A group of us took our Show Cars to the South Amboy Cruise Day and we had Breakfast at Java Dave's. Great coffee and breakfast sandwiches.

This is a small little deli on Main Street - glad I found it! I always try to find local coffee shops no matter the area I’m in and this place was a sweet little gem! The coffee was excellent! I recommend stopping by if you’re in the area or close by.

Sometimes the best discoveries come by accident. I was in a rush, but wanted to get an iced coffee. It just came about that this place, Java Dave's just popped up in front of me. I went in, and was just simply impressed by it. I immediately liked it, and in addition to my coffee, wound up in addition, getting their signature breakfast sandwich, the Java Dave's, a great combination of pork roll, egg, cheese, and a full sized hash brown. The sandwich was quite substantial, and done well. With the great sandwich, the coffee became secondary. As far as atmosphere goes, I can truly say that this has all the ambience of a neighborhood breakfast joint. Everyone is in a relaxed mood, and the service greeted me like an old friend. Things like that are essential to a good time, and Java Dave's gave me just that.

Nothing fancy about the coffee shop, but it is clean and cozy with few tables and chairs and plenty of pastry options to choose from. I tried the tiramisu and it was good! They also make sandwiches, but I did not have one. Only stopped by for coffee/dessert. Iced coffee is excellent! not the watered down iced coffee from so many other places. Will be coming back as long as they remain clean and make good coffee.

I love this cozy spot in the main downtown of South Amboy. Their coffee and breakfast sandwiches are good, which is exactly what I needed. The Java Dave's special is my perfect order with pork roll (or bacon), egg and cheese with a hash brown. The girls working there are very sweet and attentive. Check it out if you're in the area.

Love this place. Most recent was a cold brew, was delicious. The owner was closing up, but couldn't have been more gracious. Outstanding variety of drinks - - that you can actually understand. The corporate coffee mills are fine, but happy to shop local.

Fresh coffee and most importantly it’s a really good roast. We need more coffee shops like this. NJ has too many Dunkin’s or Starbucks. Their sandwich menu is perfect. Overall it’s a great cafe to relax at.

Excellent little coffee shop with reasonable prices. Unlike Starbucks or other such coffee shops that use oil to flavor their coffees, this coffee is properly flavored while brewing. The staff is super friendly and the prices are very good. Again a large (yes large not Italian for 20) is about half the price and 3 times the quality and taste. I hope you tale the time to visit and help support the little guys.

We both had breakfast sandwiches and coffee. My wife and I were both pleasantly surprised by the food and the coffee. Although nothing was greatbreaking, they did a great job delivering a classic sandwich with a decent cup of coffee.

Stopped here tonight for the first time after visiting a local park. Cappuccinos were tasty and well priced for the size of the drink. Will be back if we're ever in the area again.

Hidden gem . If you want quality coffee this is your spot . They offer a creative menu with a number of items to choose from coffee , smoothies , breakfast to lunch . I initially went in only for coffee and began asking for suggestions . The gentleman at the counter was very friendly and happy to help . I went with a cold brew and was not disappointed. I am a coffee lover and their cold brew is exactly what you want a cold brew to taste like . I ordered a smoothie and a chicken salad , both delicious . Quality ingredients freshly made . Looking forward to my next visit .

Got a cold brew and a pork roll egg and cheese on a roll today. Cold brew was very good. Pork roll egg and cheese was stacked out on a really good roll. Prices were very fair. Will definitely be back.

Amazing local spot for coffee, teas, smoothies, and snacks right near the boardwalk!!

I have been coming here at least once a week for the past two months. It’s always a great experience and have to always get the Charlie Brown. It’s a cold drink and even during cold months it’s great. Regardless I recommend this coffee shop for good coffee and great service.

I usually get a cappuccino here, which is always great and so much better than that same old chain across the street. Owner is the nicest guy. Regular coffee is great too and I've gotten a sandwiches and deserts a few times which were also excellent.

Best coffee shop I've been too in Central NJ! I'd argue their coffee is even better than the popular Rook in NJ. They also have a variety of options for food & desserts that are tasty! To top it off the staff and owner are superb in customer service and friendliness! Highly recommend this place!

Got an iced cappuccino for $5 and it tasted like a cup of milk. Asked to get another shot added and they said no unless I pay another $1.25 Not a coffee shop if thats what youre serving

Hidden gem!! Nice little coffee shop tucked away on a beautiful main street. Coffee was unique and delicious. Friendly service! Even gave my youngest a bag of chips. Enjoying a coffee while walking the strip starts here.

Java Dave's is a lovely coffee nook in South Amboy. Always friendly and courteous staff prepare delicious coffee concoctions. Cozy sitting areas inside and out to take in the delicious beverages. Highly recommend.
