Highland Tower Motel

Motel

🫤 Always clean and I have stayed at least one visit for last six years. The price however does not fit the motel in it's area and it's amenities which consists of a Coke machine unless you enjoy a pool without a drop of water in it year round. The early 10:am check out is rather inconvenient for most... People often mention room, motel, stay, time,

Always clean and I have stayed at least one visit for last six years. The price however does not fit the motel in it's area and it's amenities which consists of a Coke machine unless you enjoy a pool without a drop of water in it year round. The early 10:am check out is rather inconvenient for most and would be helpful to be at 11: am earliest as is pretty standard anywhere else.

The rooms are old and run down. Lighting inside is poor. The bathroom is in bad condition, but at least the water pressure and temperature were good. Relatively new television, although the remote was temperamental. My biggest complaint is related to my experience trying to reserve a room. The person I spoke to first quoted me one price for a certain size room. He said he would call me back at 3 in the afternoon to get my payment information. When 3 came and passed without a call, I will reached out to them. This time I spoke to another person who informed me that no room was reserved under my name. He then gave me another price for the same room but for an extra $27 a night. After I complained, he called the first guy I spoke with, called me back, and said he would honor the first price I was given. I said, "great, I will see you in one hour." When I showed up, the gentleman told me he gave that room away and I would now have to pay for a larger size room, which cost an extra $14 a night. At this point, I needed a place to stay for the night, and said, "fine, whatever." The total, after taxes and fees and whatever else, supposed to be $212. The guy ended up charging $242. I don't know what kind of operation these guys are running here, but it's sketchy, to say the least.

I was required to put up a $25 cash security deposit but 30 minutes the next morning before time to check out the owner came around and collected my key. This naturally caused me to forget about the $25 cash deposit till I was already home.

It had everything I needed. Working microwave and fridge. And finally got the cable working. Comfortable bed. Quiet. No rowdy neighbors. (You get an actual key instead of a key card) Next time I'll ask to park under the shade. A good Samaritan returned my driver's license which I'd left at the front desk. That was a plus. Will definitely come back here again.

This is one of those you-get-what-you-pay-for kind of places. The office worker was nice, and I have no direct complaints from my one-night stay. But this is not a place to go if you're looking for quality comfort a/o amenities. The room was pretty worn out, and the sheets had some stains but it's a simple, cheap place to stay in a pinch.

The location of the place was good for my purposes. The rest all disadvantages. The room and the shower are tiny, but that was acceptable when you need this just to sleep. Room is dirty and smelly but not worst case. Grey sheets and pillow with a holes from cigarettes (as well as cover) we're not acceptable so I had to buy my own. Was staying there three weeks this year and last year. This time the rate increased to 360 a week but both times they did not return me a deposit $20 last year and $10 this this time. This time they denied receiving that from me. I have payed cash AND they REFUSED to give me any kind receipt for my the whole or any part of my staying (same was last year). I put one star for location since for my particular reasons it was convenient. Otherwise I would never stay there.

Easy to find, service was quick and friendly. The room was good for the price you pay, I was able to park next to my room and get a good nights sleep and that's what I needed. If you're looking for a cheap one night place to stay, this is the place.

Towels were dirty, broken stuff, stains everywhere, beds and pillows were uncomfortable. I slept on top of covers and wrapped my clothes around pillow so I didn't contract anything. Also didn't take off my shoes or take a shower there. Short story long, you get what you pay for 🤮

Almost $300 for two nights in a 1 star motel! I was ripped off, royally! Steer clear of this joint! Two nights only! That really cut into my Social Security Disability payment. I'm wondering if I can get home to Wisconsin now. David A. Sampson. No
