I’m not from round Richmond but had a dinner reservation across the road, popped in as we heard a live singer on guitar (James Deane) on a Sunday night for a quick drink. Was a really lovely atmosphere, wish we could have stayed longer.

Arrived late on a Saturday after a picnic on Richmond Green and drinks at a bar on the river. People wanted to go there bc of good live music. True to word a 4 piece band and singers where belting well known/ loved tunes from the 60s, 70s and 80s. The mainly 45 plus crowd who were singing along and dancing there hearts out. Bar service fast and friendly. Friendly talking people, likely a great place to make new friends and perhaps even rarer, to meet a significant other if your over 45. I'll be back. What's not to love. I highly recommend!

Super friendly pub which seems to be popular amongst the local community. They have concerts and the place is buzzing on weekends. Welcoming staff, good food, good beers and drinks. Off the beaten track but close to everything in Richmond, the Red Cow is definitely worth a visit (or more…) 👌

Such a friendly place with a good atmosphere. The pub has character and the staff are so helpful. I was only there lunchtime, but as a female, I would be quite happy to go there on my own.

Wonderful little pub and hotel. Excellent value and the rooms are well kitted out, even more so than some larger chain hotels at double the price. My only advice would be to keep the windows shut if you're a light sleeper as the traffic is pretty loud, although it didn't bother me

Visited for lunch with friends. Great food and the cook that day went all out to please. Authentic Khmer food was served. Service from behind the bar was comfortingly attentive too.

Friendly pub, good choice of beer and helpful welcoming staff. But the food ... Crispy duck spring rolls were suitable for vegans . In 4 rolls not a shrewd of duck was found. Thai green curry arrived a murky brown as if the scrapings from the red and massaman curry pan had been added to a spoon of green curry. No aubergine no kafir lime leaves and way too much sugar. Chicken pad Thai looked and tasted as if it had been prepared the previous day and then micro waved. A great pub but a take away from Waitrose would have been better

A excellent public house. Great location & food & beer. Nice to see a community quiz going on in the main pub itself. There should be more pubs like this . Highly recommended 👌

Lovely atmosphere, delicious food and great customer service Only critique ~ limes should be cut in half before being served 😉

British pub with Thai/ Cambodia cuisine . One of the busiest bar in the neighborhood with live sports streaming and weekend live music . Drinks are served like flash but to get a table and enjoy your food , please do plan . Most of the time the tables are pre booked and it’s hard to find an ideal spot and enjoy the moment. Male staff looks grumpy but they are really kind . Hospitality must be highlighted , during the busy hours they make sure all the orders and food served on time with no delay . Food taste is average . We have tried multiple dishes during past few visits . Starters are value for money 💰.

I can only thank Stephen for organising a do for my family at the Red Cow . Nothing was too much trouble . Food and fizz were great and last minute alterations were no problem to him and his staff . Can only thank him for his kindness and service on the day .

Popped back to our local to try the new Thai menu on Saturday. Food was incredible! Came very quickly, was fresh, tasty and hot. Glad they’ve changed to this menu!

Lovely people, lovely place. So friendly. Rooms and beds great. Breakfast is complimentary in room with half a pint of milk. Very good price for position close to Richmond Station and town and also The Thames for strolling or visiting as we did Ham House National Trust place.

The food menu is new. The order was from the lunch menu. Soup (Tom yum with chicken) was a separate item from the rice dish. Soup take fine, strong enough flavour and plenty of meat inside 👍. The rice dish is from the lunch menu. A fried egg and spring roll were inclusive but these two items were absent and had to be reordered twice one after the other. The quality is fine. Just make sure the kitchen staffs served you the items fully.

My stay at the Red Cow was nothing short of wonderful, largely in part due to the wonderful support of the staff working there. From the moment I arrived, they were helpful in getting me settled, providing great guidance on places to eat and visit, and even coordinated another room for an unexpected extension to my stay there without hesitation. The rooms were cozy and clean, with all the amenities needed for a nice pop in when not out exploring. Add to that the glorious smells of delicious food wafting from nearby Alberts Deli, the great selection of beers on tap, and a scenic township to explore - I will absolutely be using Richmond as a lodging point for future trips to London, and you can be sure that the Red Cow will be where I stay.

Absolutely lovely pub to stay in with fantastic staff and rooms. The only reason I didn’t score this a 5 was for the noise in the street in the morning. 6.30 a big and noisy delivery But for the price we paid it’s OUTSTANDING value and I would book again in a heartbeat if staying in Richmond area

Love this pub. Atmosphere is fab. People are friendly and relaxed. You can bring your own food and eat indoors or outdoors. Very busy and has a live band. Only disadvantage is, the place is small!! So be aware if you are claustrophobic and don't mind being in someone's personal space because this place gets heaving!!

Good place, an old fashioned pub feel to it. Went on a Friday evening. No food and a rowdy but good natured atmosphere while the football was on. Guinness was good. Staff were friendly. Will go again on a Saturday to check out the live music.

First time at the Red Cow, went solely for the live band playing from 9pm. So pleased we did, what a band & pub is great too, with a fantastic vibe. Lovely little seating area outside. So......one week later, went on a Saturday afternoon.... different story....3 old red faced men sitting around the bar, no vibe, no atmosphere, just a dive for drunks. Without the live band on a Saturday night & Sunday afternoon this pub would close down.

Came here on a Sunday and what a vibe! Brilliant live music and great atmosphere. Wonderful pub, that feels like a country side pub in the middle of London.

I am writing to share a recent experience at the Red Cow Pub that has left me feeling quite disappointed. As someone who has always been a fan of your establishment, particularly for its fantastic Thai food, an incident last Friday night has compelled me to reconsider my usual positive perception. While enjoying our dinner with my husband, our experience was disrupted by a blond lady sitting on the next table openly vaping. When my husband asked not to vape inside the pub, her response was a nonchalant "ok, ok," devoid of any apology or acknowledgment. What troubled me beyond the act itself was the apparent lack of respect for the established rules and, more importantly, for the other customers. The situation took an unpleasant turn when she continued vaping, went to the bar and engaging a conversation with the waitress, who appeared to be her friend, and laughing without regard for the discomfort she was causing to those around her. After some time she decided to step outside, like everyone else, to vape. This experience left me disheartened, not only due to the violation of the no-smoking rule but also because of the lack of consideration and the sense that she believed she had the right to do as she pleased within the confines of the pub. I bring this matter to your attention not to complain but in the hope that steps will be taken to address such situations promptly. I believe in the welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere that Red Cow Pub has consistently provided, and incidents like these detract from the positive experiences I have come to associate with your establishment.
