Absolutely terrible service. Kept the family in the dark about patient condition. Family members would call in and were told they can only speak to one family member, said that anyone can call in and ask for status so they don't provide it to everyone just one family members. So unless the one family member told the rest of the family only one person got information. Family members indicated the person on the phone claimed to be the floor nurse but could barely speak broken English. Unbelievable. They wouldn't even talk to a family member that had the most recent durable power of attorney. If this is any indication of the medical service they provide then I feel bad for other patients. The nurses manager is Mary Virabong. Watch out for that team.

I don't even know what to say. They do NOT treat Veterans with respect at all!!! No care given. I'm sure they treat the roaches in the hospital better than they treat patients. They will absolutely just allow you to die and deny treatment. Do not bother going here if you have a legitimate issue. Absolutely appalled.

My buddy wrote me, apropos of nothing in particular and added this observation "as an aside, if you ask doctors at bay pines "why you here?", a not infrequent response is, "they do a lot of research." the response i've also heard was "i had a private practice for 25 yrs, 15, years, (a cardiologist and ophthalmologist, others), the va is a better place to practice medicine" - focused on care, no insurance, and better people." I get treatment at another facility I'm as happy with as thought to share this third-party review for the good of the order.

My son, an Iraq war veteran, was treated by an amazing intelligent talented and professional team of doctors and nurses. From the crisis call line lady to the ER staff especially Mike RN to Nicole RN on the Flight Deck we wish to thank you for taking such great care of our beloved son and the dignity and respect and compassion you treat our veterans with. This hospital is a very sacred place and the staff realizes this. Thanks for being there.

My son has PTSD from two tours in Iraq. He cannot wear a mask due to the Asthma he got from the desert dust, etc. In other words he cannot breathe! So, we are in the 2nd year without Veterans healthcare. He has to โ€œfightโ€ to get his RXโ€™s filled. They want him to get blood work, but he canโ€™t -due to the mask mandate!!! Is he the only veteran that canโ€™t wear a mask???

My dad was admitted to the hospice unit in Dec 2018. Iโ€™ll never forget the level of respect, kindness and stellar care that he received from the nursing staff. I was welcomed, as his caregiver, with warm compassion. I will forever be grateful to them for the best care that my dad could get during his last days. Dr. Farulla is amazing. Everyone was just wonderful.

Best care in the World! or people who complain about having to wait 15 mins- they need to visit medical facilities outside of VA.
