Decathlon is the best all around sports shops especially the one at Stockport (been to others and they don't have same range) from horse riding to mountain climbing they have it in stock. Changing rooms as well and They use RFID labels on everything. (Radio Frequency Identification) in simple terms when you go to the checkouts it knows what you have ans self serve could not be easier. For the shop it's easier to maintain stock accuracy. Good for winter outdoor clothing ,skiing and now has a wider range of yoga clothing for men.

We went into the store in April for trainers and ended up walking out of the store with two folding bikes and other accessories spending over £500. Although we really like the bikes I was having some issues with mine, so in beginning June I took mine in to be looked at. The guy at the repair shop was really rude, when my husband pointed out we were the customer he said he didn't care who we were. I had a fall as I didn't see the bike stand on the floor at the counter and fell over it really hurting myself. The guy at the counter showed absolutely no concern, nobody offered to help me up off the floor. I was crying and in absolute agony with my wrist and knees my husband helped me up and I could see other staff looking but nobody showed any concern. We went to the toilets and I stopped outside crying. Again staff walked passed to go into the back but nobody asked if I was OK. I came out in lots of bruises to my knees and still in pain even though it happened 2 weeks ago. I can't put any pressure on my left knee. I had to go back to collect my bike about 4 days after the accident, I showed my injuries to the manager. I have had no apology for the rude service from the guy who served us , nobody was in touch to see if I was OK. I feel like they were happy to take our money but the after care just isn't there. Although the manager said the service we received and the accident I had was going to be looked into, I can't help feeling like it's been brushed under the carpet.

I come to decathlon regularly and usually have no issues, untill recently, I have had to return a couple of items that were faulty (clothing) and on another occasion attempted to get help for the inflatable bed sizing as the labels didn't match the product, after seeking help from a customer advisor I was still left with the wrong size and had to return again to change it. Other than this, decathlon has a really good selection of clothing and sports/camping equipment etc it's a one stop shop just make sure you double check item before you buy 😊

Great place, but I've mainly used it for camping gear! This view taken from about 35,000 ft on the decent into Manchester Airport.

My favourite sporting goods store! Decathlon Stockport has a great selection of running gear and if running into your thing, the chances are they’ve got the sport you’re into. There is plenty of parking and the staff a friendly and knowledgable. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the pricing too.

The kit great. The prices are great. The staff are very helpful and engaging. I'm a returning customer however I tend to avoid weekend afternoons. It can get a little chaotic.

What a shop this is. Ut has everything for outdoor pursuits. I've not met a member of staff yet that isn't happy to help. Brilliant.

The store itself is fine, but their online system is a joke. They obviously don't hold stock centrally and rely on the manufacturer/other stockists to fulfill your order. That means a single order will have multiple deliveries and with it, multiple delivery charges. I am still waiting for my 3 deliveries ordered over a week ago (on a single order). 😡

As usual good stock. You can check and trail everything. Staff behaviour was good. They have good amout of stock. But the clearance stock are very limited. They also have big parking area.

I shopped for a bit of kit to add to my fishing tackle. I couldn’t locate the bit I needed. This young lady was stocking shelves nearby. I asked her help and she as only too happy to help. This area was not part of her responsibility and she couldn’t find what I was after. She phoned up the lad from the area we were in and he knew that there were not in stock. One was ordered to be picked up later. An e-mail today informed me that the bit of equipment had arrived. I went down to the store and picked it up. No waiting no difficulties altogether a good shopping experience from start to finish. I would like commend the two assistants who helped me initially, very pleasant and informative. Give them a thank you from me.

Great superstore with loads of choice on sports and outdoor goods. It does get busy on a weekend so maybe consider coming on a week day. The staff are super friendly and helpful. No matter what sport you enjoy, they have you covered! I’m only giving a 4 star rating because although it was busy, there were clothes thrown on the floor and hung in the wrong places from people. The changing rooms were rammed with clothes people had left and staff were walking past these and not tidying them up. It looked messy.

Not for the first time I’ve arrived at the till to find what I intended to purchase was not the price shown above the item on the rack. They put more expensive items on the hangers but leave cheaper prices above them. I’ve had it happen a few times so worth while checking before buying. The price labelling is chaotic!

Faceless and bland. Hi-Tec boring shop selling massively overpriced, unnecessary sport stock to upper class people with money to waste on stuff they don't need and will never use. People who shop here either own race horses, buy memberships to corporate gyms or both.

Very big. Great place to take the kids for an hour or two. Lots of things you don't find in other outdoors shops, you'll probably end up buying something you don't need. Mostly own brand stuff so a little limited in what you can buy.

We would like to thank Kim for her advice and being so helpful. Her knowledge was wonderful and lead to us purchasing with full confidence of knowing we will be successful using our full face snorkel maskes

I recently purchased a new bike for my youngest child from another company. My current bike needed repair so I contacted the company who advised me to bring the bike to the store that day. On arrival, they advised me, I wasn't able to leave the bike and would have to book it in for another day. I wasn’t happy and decided to try Decathlon. Ed in the workshop was very helpful. On arrival, he noticed a few faults with the bike and book me in straight away. He deserves to be recognised for all his hard work and outstanding customer service. After the service I received, I decided to cancel the new bike with the other suppliers and I’m in the process of purchasing two new bikes from Decathlon instead. 😊

More or less everything for sport, but don't expect specialist advice! Sizing seems to be based on thin, long-legged Asian people (where most of the stuff appears to be made). Prices are ok, but expect to change sizes of clothes. Very little stock on small adult sizes.

Paul was really helpful. Assisting me with my purchase of a massively heavy large kick bag. Helping me carry it and load onto my car. Really professionally.

I was looking for a specific pair of walking boots, but couldn't find them. Anna came to help me, and couldn't do enough to help. Eventually, she even found the exact pair I was looking for - a considerable achievement! Thank you Anna.

Helpful staff, good attitude. Very low on stock of snorkel fins which I find surprising as people go on winter holidays and snorkel. Was told stock was low due to it being a summer product ???????

Absolutely brilliant I wanted a full walking set for my daughter, Amashi who works there was brilliant with my daughter and helped pick the full set. We were able to ride the scooters in store which helped her decide which one she wants for her birthday.

I just wonder if anyone else has been baffled by unhelpful staff at Decathlon? I'm used to stock shortage but just been in store to try & buy some walking shoes. Found a suitable shoe but not the size to try. Asked for assistance & with me a supervisor confirmed no shoe on rack for size I wanted but got called away but said another assistant would help! Thought brilliant but after being informed no size on rack insisted on going through them all again, and clearly had no intention of checking stock & tried to get me to look at other shoes instead?? I do wonder how they sell anything oh and try sending them an email!

The staffs are very nice and kind, very helpful and patient. The place is really big and contains lots of products, including many different types of stuff. It will be a perfect place to find different sport equipments.

Had a brilliant experience at Decathlon Stockport today with Lucy, who was incredibly helpful, calm and provided good advice on ski wear. I was panic buying 12 hours before a 6am flight! Lucy helped me and stayed with me until I had found everything I needed. Great job Lucy! Thank you 🙏

Great experience today at Decathlon Stockport. The staff in the ski workshop were professional, friendly and went out of their way to ensure that our skis were serviced and bindings were adjusted to fit new ski boots. Definitely recommend coming to Decathlon. Thank you, especially to Sam.
