Mount Rubidoux Park has a great beginner level hike for all to enjoy. We parked at Ryan Bonaminio Park and climbed the hill to the start of the trail. The trail is paved, and great for kids. A stroller could also be used, though pushing it up the hill is some spots could be a workout. The weather was cool when we went, but I imagine it would be hot in the summertime, and there is very little shade. The hike didn’t take us very long, maybe an hour and a half to two hours tops, and that’s with little kids, and taking it very easy. There are good views of the surrounding landscape, as the trail wraps around all sides. This activity was a great choice to get the kids out of the house for a short time, and not too intense. There were quite a few people there, some choosing to run the hill as a workout, which would be a good one if you lived nearby. Again, good option that doesn’t require a big-time commitment or a lot of physical ability. Get in a workout, or just get some fresh air, either way it was fun for me and the family.

This is a great family friendly park in urban Southern California. The trail head begins in Riverside. The views are fantastic. You will find families and people walking dogs on the trail. It’s a great fitness destination with the climb up to the top. The trails are all gradual slopes. Once you’ve been here, you’ll want to come again with your family and friends.

This place is so beautiful, clean well maintained, safe, lot of parking space. Fresh air, the actual hike isn't that bad 2 to 3 mile upwards, better not carry anything heavy just a bottle of water is good, takes about 2 hours depending on your level of fitness also your company, kid friendly good trail track, stroller friendly, bicycle friendly, all in all good hike for family outing and also with friends or just solo by yourself. Safest and easiest good cardio workout trail. We gona go more often here. Definately recommend.

We park our cars at Ryan Bonaminio Park and start walking and hiking to Mt. Rubidoux. The view is fantastic as you walk and hike. You get to experience a paranomic view as you continue the hike. There is no shade, so be prepared if you are sensitive to the Sun. There is a water fountain (dog friendly) and a picnic table + bench at the gates. It does gets crowded on the weekends, many people walk, run, bike and hike.

It's an easy hike and the view's totally worth it. I suggest start hiking before sunset to enjoy day, sunset and night scenes

Super nice and easy paved trail with view of big rocks, architecture and the city view. Really a nice walk! Even though it’s cloudy on Saturday but it’s still so crowded. Definitely worth a visit!!

The park is wonderful on my March walk there. Not hot, but pretty sunny. Great view of the valley. Probably dry and hot during the summer.

This is a beautiful trail walk. It offers a shorter, steeper path and a longer, milder incline. Both are paved and easy-going. I went up the shorter route and came down the longer one so I could go around the entire mountain. It was my first time here, so I plugged the destination into maps. It took me to the wrong location the first time, then to the trailhead the second time, around which there is zero parking. Parking is at Ryan Bonaminio Park, which is approximately 1/4 mile walk from the trailhead.

Always a great walk. Some parts can get a little steep but it’s all mostly paved and people bring strollers and dogs on leashes up all the time. Easier routes that are longer are available on one side while a steeper short route is offered too.

Mount Rubidoux Park is a great place to go for a hike with the family. The trail is paved and easy to follow, and it's only about two miles long, so it's perfect for kids. The views from the top are amazing. You can see the entire city of Riverside, as well as the airport and the mountains in the distance. There is also a peace tower at the top of the hill that you can climb up for even more amazing views. We went to this park on last Saturday morning. My 4 years old boy had no problem keeping up and he even enjoyed it.

A great time is always had at Mt. Rubidoux. Go with family, or friends and chat all the way up, and down the mountain; or take a solo trip and enjoy the beautiful views of Riverside, from every side of the mountain. The natural landscape, and small animals are also great to observe. It's very peaceful, and the other people are usually very kind. It's about three miles on a paved pathway. Go to the left, and take a steeper climb, for to the right for an easy ascension. Neither path is difficult. There are also unpaved dirt paths - take those at your own risk. My advice is to park at Bonaminio Park, wear sunscreen, bring water, and enjoy. It's a great workout, fast or slow.

The walk is fantastic, and if you feel tired, there are benches to sit and rest. The top shows some beautiful views. Lots of people walk and some jog. Always bring water and wear good tennis shoes.

Great trails for all levels (beginners-advanced) that include dirt paths, not limited to pavement. Parked near the Ryan Bonaminio Park and started walking towards the trail entrance from there, just followed the crowd of people walking up towards the mountain, wouldn't miss it.

Awesome park to hike. It’s easy to hike up to top. Even can push a stroller all the way top. Saw many cute lizards. The view on top is magnificent!

Nice place to go for a walk. Anyone can enjoy this trail. Even your 4 legged friends. It is paved all the way to the top and you will have views of the cities around the park. It is sad to see graffiti on the rocks, thank you to the people that maintain the park and try to keep it beautiful for everyone.

Great hiking with trails for all levels of fitness. Plenty of places to rest along the beginner trails as well. Pet friendly 🐢 Be sure to start early and bring water. These trails have great views of Riverside and beyond, but the shade is in short supply. So, be sure to wear sun protection as well πŸ‘πŸŒžβ˜€
