Therapist are unprofessional! Iā€™ve had two therapists here. One literally was offended because I stated I might need to see a psychiatrist. My second one did not want to work. Our hour appointments only took maybe 20 minutes. She would ask how I was, have a quick convo and the session was over. When I told her I want more out of our sessions she told me ā€œI donā€™t think this is going to workā€. I spoke with a supervisors who told me ā€œI donā€™t see the problemā€. Doctors rescheduling appointments without notice. Iā€™ve had three appointments scheduled before and my appointments were rescheduled out for a couple weeks and I was not notified. I explained I need my meds and canā€™t keep putting this off. I make another appointment for it to be rescheduled again. These people do not care about the seriousness of mental health and sobriety!

I am posting this review as a former employee. I want to share what happened to me as a warning to others. I was hired as a child care worker in October 2022. I was told over the phone and when I came in to fill out new employee paperwork that I would be making $20 an hour. For five months I made $20 an hour. Then after I was hired as a Learning to Breath instructor my pay was lowered by $4 an hour without any notice and with no communication from HR or my supervisor. It took me over three weeks for my supervisor to finally get back to me and let me know that there was an error in my pay and that is why my pay was lowered. Why it took them five months to figure this out is beyond me. Then after my pay was decreased without my knowledge, my supervisor and payroll started garnishing my wages without my knowledge or written consent which is against Utah Wage Laws. After all this I was pretty upset as an employee would be so I met with my supervisor, payroll, and HR to try to work out these problems so I didnā€™t have to file a formal complaint with the Utah Labor Commission. I had the meeting and was given a $100 bonus for all my hard work and thought all the issues were resolved. Well, the next day my supervisor, Debbie Barley, fired me from my new position as a Learning to Breathe instructor, but said I could still stay on as a child care worker. After a few months, I decided to quit as a child care worker and I no longer want anything to do with Davis Behavioral Health. I have never been treated so poorly by a company in over 30 years. I highly suggest not working for DBH.

The receptionists at Davis Behavioral Health are extremely hard to get ahold of. They promise a call back, but never follow through. I had to call DBH 4 times before I got to actually schedule an appointment. Then I go to my appointment and they turn me away because their power was out. (I wish they would have texted or called me on their cells to alert me to not drive the 20 mins there and back.) I was promised a call back the next day to reschedule.... that never happened. I then called again to reschedule after they didn't call me and they transferred me to a lady who didn't answer. I didn't want to leave a voicemail AGAIN. My family who referred me to DBH have also experienced poor customer service by the receptionists. Their receptionists are holding the company back. They should probably start fresh. I will take my needs somewhere else.

I was nervous to go to a gov funded mental health clinic, but I gave it a shot and Iā€™m so glad I did! Iā€™ve seen 2 different therapists here and theyā€™re both amazing. Theyā€™ve helped me understand a lot about myself and how my brain works. Theyā€™re very kind and compassionate. They know their stuff, too. Theyā€™ve been able to translate my thin explanations of things Iā€™ve experienced and identify the core causes. Definitely recommend. Wish I would have gone years ago.

After five years of struggling to get effective mental health care that really helps, our family is finally starting to heal and actually thrive. We found Davis Behavioral Health 4 months ago and what weā€™ve experienced is truly a miracle. Our therapist is Tyson and our psychiatrist is Charlotte. I canā€™t say enough good about both of them. They are both so caring and really LISTEN. But it is their actual skill with treatment and the exponential improvement Iā€™m seeing that gives us hope. I donā€™t know how we finally after so many years of floundering with other counselors and psychiatrists got lucky enough to find two such gifted professionals in the same practice but I am so grateful we did. The support staff is always friendly and kind as well. They are just the best. Iā€™m so very grateful.

(FORCED ME INTO WITHDRAWL) At first I thought this place was really professional and helpful. This past month has been extremely unprofessional and has worsened my mental health (quite ironic I know) Iā€™m prescribed suboxone and was referred to this place from my original doctor so started going here about three months ago. Every week I come in to ua and get my refill they tell me that I need to attend their weekly groups or do a therapy session to continue getting refills there. Iā€™ve told them every single time thatā€™s completely fine and that I would love to do the therapy sessions because I work full time and canā€™t make it to any of the groups. They said okay weā€™ll have someone call you to schedule an appointment. Iā€™ve never received a phone call the schedule a therapy session and now the most recent refill was four days ago and they only prescribed me one suboxone pill and have been declining me refills since, I am now going through withdrawals because they are on an ego trip and told me word for word ā€œthis is your fault, you couldā€™ve came to the group..) absolutely unprofessional and inhumane how they will force people into withdrawal and increase peoples risk to go out and relapse. Ps: the only reason I put a two star is because my physician craig Francis is actually a great physician and itā€™s a shame that the rest of the staff that is in control of refills has to give this place a bad name. I would not recommend this place to anybody unless youā€™re jobless and have every hour of every day to give to them.

*Negative experience* I do NOT recommend Davis Behavioral Health. I spent some time in the hospital due to a mental health crisis and when I left they referred me to DBH. I was informed I would be able to find a therapist and medication assistance from them as soon as I walked in the doors. I did not receive that help. I walked in and was questioned for an intake appointment and was never contacted after that. I tried to contact them and they never responded to me. I went in again on a day I was in danger. I sat and waited and finally met with crisis workers who didnā€™t help me at all or get me in connection with a therapist. Zero help. I tried going to their group therapy they offer and every lesson is the same. You go once and if you go again itā€™s the same lesson, intro to DBT. !!THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS or even being friendly. If you are needing help, this is not the place to go

Cold turkeyā€™d me off anti depressants and Ritalin. Because of my insurance changing to Salt Lake City. They have increased my depression and increased all the issues I originally had. All of my prescriptions were late already causing me more issues! Now everyday is a nightmare Thanks to DAVIS BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

Voluntarily entered back into Davis Behavioral Health 2 ensure a safe recovery from pain medications that I've been on for 3 years. After 21 years of sobriety. The people are personable and my thoughtful and guide me in directions to my brain can't decide on at this time from the confusion of medications. I'm in a one-on-one virtual Reading as well as a group meeting and most of the other people have very little sobriety. This reminds me where I could be in 20 minutes time. And refreshes the tools that I have to keep my sobriety, and my literal sanity. I appreciate what they can do for me.

Your actions were unprofessional and could have been hurtful to someone else. Let's talk about one of the WORST Psychiatrist's Jamie Mathews. I LOVE Davis Behavioral Health. I have the best therapist there. Down to earth and knowledgeable. I have had two of the worst mental health "professionals" in my life in Utah. I had an appointment to try and find out why I was having an elevated state of already crippling anxiety. I had suddenly been unable to enter the building where I work because of something minor that happened. Two weeks prior to this, I made a huge step in reducing my medications by trying to have a doctor safely take me off the fast-acting anxiety medication. That was two weeks prior to this, and I went from one twice a day to a half twice a day (starting from one three times a day for over five years). This doctor proceeded to tell me my anxiety that was crippling me, was withdrawal from two weeks earlier???? Confirmed with a Neurologist that the symptoms she noted as withdrawal were a progression of my health disabilities. I told Jamie this over and over. I was crying and I pleaded that my anxiety wasn't okay. She told me I had to "go through it". I finally got mad and told her she wasn't being very helpful, she put her face closer to the screen and started naming my medications. After each one she stated, "isn't working" and she didn't discuss medications with me until I nearly hung up on her. She simply kept telling me it was withdrawals, from two weeks earlier and half of a pill later. Like, this was bad enough for me to change, then she did this: I asked her for a doctor's note. She replied along the lines of she would if I tell her where I work and a name, so I replied with the first line stating my employer and supervisor's name. I also let her know that I was not going through withdrawals, and I had tried to tell her that it wasn't withdrawals. This "professional" simply replied with a copy of her previous message asking for the information on my employer. She copied and pasted me a reply to my experience. I am still waiting for a note that she spent the time to reply to twice, but she didn't have one second to note an apology for my experience. If she was the first Psychiatrist that had treated me, I would never have gone back for health care and that is scary. How many times has she made truly suffering people end their own suffering?? I am not kidding. It was that bad and this caregiver gave two craps about what I was actually going through. She treated me like a DRUG SEEKER!!!! I am an established patient and a mental health patient for sadly over 20 years. She was SO UNPROFESSIONAL DAVIS HEALTH WILL NOT GET ANY MORE OF MY INSURANCE MONEY!!! Good doctors are out there that deserve to have my trust and mental health in their pockets. I will finish this up by adding that she was trying to go out of town. I tried telling myself that the trip didn't affect my treatment, but I called on Monday and they got me in on Wednesday before she left over the weekend. I heard about this trip on my last appointment, so I know about it. That is great. Get away. You are a doctor treating me right now and it is disgusting how you just wanted me out of your hair. I am depressed with anxiety and panic, etc. I am not dumb. Then not even a simple sorry that I wasn't happy with the appointment. You literally IGNORED what I said at the appointment, and you IGNORED what I said in the email voicing my unhappiness. You did not even ask if I was doing better, when you replied about a doctor's note. Please do not trust this woman with your mental health medications. SHE DOESN'T CARE!!! I will be fine despite this "professional", but I have to tell someone what she did. I will tell an internet review that will go nowhere and everywhere, but one person might read and pick a better doctor. -WOW, just WOW!! Do not let her be your provider. She treats you with her emotions and not her knowledge as a doctor.

I've been coming to Davis behavioral for a while now and my experience has been awesome! My therapist is amazing and is always looking out for me so that I have the best team of people to help me with my needs. I also get my medications from them and haven't had a single issue! So grateful for them and all the help I've gotten for my mental health.

One of the Therapist Left a review at another business that is totally inaccurate and quiet frankly disrespectful, telling somebody how they should run their own business. If this place employs therapists that are that unprofessional, and disrespectful, I would steer clear of the type of treatment a place like this would provide.

Davis has had a few select counselors and group therapist that have helped me in my life and personal recovery. I used to be seen here for mental, physical and drug testing services and feel that I was given appropriate treatment and recommendations for my mental health and well-being. I used to attend group therapy and individual therapy here in 2020-21 timeframe and I have to say that I really liked the team and therapist as I felt as though my mental health was doing better at that time when compared to how I am doing now. I just got an appointment setup for intake for the 28th and I look forward to seeing therapist here versus seeing therapist in Weber at the Weber human services.. WHS is not a very good place for mental health so I hope that it ends up going better at the Davis behavioral health than it was going for me at Weber human services. My therapist at Weber human services doesn't act as though they actually care very much and I should've graduated group therapy at least a week or two ago and they're still insisting on the fact that I haven't fully completed all the group sessions just yet anyway I want a new fresh start with my mental health by way of Davis behavioral health instead of Weber human services. The only thing good at Weber is their pharmacy because they always have medication in stock and they're thorough and nice.

A therapist here, Cody Powell, came to our business & seemed very off and not well. Our business wasnā€™t a good fit for him, no problem, but went & left a bad review on my business because he didnā€™t like what I told him. I donā€™t think this is the type of personal I would want to help people who need it, not very understanding of other people. I know itā€™s outside your place but everyone need to know be careful about him he working for you guys Have more people saw him speak to me, others review coming soon Thank you for your replay

I loved the environment and all the employees! They always made me feel welcome and well cared for. I will forever recommend my psychiatrist, Bret Hefen, and my therapist, Andi Katherine. They both listened to me in-depth and made sure I got all the support I not only needed, but deserved. I know that you will also get the help you deserve and desire, and I know you will find it here

Avoid Davis Behavioral Health. Financial hardship application was not properly reviewed. Some policies are senseless and not properly disclosed to clients. Their billing staff is predatory and unprofessional, putting profit over care for society's most vulnerable. Filing internal grievance, then appeal, did not result in satisfactory resolution. Unacceptable and inhumane practices.

The counselors that work here are knowledgeable and professional and really care in helping the lives of those seeking help. I canā€™t say enough of my gratitude towards Julie and Shawnda on helping me recognize and understand my destructive behaviors. They have the schooling and education & experience that was required for me to learn how to better myself. I wish they taught these classes on cognitive distortion & morale therapy in junior high school. This should be available to everyone. It really holds the keys on saving and changing lives for those who are on a destructive path and those battling addictions. The entire staff are the best. Iā€™ll continue to go and learn and apply it to every aspect of my life, work, relationships, social & personal. Thank you D.B.H.!

Getting placement with DBH was easy and went without a hitch. Not having insurance or Medicaid to help and they accommodated me with a fitting payment plan. The one-on-one therapy with Andi has been amazing. They focus on your needs and allow you to express yourself in a way that heals you. Really enjoy this place. Court recommended and thinking of having it after my case is closed. Great place if you ask me.

Our family has benefited greatly from the service's that Davis Behavioral Health offers. My husband and I have taken parenting for children with ADHD & ODD. How to de-escalate situations that become aggressive. We have also been to the Therapists there for Mental & Addiction.

They take on far too many patients than they can handle. I had my first appointment with a psychiatrist and she said she would send in my medication. It has been two weeks and still never even a call back. All of their phone extensions go to the wrong people so it was very difficult trying to even leave a message for the correct person. God forbid it be a mental health emergency because they would not care or be there!! If I didnā€™t have on of my meds it would put me in the ER. So do what you will with that information, but definitely one of the most irritating business Iā€™ve ever had to deal with. Iā€™ve had better service at Dominos where teenagers work. Sorry excuse for a ā€œbehavioral healthā€ facility.

Working with Davis Behavioral Health has been an invaluable resource for me. Their inpatient and outpatient services have met all my needs and exceeded my expectations. My therapist, Jared has helped me with great coping skills and through some really tough times in general. My psychiatrist Michael has really helped me with my meds. I have been working with DBH for a few months now and I have found their services indispensable. Especially Jessica with the IPS Employment program. She has proven to be an indispensable and integral part of the process of finding employment. I couldn't do it without her support and expertise. She has also been great in supporting my life in general. I greatly appreciate her and the invaluable IPS Employment program. Thank you for all you do!

I have taken the Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course through Davis Behavioral Health, and I would recommend this to everyone. I learned so much, and had such a positive experience. The techniques I learned from the MBSR course are things I can use for the rest of my life. The staff is wonderful. I can't wait to take another mindfulness (MBSR) course from Davis Behavioral Health in the future. Thank you for offering such a wonderful program.

Had a consultation appointment. The counselor was quite rude and not empathetic at all. Said that he "could have me fixed up" in 4-5 sessions when I was looking for a long term counselor. So I cancelled my next appointment and didn't go back. Then got a bill for the session in which no therapy was actually given. Can't say I would recommend or go back. Seems like they help a lot of people and minorities though which is great.

DBH is awesome! All the staff is very friendly and helpful. Weā€™ve been taking our son here for a few years now and his psychiatrist Charlotte is just amazing, she has helped us with so many different things for him and for us as well. I love that fact that she cares for her patients and does her very best.

The chairs in the waiting room need to be updated badly. The front staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, the therapists or counselors are determined to help you through your struggles the best they know how. You have to be open and want to resolve these things, sometimes tough answers are necessary but if you are willing to accept their guidance you shouldnā€™t have any issues.
