A beautiful and lovely place to go for a walk or a run. There is a beautiful trail all around the lake. Your can go fishing, camping, and also spent time with the beautiful swans over there. Ideal for a small picnic. The area is kept clean and there are public toilets as well. It's quite safe as CCTV cameras are kept in most places as well. There is also a waterfall, a small one, as you walk by.

[April] Bluebells in the woods, swan and heron nesting on the lake islands. Saw a pair of Holly Blue butterflies. Walking between the lake and the River Colne is particularly memorable.

A Tranquil Oasis Little Britain Lake in Uxbridge is a hidden gem that offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As someone who appreciates serene environments, I couldn't help but be captivated by the tranquility of this place. The lake holds a significant historical significance, dating back to the 19th century when it was used for boating and leisure activities. Over time, it has become a cherished location for nature enthusiasts, birdwatchers, and those seeking solace in the midst of nature's beauty. The beauty of Little Britain Lake lies in its unspoiled surroundings. The calm waters, lush greenery, and the gentle rustling of leaves create a soothing ambiance that invites relaxation and contemplation. It's no wonder that many people are drawn to this serene oasis. However, I must admit that part of the charm of Little Britain Lake lies in its peaceful and uncrowded nature. While I appreciate the desire for more people to experience its beauty, a part of me hopes that it remains a tranquil haven. There's something special about being able to enjoy the peace and serenity without too many disturbances. For those who visit, I kindly urge everyone to be mindful of preserving the tranquility of this place. Let's respect the natural environment, keep noise levels to a minimum, and ensure the cleanliness and beauty of the surroundings remain intact for future visitors. If you seek a peaceful retreat to reconnect with nature, Little Britain Lake is the perfect destination.

A lovely lake but can get busy at times. Easy to walk/run/cycle to from West drayton. Worth planning your route via Google maps. Car parking is a little limited.

Why? Because it's shaped like Britain, only smaller. Small lake for walking, birds spotting and fishing, in season. Old flooded gravel pit, but nicely mature and traffic free.

Fantastic page to visit. Take a walk around and relax. Watch the fish in the lake and the river. Take the dog for a walk. Or go fishing. The Hillingdon Council arrange Family Fishing Fun Days each summer. Anyone can go along and learn how to fish, with professionals showing you what to do. They also supply all the equipment, and advice. You'll also have the opportunity to build bird nesting boxes, see the invasive, non-native Signal Crayfish, and find out what's being done to eradicate them. Also face painting, glitter tattoos, bouncy castle, food and drink. A good day out.

I discovered that place by accident when I was younger. Just riding and exploring. It's Very lovely place to walk and watch water life. Birds and fish. So peaceful and secluded. People go there to fish too. Some little trails to walk walkabout and two lovely flowing rivers near by.
