WOW. Just Wow! But that's not enough. I felt like I was leaving the office with a different dog- a healthier, spunkier dog. And reasonably priced! Same day visit, exam, meds, etc for about $250! I'm dog-sitting and there is no greater fear when doing this than when the dog seems off. I just felt there was something wrong with Peaches and the owner's vet was out of the office. I called 2 other vets and they couldn't take her today. I called Curlew Animal Hospital and they said they had a full schedule, but then said they could squeeze her in at 2:45. What a relief. Turns out she had a fever, her tooth is decaying and possibly causing serious problems. The staff was amazing and caring and took time with me to explain things and called the owners who happened to be flying home tonight. Dr. Smith spent time with them on the phone and withe me in the examination room explaining in detail what was happening and treatment options. Ashley and Ola talked me through things and made it a pleasant visit. I'm so sorry I didn't get the other Tech's name-she was great, too. I have to say, I LOVE my vet. But if I get a new dog, I'm seriously considering going here. Great facility and staff and doctor!

Dr. Smith is wonderful, passionate about his work and beyond caring for his patients (and their owners). Years ago, when I brought home my first puppy, I become totally overwhelmed with all the things I was reading on the internet regarding feeding, vaccinations, etc. Dr. Smith actually took the time to explain to me the science behind what he recommends and was open to working with me in a way that would make me feel most comfortable. I've never experienced anyone in the medical field (human or animal) with so much understanding and compassion for my concerns. I used to take my cats to a cat only hospital, I've since moved them over to Dr. Smith too - highly recommend him and his staff.

So grateful he is our doctor and he is loved and appreciated by animals and their owners! There is no kinder and thorough one!

Dr Smith and his staff are kind, compassionate, and professional. Our first visit to the hospital was when our little dog fell very ill quickly. They gave her great care, explained everything related to her condition in detail, and provided options for the best care. If you love your pets as much as we do I highly recommend you bring them to Curlew Animal Hospital. They will treat your pets as if they are their own.

Dr. Smith and his staff take excellent care of our fur babies! Dr. Smith takes the time to communicate everything in detail and the staff are so friendly, organized and knowledgeable. We have been taking our fur babies here for years and will continue because they are the best, and most genuine, animal hospital.

An amazing team! Our Aurora (mini Aussie) has a lot of anxiety. That took care of her like no other vet has. I’m so happy I came here as a new patient. We’re here to stay! Special shoutout to Ashley who gave Aurora the princess treatment and helped to curb her behavior challenges. On day ONE no less!

I recently moved to the area and I was lucky to find Dr. Smith and his team at Curlew Animal Hospital! He offers practical, holistic alternatives to overpriced, over-hyped commercial pharmaceuticals. This guy is the real deal. Do your pet a favor and call Dr. Smith!

Outstanding, deeply knowledgeable and caring staff. I wouldn’t trust my dog’s care to anyone but Dr. Smith and his team.

This practice took my senior dog in for the first and last time after my vet had turned us away. Their compassion for animals and their owners is beyond stellar. Thank you so much, especially Ashley with all your help.

Avoid this place unless you want to spend mountains of money. Brought my cat and dog in a year ago and spent an astronomical amount on a basic visit. Then our cat was incredibly sick (no fault of curlew) but we spent thousands on exams and unfortunately got no where and our cat ended up passing away. Again no fault of curlew, HOWEVER the amount of money we spent to get no answers, then we when we refused to pay another 2-3000 on an ultrasound and hoped that the medication we already spent hundreds on we NEVER received a follow up from the doctor. Which considering he called me on Christmas Eve while I’m with family to talk to me for 45 minutes on why one of the many test didn’t work and my cat had no hope, BUT we could try more test for more money. It seemed every time we got a call it was to spend MORE money, and these weren’t cheap test. I’m talking 100s to 1000s of dollars. So the fact that there wasn’t even a follow up on the medication we were still using by the doctor was beyond me. Then a year later I get a follow up card in the mail on a checkup. Again, not curlews fault my cat died, not what this post is about. We are fortunate now, we have a healthy kitty in our lives but I will not be taking them in to pay 600 on a basic visit. The vet is a good vet, but only when there is A LOT of money being spent. For that I’ll go to another vet in the area. The vet I did bring my cat to after was amazing and even did follow up after my cat passed away. Cost me a fraction of the price and better care. AFTER RESPONSE: AGAIN this is not about the state of my cat. I knew he was a pretty sick kitty and NOT putting the blame on curlew. This is a review on the amount of money spent and the follow up. We came in very aware of our animals issues. I’m not sure why our dogs issues were brought up as this was not a part the review. We had our dog on medication from other vets that we said were not working. The response comes off as if we didn’t put care into our animals. Where was the need to add that? Not sure. Since that was in their response - the changing of diet and medication didn’t help his skin issues so we had to go to yet another vet. Only thing that somewhat helped was his medicated shampoo. Now back to my cat, Per my last conversation with Dr. Smith we were in fact quoted around 2000. Now, this may have been for ultrasound and a few more tests then. So we said we couldn’t afford spending more and would try to continue what they just prescribed. Back to the purpose of the review, after thousands spent at curlew we never once received a follow up on our animals. Not our dog or our cat, which as I stated we spent 1000s on. It is no fault of curlews of the state of my cat, we rescued him and he was sick from the beginning. Curlew was the 5th vet we went to in his 2 years of life. So this was not a cat that was not cared for. The response I received from this review was the tone I received from the doctor and staff majority of the time. The empathy lacks. As my review originally states: For the amount of money spent, no follow ups, and neither one of our animals issues resolved, I would recommend going elsewhere.

👍👍 Dr. Camp and his team always take such great care of our pets. Thanks for taking care of us so quickly and effortlessly. 😠 Dr. Lynch did a hack job on my poor dog's neck. The stitches are wide open and do not heal. This is all from a small cyst that popped. He's charged me $140 to come back to check the work that he messed up. And he's charging me extra for additional antibiotics that he messed up giving me in the first...

😠 DO THE RISKS truly outweigh THE BENEFITS OF ALLOWING PET OWNERS TO BE PRESENT DURING THEIR PETS' ANNUAL SHOTS OR EXAMINATIONS? Or is it more beneficial for the staff?
