I needed to pick up a copy of a magazine that was supposed to be available here. I was a bit intimidated by the LARGE selection of magazines. There are literally hundreds of titles and I couldn't find it. I asked someone behind the register to help me and she looked it and and confirmed that they had it in stock. She walked over to the newsstand and helped me find it. This place is great. In addition to the magazines, they have tons of books for adults, teens, and kids. They even have a music section of CDs and vinyl albums. If you want a gift, there are lots of choices from bookmarks to journals to pens. And they have a great cafe with yummy pastries, coffee, and other quick snacks to enjoy. You can even park your bike outside. This place is a wonderful place to find your next book.

Our son turned 18, so we took him on a little shopping spree and this store was on his list. He loves books, so what better place to shop at? As soon as we walked in the front doors, he was bouncing around the store like a pinball :) He ended up finding so many books he wanted and even unexpectedly stumbled upon a signed copy of a Michael Vey book! He was so excited! I thought it was so neat that they had those. Barnes & Noble isn’t just books. They had toys, legos, games, and even some apparel. If you get thirsty, they have a Starbucks inside to quench your thirst! If you ever need help locating an item, the employees are always happy to help. Just ask and they can usually find it for you or give you an idea on where to look. I’ve had nothing but great experiences here. We love Barnes & Noble!

Lots of books that peaked my interest, unfortunately I didn't have enough money to get them all. I loved that they had tarot cards as well but they won't let you look at more than two at a time. They also didn't have some I thought they would have and yet had weird ones I had never heard of or expected. The staff were nice but none seemed that eager to help us but probably were super busy. The store was steady with customers.

I love this place so much! I get stuck in here forever! I love their variety of advanced coloring books, different styles of terot card decks, assorted markers/pens/pencils, they even have origami paper packs! I love their positive meditation books and other books that follow in that category as well. The workers are always so helpful when in need of their assistance to!

If you like reading, collecting books, or enjoy games. This is the place to go! I always come a day with more than I planned, but the quality and the deals that are offered here are amazing. The staff is also super helpful and kind allowing me to find the books I need!

Perfect. So many books, all of the classics and a hefty sized collection of new releases and best sellers right up front. I absolutely love shopping here and getting trapped for a few hours. Wonderful escape.

My partner and i were checking out when our cashier (gm) started talking to a coworker about feeling fat and her stomach… this discussion made us incredibly uncomfortable seeing as this is a very sensitive subject for many, including us. There is a time and place for discussions like this and a professional setting in front of your customers is not one of them. All I ask is that you start thinking a little bit harder about how you want to act in the workplace, and to be a bit more professional. Thank you.

It's a Barnes and Noble so it's good, got a nice copy of 1984, the layout was a bit confusing at first, but I was able to find what I wanted

I came here for a very specific book. Their online inventory said they had one available. In my previous experience at other barns and nobles, their inventory is off and one means none. I decided to go anyway, low, and be held there it was. This store seems smaller compared to other B&N but I love it and it's packed to the brim with books. It's not sparse like so many others. I like the setup/layout too. It's cozy and reminds me of my earlier years at a flourishing B&N. One thing I do not understand, it's not just in this B&N but at many shops as well. The bells on the counter. I find it so rude to call for help by a bell. But, if that's the way here, I will try and adjust.

I always enjoy a trip to Barnes and Noble. They have a good selection of books. I am into reading C J Box series of Joe Picket the game warden. The reason for the four star rating is like other businesses there is a shortage of employees to help. It is unfortunate that it happens but it does make finding what I want more difficult. Still a great place for books.

Always love it here :) the smell of books, the people, the vibe! Even was able to find the baby books I was looking for including some that can go in the tub during bath time! If I need books this is one of my top places to search for them :)

The store is decently sized and the selection of books is pretty good as well. Lots of shelf space devoted to SJM, Sanderson, and Patterson, but some gems tucked in between. The café workers are always really nice, but it's like a fifty-fifty chance on our drink being right, depending on what it is. For some reason, only one or two of the baristas know how to make an iced tea lemonade. My spouse was a café manager at a Barnes and Noble, so he knows exactly how it should be made - not sure if there's a manager for the café in this location so maybe there is some reason for the lack of training/consistency. Even with the drink hiccups, most of the staff is friendly and helpful. I cannot remember their names, but one shorter dark haired girl is always really on top of things, and there's another older gent always working the registers who is really kind. The only time we had a negative bookseller experience was recently. It wasn't even negative, but supremely unhelpful. Dude was on his phone the whole time and for some reason, he was using Amazon to look up the book we were looking for instead of BookMaster. We asked if they'd be getting any in and he said he had no idea, which if he was using BookMaster, it would have told him. We both worked at Barnes and Noble as booksellers, so while the interaction wasn't mean or disrespectful, we were pretty blown away by the complete lack of baseline service. And like, that's coming from someone who has worked at the same company (different city). Like, I fully understand how soul-crushing retail and customer service is, I really do. And I don't believe anyone should be killing themselves for their job because it's just not that important. But, by the same token, I think some measure of being a little bit more helpful than us just looking it up ourselves on their website or something would be nice. Or bring back the kiosks, I dunno. Anyway, it's a big chain, it's not an amazing indie with a great selection, but it's also not Amazon with several unsafe labor conditions and practices.

I used to constantly go to Barnes and noble as a kid with my dad and spent hours just reading and finding books. I took my daughter today and we spent about two hours reading together before gathering up some books to buy and head out. It’s nice and relaxing and honestly I think I should do it more! The staff was super helpful when we were trying to find certain books that I just for the life of me couldn’t find myself. The kid section is fantastic for the kiddos mine loved it in there.

I meant to say this a couple days ago, I went in to buy books and since I was dehydrated I got a black tea with Raspberry and it was really good thanks for making me the tea!

Price is just a dollar or two more than Amazon, but you can see the content of the books without the hassle returning.

Great experince with the barista & delicious coffee. At the cashier's desk they have -$1 off coffee coupon so I can use that next time or you can grab one before you get the coffee. I got a canning book which took a second to find, but the cashier was extremely helpful & pleasant.

This will sound a little petty, but bear with me. The Layton location is normally a favorite spot for us when we go book shopping, but our last visit was disappointing. Something in this store is BEEPING. The employees told us it's been constant for weeks, some device behind the counter is just sounding an alarm of some kind and nobody knows how to turn it off. You can hear it through the entire store and it's maddening, and this is a BOOK STORE. Lattes and apple fritter thingie from the Starbucks were delicious. Selection and NCO of the store were also excellent, as always. I hope to revise this review once the beeping is fixed.

This location is always very clean and well organized. Staff are polite, professional, and quick to help you find what you may be looking for. The floor plan is open enough that I don't feel claustrophobic when browsing for what I need if I have to stop in during busier times of the day. Their deals and sales are well marked along with additional bonus pieces of information about specific books or sections that are hand written and can make you forget you are in a large chain bookstore. This location is a favorite of mine to go to.

I went looking for a specific book. I couldn't find it so I found an employee to help me. I wish I could remember her name but I can't. She was very helpful, friendly and knew what she was doing. Thank you for a good experience!

The book sellers are very kind. They all are knowledgeable about different genres and are helpful when searching for a particular title. It's calming when you walk in.

Friendly staff, sooo long since I've been in a book store. I usually just get e-books. Kind of forgot the joy of browsing book stores. They have so many cool things besides books. Struck up conversations with a few guys in the fantasy/scyfy section to get a recommendation for books for my brother. Thanks to both of the guys that took time to talk to me. Especially the 2nd one. Very helpful. No waiting at check out😃💕 Clean, organized, lots of things out special for Easter 🐣 So, if you're still looking, check them out😉

A bit intimidating how many books they have, but that is never an issue! The customer service is great, as they have been each time I've been there the last two years. All I'd say is if you go there to get a book, make sure you know exactly what you want or you may spend quite a long time trying to decide which book you'll take home.

Love this place. The last couple times I have been there the staff said they had a book. I would get there and the employee would walk me to where the book should be and it is not there. Other than that. This place is fantastic on books and relaxing and looking at books or magazines
