Nicole and I are looking forward to trying ( new to us), local spots after visiting this area for over a decade now. Our first new restaurant is simply know as "Hobbs" to the locals...wonderful ambience and incredibly fresh seafood !! Our waiter, "Wayne from Southern Maine" (actuallyJamaica), was amazing !!

Came here on vacation to get some seafood and it was above and beyond!! Our waiter was very kind and attentive and got our appetizers & meals out quicker than I could’ve ever imagined! He switched us to a different server but it was very smooth and the new waitress was very friendly and attentive as well!! Food was very flavorful and fresh tasting. Portions were huge for the price which was very reasonable for the quality! I got lobster spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer and they were so generous with the lobster is just about filled me up! Would 10/10 recommend to anyone wanting a quick bite to eat , but still have a nice sit down experience, plus you get a nice water view!!

Arrived for diner. We were seated at a window that overlooked the harbor inlet. It was neat to watch the tide come in. Ordered Kolsh beer and swordfish special. The beer was good. The swordfish was a bit overcooked but had a good flavor. It was topped with crab bits that were very dry. The fish was placed on top of the mashed potatoes and green beans. This caused the potatoes to stick to the bottom of the fish. I would rather have had everything spaced apart. My friend ordered fried shrimp and sweet potato waffle fries. He said both were delicious. The waitress was very fast and friendly.

This was well worth the stop. Right on the water. Great views. Recommend the lobster artichoke dip to start. The whole belly clam roll didn't disappoint. Lobster salad was a winner. The blueberry hard lemonade was fabulous 👌.

My husband and I enjoyed a great dinner this evening. We had a short wait, about 10 minutes, but spent it out on the pier. Once seated, we had great service by Jinjer. We ordered a lobster, spinach, artichoke dip as an appetizer and will be dreaming about it long after our vacation ends! Our entrees were baked stuffed lobster and a single lobster, both very good as well. We had a chocolate lava cake to top off the night and it was absolutely wonderful, too. Overall we had a great time and fully recommend.

Shore Dinner was the best. Tasty chowder. Generous portion of steamers blueberry Crisp to complete a very satisfying meal. Harbor view is an added bonus. Saw a Bald Eagle fly by as a bonus!

I asked a local where to go to get seafood at a great price and I was directed to Lord's Harborside Restaurant. It was a good choice. The do very good business, as it stayed packed from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Large portions. deliciously prepared. They were kind enough to really cut open the lobster tails for my mother so she could eat them with ease. Nice gift shop inside.

First time here since it was Lord’s Harborside. Best dinner of our vacation. My wife said the steamers were the best she ever had. I tried them and not sure if they prepare them any different than anyone else but the we’re sweet and delicious. Our lobsters were hooked perfectly. I tried the seafood chowder just to try something different than clam chowder and it was excellent…loaded with fish, lobster, crab, clams and I think shrimp. Also loved the crab stuffed mushrooms. Service was excellent and although we had a 45 minute wait for our table, they have a nice waiting area outside overlooking the harbor.

Large restaurant right on the harbor. Food was fresh and plentiful. Cooked just right. Bread was warmed and light and served with a honey, orange butter that was terrific. We went just as it started getting busy and I think the waitress wasn't ready as our service was quick and impersonal. We will be back for the food!

I ordered the fried clam strips and it was amazing! They were giant and came with fries and cole slaw. I got the small instead of the large on the recommendation of the waitress and I’m glad I did because it was more than enough. The other 6 people I came with were very happy with their food as well, which included the bacon wrapped scallop, salads, lobster, salmon, fish and chips, and seafood sampler.

The staff here were lovely! When the gentleman hears we were on our honeymoon he made sure we had a beautiful view. Drinks and dinner were phenomenal. Our server was top notch!! Would highly recommend. It is worth any wait you may incur.

AMAZING experience!! We had never been before and so glad we went! Friendly, efficient service as soon as you walk in the door. Only had to wait about 10 min for a table although it was busy, and we ended up with a window table and enjoyed a beautiful view of the harbor. I had a seafood bake with lobster and sea scallops, topped with seasoned breadcrumbs. My husband had the Lazyman's lobster with stuffing. We couldn't have asked for more delicious food! I highly recommend Hobbs Harborside! Outstanding and we will definitely be back! 🙂👍

Meal was ok. Vegetables were overcooked, lobster cakes were overcooked. Baked potatoes were still a little hard. Not value for the prices. Plus staff using shields instead of masks and not warn properly. 6ft zone was not followed. I would go elsewhere

Hobbs Harborside Restaurant was quite a find! My husband and I tried to find places to eat thst are on the water; where else do you eat in Maine? I tried the lobster artichoke dip, assuming correctly that it was big enough for a meal. My husband had a fried haddock sandwich that was delicious! It was wonderful to look at the water while sampling excellent food! All COVID rules were followed, so we felt quite comfortable eating inside. Enjoy!

The food was the best ever for the price , but the servisit was horrible ,our firdt waiter never said hi came to our table once, and were overly polite to him. Went back a second night as myself and my wife wetr on vacation. And then 2tables were seated and sevved b4 us and we patiently waited 20 minn to get a drink, then our waitresse blamed it on covid-19 the delay in service and was rude when we told her how long we were waiting. Then we asked for another waitress.she was an older lady and was AWESOME. And she waz talkative ,friendly and sweet. We tipped her at 25%. It is a vetu nice place with great views and even better food ,the service was the only issue. It would of been a 5+ rating if the service was better from the get go. Craig king

We were real happy and have been with the Hobbs Harborhouse restaurant food. We were ecstatic with the new remodel. But we had dinner there on Sept. 17th and noticed that when people finished eating and paid, got up and left, you would think that the restaurant would make sure that every possible area around that table got wiped down. Table, chairs and windowsill. But no, much to our surprise with everything that is going on with covid and you know who, that people would take the time to protect themselves, their customers and the list goes on. Why then aren't these things being done there? I'll tell you why! Trump, money and they don't just care. We won't be back!!!!

Good vibe. Friendly staffs, my waiter is Mark, he works fast and responsive. Excellent, fresh food and the price is the most cheapo for lobsters platter I’ve ever had (compared to Boston, Cali and Virginia)!!! My order is Maine Shore Dinner with corn on the cob, french fries and a cup of (real) clam chowder and it goes really good with a glass of Atlantic Blubbery 🤤🤤🤤 Thank you for serving the quality food and services.

Beautiful view overlooking Wells Harbor. Good service from friendly and courteous staff. My bride had fish and chips. She felt that the fish was a bit dry. I had fried clam strips. I was happy with my meal. They have a nice selection of draft beer.

Came here today, the last day of the season. It will reopen the third week of March. I got a bowl of haddock chowder, a little watery, like skim milk. Wife got chicken breast sandwich, was good. Very pricey. Will try again in the spring.

Probably one of the best restaurants I've ever been to, great seafood. Not cheap but great value for your dollar. Had stuffed mushrooms and bacon wrapped scallop appetizers, both were perfect. Lobster mac and cheese and broiled scallop entrees were also amazing. 4 people, a handful of alcoholic drinks and many appetizers and entrees totalled $210. Very reasonable, excellent service out waitress was phenomenal. Highly recommend

A very traditional New England Seafood Restaurant with outstanding views of the Harbor in Wells. Expect sizable portions of traditional Maine seafood dishes. Offerings including chowder, fried clams, oysters, shrimp, haddock platters with 2 side orders you may select. If you don't care for fried seafood Hobb's offers a variety of broiled seafood dishes and of course you can choose steamed clams, mussels, lobsters and more. They have full bar service. I loved their rum punch after walking the beach end to end and back to my car on a splendid sunny week in April of 2023. The owner "Billy" formerly owned Billy's Chowder house on Mile Road. When Lord's Lobster House , which had served many fans for decades closed, Billy purchased it. After a complete renovation quite Hobb's Harborside opened. The renovation was quite well done My wife and I chose Hobbs Harborside for an early meal on our second night. We ate at two other restaurants during our stay. On our final day we agreed Hobb's would be perfect to return to for our last dinner during our getaway. Both times at Hobb's our meals were very satisfying and their rum punch was too good not to have on our second visit. The staff were friendly, service was prompt, seating is spacious. The restaurant is lively but not loud. Kid friendly, handicapped accessible, location is quintessential and there is plenty of parking. They do not take reservations but in April there was ample seating. Overall I recommend highly. I likely would rate all 5 stars but as a very good Maine seafood restaurant, don't expect gourmet or fancy. It is casual as it should be, so relax and enjoy the freshest, well prepared seafood offerings. I will be back...often. Thanks Billy and all your team.

This is our first time to Hobbs Harborside. We had delightful food and service. My wife had lobster salad which had two lobster tails (plus a bit more) on a bed of mixed greens. I had the lazy lobster with two sides. The lobster was fantastic and the side vegetables were crisp and hot. Our server, Elizabeth, was friendly, attentive, polite, and quick. We had a fantastic experience and will return soon!

We were looking for a nice waterfront restaurant to have lobster. We found the perfect place. I ordered the Lazy Lobster, ready to enjoy and so good. Tori was our extraordinary server and our dinner was perfect. Add in a perfect view. Try to get a window table.

Hobb’s is a must-visit. We stop every time they’re open and we’re going through the Wells area. The food is always fantastic (I often have the salmon because I’m a boring order-er) and the portions are huge. Last visit we had amazing lobster rolls. Do not miss out on their spiked blueberry lemonade (drink it out back overlooking the water!). Beyond the food, the service is always excellent. The waitstaff is knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt. Highly recommend.

We drove to Wells Maine just to see the beautiful beaches and ate at Hobbs Harborside Restaurant. The views out the windows were breath taking. The food was very good and the service was good. The owner Billy Hobbs was very friendly.

a true Maine treat! the view was beautiful, the food was ah-mazing, even the veggies that were my side were probably the best I've had at a restaurant up there. our server didn't wear mask, which was weird, but the rest of the employees did.

We dined here tonight for the first time. What a delight! Our waitress Jen was exceptional and truly made our dining experience special. She had many tables and somehow seemed to equally tend to all of us. The food was of a five star quality. The Baked Stuffed shrimp, Haddock and Ribs, and the Lobster and Steamers were all outstanding. Thank you so much. We will surely be back before we head home to Vermont. The Baringer Family

Me and my family decided to go after hearing about this place from a few others. We get there and we wait an hour which isn’t a big deal but the. We get seated and don’t see our waiter for almost 20 minutes. She never gave our table the mozzarella we ordered instead gave it to another table and didn’t even realize. The onion rings were raw and like rubber. Another thing was I got a steak and I know it’s a seafood place but I got a rare stale with a light sear on it and they told me that’s medium rare. Another person in my party got scallops and when I tried the. I agreed they tasted dirty and could feel grains of sand as you chewed the scallop o wouldn’t recommend to anyone and if anything go down the road to the steakhouse or another restaurant and save a lot of money on this restaurant which serves high prices for low quality food

Mediocre and expensive. The seafood stuffed lobster was a joke. Maybe 4 shrimp. Supposedly it was supposed to have shrimp scallops and crab. Mostly it was breadcrumbs. The baked Haddock was good though way too much breading. It came highly recommended but we were unimpressed

We stopped by for take out lunch for the second time in a month. The order went through quickly and food came out steaming hot. I got the seafood chowder with lobster pieces, scallops, clams and a perfectly seasoned milky broth. The haddock sandwich had a filet that was so large it hung out both sides of the toasted bun. Sierra was friendly and cheery and made sure we had everything that we had everything that we needed In the bag for our lunch.

Truly the best seafood experience you could have in the area. Fabulous dining room overlooking the harbor with an exceptional view from every table. I came here with my mother from New York for a quick weekend getaway and this dinner was the highlight of our trip. We asked to move tables to a window seat and the manager was very kind to help us out. Our Waiter was awesome as well. Very polite and professional guy with a confident personality. I'll absolutely be back.

Great service, nice outdoor seating under a big tent with heating in case of cold. The food was also great, everyone in my party of 8 enjoyed their dishes. Prices were on the high end, most of the dinner entrees were closer to 30 than 20. They do have a cheaper lunch menu. Would return in the future.
