in my groin area and had intense pain and could barely walk. After 1 test and 1 ck from a nurse practitioner not a doctor ( never seen an actual doctor) was told they couldn’t find any issues to follow up with a urologist? Then I was informed the way out is to the right end of hallway make a right then a left ?? I could barely walk,,, no help ,,no assistance,, no offer of a wheelchair or anything? I do have the best health insurance so I really can’t understand why I was pushed out so fast and not really diagnosed or at least some effort to help . My daughter went in with pain in her abdomen and was sent home with a diagnosis of a ovarian cyst rupture and was back in hours with emergency surgery for appendix? My daughter went in sick and left with a diagnosis of no issue and later that day tested positive for COVID 19?? How valuable is your life or your children’s life ? This is my way of telling everyone my past 3 experiences with this hospital as I lay here in piano and can barely walk.

St. Joe's-North are excellent with care and customer service. Every employee we encounter with were pleasant; Dr. Alex in the ER and the Nurse assisting were very professional and informative. Overall all were efficient and some of them went the extra mile. This is the only hospital from all other St. Joseph's Hospitals we have visited in the past that does well for the patient; the rest are not good at patient care.

Everyone on staff took interest in me and took care of me in every aspect. The Drs and nurses were kind and knowledgeable and kept me comfortable during my pain. The food was really good! I wanted a Dr Pepper and was told there were none but one showed up on my dinner tray and I send a very special thank you to the one who provided it for me. It was a positive experience and I appreciate all that was done for me. Thank you all for my incredible care!

This was in 2018 whenever I had a concussion and a fractured skull. The night before I was hanging out with friends and fell off of a golf cart and became unconscious I woke up throwing up and my head was pounding and I felt like I was in dream. My mom didn’t know what had happen because my friends didn’t say much. The next day i was able to tell my mom what had happen up until after me falling. I go to the ER (This ER) with my dad lucky it was in the morning so the wait wasn’t too long. The doctor already could tell I had a concussion from my symptoms and didn’t recommend me getting an CT Scan. My dad asked if he could do a CT Scan because we where already there. The guy takes me in for a CT scan comes back with results and tells me I have a fractured skull. luckily the crack wasn’t big enough for a surgery says the doctors. The doctor gave me a pill for nausea and discharged me and just told me to take Ibuprofen and if it go worse to go to St.Joseph Children’s hospital. Within 12 hours from that visit I got worse and my parents had taken me to St.Joseph Children’s hospital. Saint Joseph Children’s Hospital doctor said that I should’ve never been discharged and I should immediately be transferred over to their hospital (the children hospital) so they could observe me. I was admitted and stayed there for at least five nights and wasn’t allowed to leave and less I ate.... but that’s not the only incident that’s happened at St. Joseph’s Hospital back in 2019 my mother and I got a car accident where we were rear ended nothing major. My mom and I were sore but my mom didn’t want to go immediately because she thought that we were just sore because of the accident and nothing major. A week later We ended up going to the ER (this ER) because we where still feeling bad and it was very uncomfortable to sleep. We were waiting there for a very long time we felt very uncomfortable. It all started whenever we went to get our vitals checked out. The lady in there was very rude and had an attitude. She kept on questioning my mom on why we where here and why did we wait after my mom explained herself multiple times why we didn’t come immediately because she didn’t feel it was major and we were just sore because of the crash. We finally go back into our OWN rooms which I am a minor so I should’ve never gotten my own room. we waited there for about three hours to get the X-ray we were both separated from each other. The x-ray results came back as nothing luckily. And then that’s not even it there’s another incident I was having abdominal pain back in January of this year and they wanted to put an IV in me and I told him multiple times to do my right arm because that’s the arm every nurse successfully gets the IV into. they totally ignored my statement and decided to poke me three times until they went into my right arm I started to feel very uncomfortable and that my statements and opinions didn’t matter. I told him that I was cold and was hoping they’d give me a blanket and they did not my mom had to go out there and ask for one. moral of the story they’re not friendly they’re rude and they do not know how to give the right care especially for head injury which should be treated as a trauma.

My experience at St Joseph's North was easy and smooth - which is what I would want and expect for a hospital stay. The people are fantastic, from the moment i walked in the door until I left. The nurses were absolutely terrific; very responsive, receptive to my needs and passionate. The hospital is far from where I live, however I would go there again if needed.

I was nervous at first since this is my 1st colonoscopy & under sedative procedure. Start from the registration process all the way to the operation room, everyone involved were so nice & made me feel very comfortable. Everyone were so knowledgeable & the whole process went quite well. I would have no problem coming back for any of my future appointments

I chopped off the end of my thumb and St Joseph’s got me back and fixed up so quickly. Everyone was very accommodating and helpful. The woman Mrs Randi did such a phenomenal job with my thumb. I went to a follow up with the hand surgeon and he told me that she saved me from having surgery on my thumb with the quality work she had done! Thank you

I went in this morning with severe back pain that had been bothering me for a few weeks and the staff was excellent. In particular, my nurse, Mandy, really put me at ease. I have severe social anxiety and rarely leave the house and she was very comforting and made the experience very easy for me. 5 stars!

I have been to st Joseph north hospital several times. I have also been to multiple hospitals near by. By far st Joseph north is the best hospital experience. The nurses are skilled and the hospitalists listen and are very thorough in my care. It’s the place I can go and not be worried about watching everything if it’s on time being done correctly etc. I drive farther just to go to st Joseph north. The ER is also good they got me right in and took care of me!

My experience at this ER was less than one star… from the second I walked in to the second I walked out, there was not one ounce of empathy or concern for the amount of pain I was in. Apparently you have to be bleeding out for them to think it’s an actual emergency. I was passing a Kidney Stone but didn’t know that because it’s never happened to me. I had to make the tortured drive there myself because the friend I called thought it’d be cool to take a shower before heading my way, all the while I thought something inside me was going to explode. The waiting room was empty and the woman behind the desk literally rolled her eyes at me, apparently she liked having no customers. I still had to sit there and wait even though I was hunched over moaning in pain. I finally get taken back just to be put in another room to wait some more and when I yelled out that I needed someone to help me two female nurses opened the door and literally yelled at me. The actual doctor, once finally in there, was somewhat nice, had a decent bedside manner, but the rest of the staff, from the those nurses to the lab tech were just absolute heinous individuals who have no business being in the medical field working with people who are ill, especially someone who is clearly alone and scared. The entire experience was one of the most horrible experiences of my life in a medical facility. This place needs to rethink their staffing options. And you can bet your bottom dollar they didn’t hesitate to send me a ridiculous bill that just blows my mind given all they did was give me a shot for pain, read my urine sample, tell me it was a kidney stone then release me after a little over 2hrs… $12 Grand!! What an absolute joke!! Of course my insurance paid most of it but my OOP is still $1,600! And for what??! A nightmare!!

I'm leaving this hospital soon. Today is my worst experience with a nurse and care technician who was not tended to and provided the care I needed. When I came here, I was instructed not to get out of bed due to collapsing and passing out before arriving at this hospital this past weekend. I told the nurse that I would like to go ahead and take a shower and put my clothes on before leaving the hospital. She knew that I could not get off the bed and for her to bring towels and everything for bathing. I have paged the nurse twice for an hour. Then the care tech came, but he said I could go in the shower and not have to wait for them. But said to him that I was instructed not to get off the bed and asked for help. I needed help to remove the bandages from the back of my neck which I couldn't do myself before taking the shower. I just had a revision neck surgery recently. I waited for them to come back and helped me to remove the dirty bandages from the back of my neck to my upper back. The nurse and care tech did not come back for an hour. I told the care tech that I had given up and put clothes on with filthy. The bandages haven’t been changed for the last couple of days. I reminded them already. They ignored. I hope there will be no infection. Now, Im leaving the hospital with the feeling of filthy and upsetting. I'm in hell pain. The care tech said to me that the nurse couldn't give me the medication for pain because the nurse already made me sign the discharge form early, which I didn't know they would do without letting me know. I told him that the nurse should not be clever enough to force me to sign and then do nothing for two hours before leaving the hospital. Is this a joke? The floor I stayed on had few patients (like 4 or 5 patients and a lot of empty beds. I saw the nurses were chatting as if they were not busy. What does this tell me? I already discussed with charging nurse. What's the result? Dunno. This is really lack of integrity, caring and empathy. The day shift nurse teach today is the worst experience. I'm disappointed how it came out on prior to leaving the hospital and the last couple hours So I'm giving lowest rate with two stars.

From the moment I walked in, I was escorted to each place I needed to go to be admitted before the procedure. I didn't have to worry about getting lost when my I was already feeling a bit anxious. Everyone I met along the way was beyond friendly and personable. It really helped my nerves. The nurses were friendly, attentive and professional. I was very impressed with the entire experience. It was a well-oiled machine with a friendly and personal touch.

As far as being in the ER goes, I had the best experience I could have at the time. After getting thoughtfully triaged by Geoff RN, the charge nurse Courtney got me back to a room right away which I appreciated. My primary nurse Kiersten was wonderfully kind and attentive. Dr. George saw me within just a few minutes and had my pain and discomfort under control not long afterwards. I appreciate all of the staff at St. Joe's North ER for quick and kind care!

The Nurses and Techs always checked if I needed anything before they move to next patients. All in all I was grateful experience. I appreciate all the Nurses and Techs and Doctors for the fantastic care I received.

October 27, 2022. Arrived for a procedure by Dr. Chin-Lu who is an excellent physician. We were greeted at the door by a friendly lady who directed us to the main desk. Two very nice ladies there & in admitting. Everyone was extremely nice. My nurses were friendly and attentive. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I was made to feel important and that my comfort was necessary.

Nothing like sitting in the Er for 3+ hours watching your hand swell up to 3x it's size. If you know your wait times are high you should say something instead of just letting people suffer. Took them over an hour just to take back one person, would hate to see what would happen if we had an out break in the area smh ..... Edit, wanna be seen fast; just lie ... Heart /chest pain sad thing to do but going 4+ hours now

I was admitted through the ER at St Joseph’s North...tested positive for COVID-19 and oxygen fell to 89%. From the first nurse through to each member of the care team throughout my five day stay, the care I received was wonderful. I was scared. I was sick. Every individual, including the cleaning staff, took outstanding care of me. Kudos to these professionals who put their lives on the line daily. I hope as an employer, BayCare takes care of these outstanding human beings!

ST Joes Er North are so nice. They treated me like I am a person and not a money sign like other hospitals. They even gave me a warm blanket. Nurses were so attentive and took me right in and the doctor saw me with in 30 min of being there. Had blood work done, CT scan and waiting on results within 1hr of being here. So fast an efficient and so personal the care 5stars well deserved. They treat me like family. That is rare.

Went to the emergency room at 7:30 a.m. was greeted by the metal detecting people. I would rate them as just adequate. They don't need the attitude they give the public. Once in the emergency room my care was second to none and the healthcare workers there cared about how you felt and listened to you even if you didn't make sense of them they made sense of it. The doctor that saw me knew exactly what she was talking about and treated me as if I was an important person. Is it the third or fourth time I was in the emergency room there and I don't want to go back but if I need to go back I know I will be treated very well. Thanks and send my thanks to the workers that worked on me

The attention to detail and care literally saved my life. I'm Writing this review from my hospital bed and the staff have been great from prompt entry to expedited care for the issue I came here for. The facility is comfortable and the hospital room is as great as I can ask for. This is specific hospital is best one to go to in the Tampa Bay Area. I would be choosing this for all of my medical needs. Huge thank you to everyone on the staff that has worked with me this admission. Thank the lord for people like them.

Everyone I came into contact with in the ER were extremely caring, helpful and made me as comfortable as I could be. This continued through being admitted to the third floor. The facility is very clean and comfortable and the nursing staff and doctors could not have been more attentive. Thank you.

Came to ER, was seen quickly. Was admitted later. I wasn't given a meal the entire time I was there from 5pm til 3pm the following day. I understand there were test to be done, but I was starving & my wife asked a few times about getting a meal. When I was released I really had no answers as to what was wrong & not much of an explanation about it. My discharge papers stated issues that wete not even discussed. My room was very nice & clean. Staff was friendly & nice!

I was treated with the utmost respect, from pre-op to recovery. The nurses and their support staff are excellent at what they do. Call lights were answered promptly, even during shift changes. Overall my experience was a pleasant one. If ever I do need surgery again, I will be sure the doctor is affiliated with Baycare! The entire staff is awesome!

I don't know of anything to improve the care I received from the infusion center. Ruby and the staff are wonderful and very caring professionals. The staff will answer any question in a manner that you can understand. The facility is perfect for privacy with room for a family member or caregiver to be with you. For having to go through treatment for a dreaded disease such as cancer, the infusion center makes the journey more tolerable.

The admissions staff were very kind and informative. They were very gracious every time I asked how much longer which I’m sure is annoying. My assigned nurse was just lovely and the ARNP was helpful and informative. The medical team truly seemed to enjoy their jobs and it showed. I was made comfortable and checked in routinely. When there was an emergency patient I was informed by my nurse that she would be occupied but I could always call for help and someone would see to me. I hate going to the hospital, however, St Joe’s north made me much less anxious about being there and made an unpleasant experience as pleasant as possible.

I was very pleased with my experience at St Josephs. From checking in to leaving. I was very impressed for their care for me. Two nurses Tina and Juli were the best! there was a male nurse who was from Haiti who I wanted to mention too. Sorry, I do not remember his name. Also, another nurse whose name I did not remember, she was the first contact for me, she was lovely! Kevin who did my IV's was exceptional! My anesthetist was very good, she made me feel at ease going under general anesthetic. Dr Makati is the BEST! I am not sure there was anywhere to improve Thank you! Beverley Stewart

Was in twice for sinus surgeries; I experienced excellent care! From the nurses, techs, and doctors. Everyone worked together, and truly did their best for me. This is also a very clean, beautiful and peaceful hospital for healing

This infusion team is absolutely amazing. This was my 1st treatment and needless to say I was very nervous. They all went above and beyond to make me comfortable and build my spirits. Kristin and Jacob popped in frequently to make sure I was good and that I did not need anything. And as strange as this sounds it was a very enjoyable experience.

I'm in my 40's and never had any surgical procedures. I had been wrestling with gallbladder sludge and stones for a number of years, trying prescription medication to dissolve them to avoid surgery but after several years, I had too much pain and went to the surgeon my GI recommended. A week prior to surgery, the hospital emailed me a "report card" that showed how well they were doing in terms of complications, reoccurrence rates, etc. The hospital had below average numbers on everything, meaning I could pick a random hospital and likely get better results. That got me looking around at alternative local hospitals and I found out that St Joseph's ranks in the top 100 of hospitals nationwide. I spoke with surgeon (Brett Armstrong) about my surgery, and he was a great doctor to deal with. He put most of my concerns at ease, didn't seem rushed, and spoke with a wealth of knowledge that didn't dismiss issues I brought up. The procedure went without any issues, and while I was afraid of the process, it ended up being just like in the movies - upscale hotel environment in the surgical wing, talk to the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and then magically waking up and it's already completed. Anyway, long story short, Brett Armstrong did a fantastic job removing my gallbladder and St Joseph's is a well rated, clean hospital, and I would recommend it to anyone.

From check-in to discharge, everyone was polite and friendly! There was no excessive waiting and spent some time to chat and make me feel at ease. Highly recommend St. Joseph's Hospital-North.

Took hours to be seen. Fine, I get I'm not special and wasn't the only one there. I was admitted and had an endoscopy done by a certain gastroenterologist who will remain unnamed and whom I had problems with at a previous visit due to overhearing him argue with another doctor over my care plan. They were never on the same page in the previous visit and always getting upset with me for just wanting clarification. This certain gastroenterologist also acted shocked that I could not afford insurance. On this most recent visit when I had the endoscopy done he seemed like he was going to be decent and professional to me. However I woke up from the procedure and was told he would not be talking to me about what they found leaving me completely in the dark. They transported me back to my room for observation where they proceeded to burn my veins up with potassium chloride, I hit the button and no one responded. After trying to wait may hands started locking up and my chest started to hurt badly so I pulled my own IV. I then asked to sign AMA and promptly left. 99% of the nurses are fantastic by the way and caring and professional. So are most of the doctors. I only ever had problems with this one person ever and I've been admitted there 3 times. I'm trying to move past this experience but am saddened by the treatment I received from this doctor every time I have had to interact with them. I repeat I never had any other problems with any other staff period. Just this one gastroenterologist. I in fact became quite friendly with most of the other staff and nurses liked me because I never hit my button twice an hour like other patients that don't understand how over worked most of your nurses are. I hope someone reads this and actually does something about it because I can not afford to go to another hospital and am worried I will receive inadequate care if I have to be seen by the same gastroenterologist again. Thank you for reading this.

Never have I seen such a heartless person in my life my sister just had a miscarriage and the administrative nurse souanne was extensively disrespectful rude and acted very unethical because I refused to leave my sisters side during this process. I am a student physician and if this was one of my nurses i would not tolerate this behavior and definitely not give any authority to a person like this. If you care about your loved ones please go somewhere else if you want them to be treated like a human being this hospital will definitely be hearing from my lawyer...

This is one of the best well run hospitals I’ve ever been to the staff their treat you like family. The doctors are very understanding they listen to everything the nursing staff is amazing from Dianne to Mohammed I personally had a fantastic even when the floor I was on was super busy they made sure that all my needs were taken care of and I have a very progressive disease that is annoying to me I can’t imagine how it would be for somebody else to try to help me with but somehow they do it and do it well I believe they’re part of the Baycare medical system and I am seriously considering switching my insurance all over to Baycare. A quick backstory was I was visiting Florida had a slight accident in Saint Joseph north was where I was taken and just so happens I moved in the area and it is not the closest hospital to me I pass actually to other hospitals to make sure I go to Saint Joe’s great Hospital great staff great doctors and I’m gonna say it like it is Great customer service I know they call us patients but we are customers and they deliver the goods flawlessly. Five Stars.

So long waiting in reception area to be attended. The physician in ER should be more calm and explain in details the patient problems. Very clean place!

Liked that they did the tests that were needed while we were waiting to be seen. Appreciated the fact they were trying to help speed up the process. It was busy and I understand having to wait but an almost 3 hour wait to spend 10 mins or less with the provider seems a little unacceptable. I got the good news it wasn't a blood clot but didn't really leave with an answer of what could be causing the pain/tenderness and swelling in my left leg; especially in that one area. Also she wanted me to get another ultrasound in 5-7 days but didn't give me an order to get that done. In the discharge paperwork it says to try to stay off my leg as much as I can but then no guidance on if I need to try and stay off it at work. Overall it wasn't a bad experience and the staff I interacted with was all pleasant and made the experience a good one. I also appreciate that they were busy and doing their best to get people treated and on their way

Came in ambulance they didn’t have any room ready when I arrived but that’s fine waited over an hour. The girl who was taking my name when I first arrived had an attitude. They first thought I had Covid and then they realized they had made a mistake. The ones who took my X-rays and Ultrasound were very nice. I asked one of the nurses if he can bring a wheelchair to go to the bathroom because I had a lot of pain to walk he sent over another nurse and she told me are you sure you can’t walk? but with an attitude! I was a little disappointed at some nurses attitudes especially when one isn’t feeling well. Hygiene was okay...one of the nurses gave me a pill to sallow and she didn’t even give me hand Sanitizer before she put the pills in my hands!!

Everyone in the ED here was so kind to my 5 year-old! Special thanks to his nurse Heather and Nurse Practitioner, Ms. Amy for their compassionate and enthusiastic care. The registration team member, Liz, was so sweet and funny, making the process easy and fast. We were in and out in under 1 hour. Additional thank you to the front desk staff who made my son feel better by giving him crayons and coloring sheets. Although my son is not eager to return to the hospital, he now says he won't be scared to go back if he gets hurt or sick again. Great service at SJH North, thank you!

Horrible ....Horrible ....Horrible . I am ashamed to call this is a Hospital. My Wife took my Son to this place on an emergency , they took my son to the ER. When they were taken into the room, the ARNP brushed off the emergency claiming that he will be fine and asked to apply warm cloth on the affected area(due to privacy reason not disclosing here). My poor son suffered the pain whole night . Next morning we ended up in another ER and had a surgical process to save my Son. Please stay away from this Place.......

Considering hospitals and emergency rooms are still operating in pandemic conditions, my experience overall could not have been better. While I waited for 3+ hours to be seen, the ER staff was considerate and did their best to answer questions and set expectations regarding where I was in the queue to be seen. I anticipated a long wait going in so I came prepared with a back up cell phone battery and entertainment on my phone. When I was brought back the ER physician was timely in making his rounds to my room, listening to my concerns and ordering diagnostic testing. I received the appropriate level of care and was provided an understandable explanation of findings and next steps upon discharge. I’ve always preferred St. Joseph’s hospitals for all my care - including the Women’s Hospital for my two deliveries - and was not let down with this visit.

I was admitted to St. Joseph’s North with Covid pneumonia. I cannot begin to tell you how sick I was but the staff went to work and send my every need I had nurses that would make me laugh, and aids that would sing to me. All staff was there for all my every wants and needs. When I was discharged I believe I was healthier than I’ve been for a very long time. I want to thank everyone at St. Joseph’s North. If the need for a Hospital ever arises again I will not hesitate to use St. Joseph’s North!

What an amazing hospital. We had our first born delivered here, and all of the nurses and doctors were very patient, kind, attentive, and informative as complications arose during labor and delivery. Then they were great with our newborn and making sure she was taken care of. Would definitely go back to this hospital for our next child to be born at.

Where do I begin with the accolades for this amazing hospital? My elderly Dad came by ambulance to the ER and was diagnosed with a life threatening illness. He was admitted and has been in the hospital for two weeks now. The doctors, nurses, techs, respiratory therapists and everyone else caring for him have all been stellar. Every single one has been compassionate while providing outstanding medical support. Our two hospitalists listened to my concerns, brought in specialists and did appropriate tests to make sure correct plan was put in place. The hospital is a very busy place with the Covid surge and despite this, they never appear rushed. I'm in awe of each of them especially the charge nurses on 4W who have gone above and beyond to help my father and our family. God bless each and every one of them for their dedication; our family is so thankful.

Took my daughter in for abdominal pains, the dr was very nice, understanding and informative, very specific on how she asked my teen questions that she would understand and be able to answer. The nurse was very nice and informative as well as the ultrasound and xray staff and transporters we had. Everyone there was very great and the facility was very clean.

I hate going to this Hospital. Only because both times I had been treated rudely . Both times a blonde nurse ? I believe one of them was Brooks.. not sure if I was treated by the same woman on both times. Anyhow it would be doing us a great favor to replace her.

I came in with what I thought was just gastritis (which I was also diagnosed with) but ended up finding out I had problems with my liver, pancreas and gall bladder. This came out of left field for me and had a ton of questions. The entire staff made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions I had - made me feel comfortable and gave me tips what I needed to do going forward to help me get back on the road to health. I will never go to another hospital! I will always make the extra long drive. 100% worth it!
