I didn't know what to expect at a ramen joint in a college town in New Brunswick, NJ. Typically, my experiences haven't been that good at an Asian anything near a college town outside of major cities. When my son told me that he decided to work here because of the food, I had to try it out (especially while he was working there). To my surprise, this place was comparable to any ramen joint in NYC, including St. Mark's area. Their takoyaki was crunch on the outside and had real plump chewy octopus inside with proper bonito flakes on top (better than most places in NYC). Kara age (fried chicken) was solid with delicious chili sauce. Edamame was little too salty for my taste, but was good nonetheless (my wife could not stop eating them). Ramens were solid. Tonkotsu ramen had more straight noodles than wavy ones, but that is what a proper tonkotsu ramen should have, but it was missing shredded red pickled gingers, but when I asked my son, I mean the wait staff, they brought it to me right away. With it, it was (almost) perfect. My wife's Osaka beef noodles reminded me of Taiwanese style beef noodles and Cantonese style beef noodles. If they served it with spicy chili oil, it would have been perfect. I am surprised that there is this type of quality ramen served in a college town of Rutgers New Brunswick. I wish that I had type of ramen joint when I went to college. Kids these days are so lucky...

Ordered a takeout and was pleasantly surprised by the speed and service. There also were some pleasant surprises like branded utensils, bowls with plastic inserts that hold noodles over the broth keeping it warm and dry. Great taste, awesome service. Thanks!

4 stars only because I'm super picky and I lived in Japan for 7 years so 5 stars from me would have to be 1am drunk food outside of Yamato station good. The noodles were definitely quality. They're slightly chewy, but with full body unlike the instant stuff. I ordered extra chashu and a second egg. The chashu is very well marinades, but sliced a little too thin. The soft boiled egg is PERFECT. It's similar to the ones I ordered at Central Tokyo ramen spots. The soup is rich and flavorful. My only issue is that it wasn't hot enough. It has to be a little too hot to drink when it first arrives. That's a sign of a quality bowl. I also ordered the passionfruit tea. Its THICK. For those of you that like sweet, this is it. The decor is similar to a ramen restaurant in Japan so it brings back many happy memories. Do I recommend this place? ABSOLUTELY YES!!!

Anything Ramen took me back to my old poor college days, I had to try this place!. Absolutely great fusion of combination dishes with Ramen noodles. I went with the Seafood combination soup. It was finely prepared dish, boasting with flavor. Prices were good and it was very clean with a quiet ambiance mid lighting.

This place as decently good ramens and ambience in the area. The server was somewhat helpful with customising order with veggie option, however not knowledgeable. This place has limited vegetarian options in their menu. We enjoyed our food and i loved their rose bubble tea. It was better than many other bubble teas i have tried. Overall, decent food, friendly service and good bubble tea!

Had a pretty good experience at Rakkii Ramen in Edison. Food was absolutely delicious and the art on the walls were gorgeous. One hundred percent recommend a stop here at this location. Cannot go wrong with the jasmine boba, the rakkii fries or the spicy miso or black garlic ramens. Now for my standard COVID comments as of March 2022. All employees are wearing masks and the indoor seating is relatively spaced out. Could end up being a little stuffy if crowded but I found it was comfortable on an average Friday evening for dinner.

Love this place. My go-to place for ramen! The restaurant is nice and clean. And the food is amazing! The plating is beautiful and so does the taste of food. The tonkotsu ramen is soooo good! And I’m also a big fan of their chewy noodle wrapped shrimp! Tempura, calamari and takoyaki are also great! If you want some great Japanese food, just go to Rakkii Ramen!

Satisfying ramen experience, authentic and genuine. As good as NYC right here in New Brunswick. The veg gyoza 🥟 was good, but a little crispy. But the veg ramen - was excellent🍜

Really great flavored Ramen soup for a good price. Restaurant is in downtown New Brunswick so parking may be difficult but if you're in the area definitely check it out. Ambiance is also a plus, this place has a nice chill vibe with very pleasant attentive staff.

I ordered the spicy tonkotsu bowl and chasu buns as a starter. It was all very delicious. The chasu buns were soft and savory with a little kick from the chilli. The spicy tonkotsu ramen bowl was very savory. The noodles were nice and Al dente, the eggs were soft and runny. The mushrooms and bamboo shoot were both very good and complimentary to the soup broth which had a adequate kick to it. Atmosphere was chill, not so loud music playing, the waitress wasn't in your face or asking how my meal was, it was peaceful and pleasant. It's also BYOB if you want but they do offer non alcoholic drinks and give you a cup and bottle of endless refill of water. Overall would recommend. Definitely will be returning.

They gave me 2 eggs I swear, I was just really hungry before taking this photo 😀 This is the best ramen you can get your hands on around here. I had the black garlic Tonkotsu ramen. The flavor was great and the portions are wonderful. The hospitality was also great. Will come back again!

Really spacious inside. Beautiful decor and murals on the walls. The ramen is delicious (albeit a bit expensive) as are the fries. My friend and I left feeling VERY full.

It was good but not a memorable experience. I had the spicy Tenkatsu Ramen and enjoyed it. Service and atmosphere were also average.

I come here pretty frequently, and it’s good ramen, and fantastic takoyaki 😋. Price is about expected for a ramen place.
