You will get goosebumps. Such a fantastic, solemn place of culture and human history. Without a doubt this shrine and the surrounding area is a must for any visit to Tucson. Finding parking can be a bit iffy but it's worth it.

Super cute little shrine! Easy to miss but it has some really interesting history. Would recommend it be included in any little walking tour, close to downtown. Right next to a nice little cafe.

I have been visiting EL Tiradito Shrine since the 80s it’s always been a very special and sacred space always and every time I visit. I have celebrated many peoples life’s there though out the past 40 years personally. Have left many notes in the walls, many candles, photos and prayers. It’s always been a very comfortable outdoor place I have years and years of memories there. It’s casual and sacred all at the same time

Spot full of history of Mexican traditions. This is near the oldest Barrio of the US! This was once Mexico's land, an amazing site. People put their wishes into the adobe and hope they come true. Spiritual/holy site that deserves much respect. Este lugar es un orgullo para mí.

This is an unassuming little shrine to everything you ever wanted to fix, but didn't know how. The walls of this place literally speak truth of people's deepest wishes and desires. Be respectful when you go there please.

Story line is novelaesque, read it then visit. Candles everywhere, it was worth seeing it along with Barrio Viejo.

Unique shrine of a historical event, commemorating a 'sinner' buried in un- hallowed ground. A reminder that, while we all are flawed, that needn't preclude us from celebrating and venerating our positive aspects. We are all-one!

Strange and interesting historical place. Lots of personal gestures and monuments to people that have passed recently. The paintings and the old well were unique. A quick stop here to take in some of Tucson history is well worth a visit while touring the city.

Small unique spiritual site with a shrine to pay respects to those who’ve passed tragically. This spot has some historical significance and an interesting story behind it.

Really glad we made the time to come here. Beautiful shrine and loved that the story of why it’s a landmark was available. Amazing energy and worth the visit. Go during the daytime would be my only suggestion.

If you have never been to Tucson you must come the history of the Hispanic Community is so amazing and beautiful and filled with God. But of course we are humans the wishing shrine El tirado is most definitely a place to visit along with so many others I've been in and out of Tucson my whole life I was a jet engine mechanic they were more or less my parts room. But in this business adventure I fell in love with such a beautiful community I always wondered why we don't fight to have a Hispanic president I mean I'm pretty sure they most definitely built at least half of America I travel far and wide when a jet engine breaks they can't bring it to you when you go into any community and you see a building being built go see who's building it come to Tucson experience the West experience the great food experience The Beautiful People and get a little Soulshine💛 I highly recommend Bobo's for breakfast You big cowboys can thank me later

I am not religious and don't pray and, hence, don't get the draw of coming here to a shrine to pay respects. But as a spot with some historical significance and an interesting story behind it, it garners a few stars.

The only Christian shrine that I know of dedicated to a couple of sinners. The story reminds me of Candyman.

Iconic and historic location/shrine just south of the Tucson Convention Center. Part of the Mexican cultural heritage of the area that includes Barrio El Hoyo and Barrio Libre (often called Barrio Viejo) by newcomers to the area.

Clean and well maintained despite the obvious vandalism. Why anyone would want to desecrate such a special place is totally beyond me.

This place is awesome and the story behind this place is enough to give you goose bumps (aka the heebee jeebeess) its about a young couple that were inlove but something very bad happened to them and the rumor is that if you make a wish and put it into this wishing wall lite a candle and leave the candel over night and come back the next day and the candle is still lit then your wish will come true but beware what you wish for because if you go and your not whole hearted about it then you may be visited by el tiradito pass his curse back on to you ANYWAY best of wishes ?

I love these shrines that grow put of the deep spirituality of regular folk. If you are looking for something to look at, don't go. But if you want to touch a little soul, you may appreciate this site.

the shrine dedicated to a sinner. 1870’s Young Juan Oliveras fell in love with his mother in law and was killed in a rage by her jealous husband. People believe hope & resilience can be found here by making written offerings, lighted candles, leaving prayers & well wishes in the hopes of freeing young Juan’s soul from purgatory. Def worth checking out when in Tucson.
