This us a nice historical house, free entrance, pretty empty inside but still interesting to see.

Interesting house and an easy add-on if you are visiting Rutgers for something. The person at the house was very nice and earnest, but not the most knowledgeable guide I've ever had. Definitely take the brochure - it has lots of interesting details about the house and owners. Note: it is a lot easier to park near the football practice fields (Lot 48 - follow the signs) and walk to the house on an interpretative path than to follow Google Maps to the River Road entrance which is narrow, steep, and off a busy street. Much easier parking on the Rutgers side too. It is a pretty quick visit and free so 4 stars.

A fun museum to explore located right behind the Rutgers football stadium. There are fun historical artifacts and reads about the Cornelius family. There were 7 exhibition rooms: 3 on the first floor and 4 on the second floor. The architecture of the house was beautiful. There's a restroom and good AC to cool off especially on a hot summer day.

It was a cute place. Free admission but we expected slightly different exhibition inside. Building itself is very interesting from outside and inside. I was expecting to see the interior from Cornelius Low time but they have a collection of house items from 1950 years. Still worth to visit. Staff is friendly and helpful.

It was a surprisingly fun experience. The museum is small, but covered a lot of intriguing topics. The displays are also quite neat.

Beautifully restored historic building. Drove by 1000's of times and finally stopped in for a visit.

Beautiful colonial era stone building that currently serves as a museum with rotating exhibits. We've taken the family here for an exhibit on the history of diners, and an exhibit about World War One. Both were very well thought out, informative without suffering from information overload, and had a good flow. Be sure to enjoy the displays as well as the architecture of this building and the views from outside.

Nice mid day break with my Rutgers student son checking out New Brunswick's own Micah Williams portraiture collection from early 1800s. Sel taught. This couple sat for him in the 1830s and 20 or so later for a new medium...

Amazing slice of history with a super cool - and knowledgeable staff. Perfect quick stop off with plenty to see. A great vibe that should not be missed. Try the safe - see if you can figure it out! We loved it.

Great 1950s exhibit. My one-year-old even had fun looking at things and listening to me read him the signs. Small easily doable in less than an hour. But well laid out and just enough information on each item. We even went to a mock drive-in movie and watched 1950s television
