Went to this place on a Sunday, they have a 3-course menu for £26 which includes a starter, main and dessert which offers decent value in central London. The Korean chicken wings are crispy and flavoursome, however, the fish in the ceviche is not the freshest and lacks flavour. They also ran out of their crispy duck leg buns before 6 pm which was quite disappointing, however, the pork piglet belly was so tender and delicious! Desserts were warming and tasty as well. The restaurant was nice and laid back and the service was attentive.

This is a great restaurant for if you're a bun fan the atmosphere is very authentic and they have lovely staff too. As for the food it was delicious! 😃 This is a good place for a birthday 🎂, date or catch up with friends. The sound levels are fine for talking and the location is easy to get to from local stations. A hidden gem!

Visited as a group of 8 for dinner, nice restaurant, and ambience. Drinks took a little time to get ordered and arrive but were pretty good. Food came out in good time and was excellent. Sashimi was very nice, and the beef rib buns were exceptionally good. Smores for dessert was an event. Fire arrived at the table to toast them on. Service wasn't great and a little slow, but food was so good it didn't matter. Will visit again

Took my friend for a birthday dinner here and my friend just kept saying how delicious the food is. We went on a Monday eve, so the food came out really quickly and the service was impeccable. What we had: 🍢Starters: Chips & dips - rice crackers with avocado shisho and tomato salsa. This was my least favourite dish and the one that I wouldn't order again. It wasn't bad but the rice crackers were a tad bland. 3/5 Beef fat potato chips - those were bloody amazing! Try them! 5/5 Fried squid with yuzu kosho mayo and Japanese spices - they were spicy and moreish! Would order again for sure 5/5 🍜Mains: Flesh & bun - crispy piglet belly! I absolutely love pork belly! It was melting in the mouth with a crispy skin what more can you want. 5/5 Miso glazed aubergine poke don - classic Japanese way of cooking aubergine. Delicious! 5/5 🍩Dessert: Kinako donuts - solid choice but next time I'll try the fondant (takes 15min to cook apparently!) The only thing that I found jarring with the whole ambiance of the place was the hentai in the toilets. I did appreciate it, it just looked a bit out of place and might raise some eyebrows 😂

My wife recommended Flesh & Buns after she had a great team lunch at their Soho location. So within 10 days we decided to try their express lunch at the Covent Garden and we weren't disappointed. Their wings and crispy duck were great. Though the chicken teriyaki poke don was alright. Now despite having an overall good score in the taste department I will dock a point as there isn't anything unique here. I think I would find similar dishes in another location with similar vibe and taste for a better price. Nonetheless if you are looking for a place for team lunches or pre theatre meal then their Express menu is a very good option to definitely try. Their service is pretty friendly too and I want to give a shout out to Roshana who took care of us throughout the lunch.

It was a dinner averaging £35 per person. Fusion food. Interesting menu and ways of serving. Friendly team but kitchen was noticeably slow in food preparation. Must be patient. We were sitting at a booth seat with a long table. A staff was in a rush to clear the dishes. He expected us to pass the dishes to him and in a haste of lifting a plate, he dropped the fork and knife onto me. He didn't even apologize and gave an exasperated expression. This small incident spoilt an otherwise pleasant experience.

Food - We recommend the baos which had a great variety of options. Would not recommend going there for sushi exclusively. Also why serve sushi in sets of 5! Makes it annoying to share. Atmosphere was fun and great interiors, although tables are laid out way too densely - made it very uncomfortable to get into a booth seat without risking knocking over another table. Also meant you could hear every word from the table next to you. Good for a social dinner, but would not recommend for a date.

I recently visited Flesh & Buns for the first time and I had an amazing experience. The staff were extremely welcoming and provided outstanding service in a lovely atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend trying the Korean fried wings and the fried squid/calamari starters. For our mains, we ordered the salmon teriyaki and the Japanese fried chicken which came with steamed bao buns that were light and fluffy. I will definitely be returning for another visit!

Came here for a TGIF dinner. We ordered the Korean wings and yakitori chicken for starters which were pretty good. For mains, we had the crispy duck leg as well as the miso grilled aubergine which came with 2 steamed buns each. The crispy duck leg was average (a little dry) and the miso grilled aubergine was overdosed with salty miso which was too overwhelming for our liking and we didn’t finish the dish. The hot sake was really good though and we enjoyed it. Overall, we felt the dinner was overpriced for average dishes and we probably won’t be returning anytime soon.

Came here for a birthday meal, we go the calamari, Korean wings and Tempur prawns as the started which was really nice apart from the calamari which was very salty. For our main I got the boa buns but the sauce that's came with it did not go which put me off my meal. My friend got the poke done which they said was really good which I wish I had gotten instead. This place does get very busy so I would book in advance. Staff are also very friendly

Suuuch delicious food and nice relaxed atmosphere. Always busy. £10 off pp deal in Aug if you mention their email. The salmon teriyaki bao is the standout, big enough to get 4 bao buns out of (you can order more buns v cheap). The miso aubergine poke bowl was v good value and big enough for a lunch or lightish dinner. Fried squid and broccoli and prawn tempura maki to start. All delicious. Washed down with a stone & wood (fav beer discovered in Aus so happy to find it in London!). However it’s not cheap. For all the mentioned food it was £87 including one beer each, we had £20 off but still a relatively pricey meal though. Service was good but not outstanding!

Lovely food, excellent service. We went on a Saturday afternoon and really enjoyed ourselves. The place was not too busy even though Covent garden was heaving. Buns are always an excellent choice, my husband had the salmon teriyaki with crispy noodles. Only thing I found overpowering was the cold jasmine tea.

Had the Winter Taster menu of 9 courses and it was excellent. Great flavours and superb value. Every dish had something different to offer, rounded off by the visually amazing marshmallows. Our server Maria made sure we were looked after exceptionally well through every course. Thank you guys and we'll be back soon.

What can I say our 2nd visit to flesh and buns and the food and service was impeccable again! Service from Abdul who was extremely attentive, helpful and friendly. The food was a solid 10, corn fritters wow, tuna slices dissolved in your mouth, even the pear and lychee drink was outstanding.

Had such a lovely dinner here last night, I’m not sure why this place didn’t have a higher rating. Though we did not order sushi (as I read some lower reviews regarding that) we did order what they are known for, flesh and buns. Started with the corn tempura, broccoli, edamame and chips and dip. Corn tempura came out on top. So good, broccoli was nicely charred with a lovely sauce on top. The dips with the rice chips were so good but that would be the only take it or leave it item. Ordered the beef short rib and buns and oh my goodness it was delicious. The beef was so tender and we both loved that the buns were large. Ordered another set of buns and were shocked that they only cost £2! Oh and the souffle cheesecake with whiskey ice cream! *chefs kiss* Overall we would definitely be back. We didn’t fancy being sat at a high top even with a reservation but also the booths looks so close to each other. Didn’t think it was worth minusing a star though. Recommend!

We were brilliantly looked after by our waiter and his colleagues, who were most attentive. The food arrived quickly and was so varied and tasty. Thanks guys and 5 star reviews thoroughly deserved.

Had the most amazing experience here! We got the tasting menu for 2 people and everything was just incredible! Service was quick, staff was friendly and food was so delicious! It was a lovely way to spend our anniversary meal and I would 100% recommend. The tasting menu is a great way to try a little bit of everything and still end up being really full once you finish! My personal favourites were the tenderstem broccoli (I’ve honestly never had broccoli as flavoursome as this), the korean fried chicken and the crispy duck leg buns. Will definitely be coming back for other special occasions ☺️

Beautiful Japanese restaurant. Food delicious and fresh. Cocktails great value. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Plenty of atmosphere in a traditional/modern fusion. The boa buns are a must.

We really enjoyed flesh & buns and will definitely come back! The food was delicious (we had squid, pork buns and a salmon poke bowl) and we were both stuffed by the end!! The staff were all very friendly (especially our server Maria!!) and were keen to offer any assistance and suggestions.

It's all about the style here. This basement restaurant oozes chic from lighting to shared tables. It's Asian cuisine more than izakaya though with Japanese vibes. The food is good and tasty and visually appetizing. Duck is shredded in front of you and the s'mores are a piece of theatre. I couldn't help but feel however that my food was first designed to show off what I'm eating to others. The tasting menu is great value, otherwise you're in for an expensive evening. Staff were friendly but there was confusion and a little lack of interest. This is a place that puts style above food, though it's perfectly tasty (just a little hard to justify the price)

Great menu, really delicious food. The lucky cat cocktail is incredible. The s’mores dessert was also great, they bring a fire to your table. I only mark down because the service was slow. At a quiet lunchtime service.

Very delicious restaurant, everything on the menu was incredible. Definitely a bit pricey, with relatively small portions depending on what you get. The lamb shank and mixed sushi board was incredible and I'd definitely recommend the wings too. Great service and very quick! I'd recommend the buns too!

We had a great team dinner here. Fab food and good service (could have been a bit more prompt). The starters were great and fit for individual portions. We ended up ordering almost all the starters. The portion size on the mains was very generous and we ended up with a lot of food. Everything was very good.

Enjoyed my time at Flesh and Buns! All dishes were good, my favourite was definitely the rib Bao Bun! The chicken yakitori skewers were also full of flavour. Customer service was great, everyone was pleasant!

Good service. Tasty food and good portion sizes. Communal style seating. They have a set menu available and a reasonable amount of vegetarian options. Loved the s’more.

If you want chicken wings, definitely go here, the Korean fried wings are truly sensational. We also got the lamb buns and salmon buns. The salmon bun had to be the better of two, it was truly remarkable. We did order extra buns and had to wait a long time to receive them, which was a shame. The service wasn’t the greatest but the food here is truly remarkable. Hopefully I can turn this to a five star next time I go!

Yesterday it was my second time at this place. First time was in 2016-ish. Still Very popular place than and now and located at iconic 7 dials area. Food was great, sashimi set was excellent. Not impressed with Korean wings though even it’s very popular. Service was quick and friendly. A bit pricey - over 90 pounds for 2 persons without alcohol with included 12.5% service charge.

Had a blast on Mother’s Day celebration with my daughter. Fast service and friendly staff. Thanks Maria for looking after us. Definitely recommend the Konami donuts for dessert.
