Only visiting for a workshop and theatre show, so didn't know where to park. Saw ncp so chose to park there as running out of time. Only options were 1-4 hours OR 24hrs. As 4 wouldn't be enough I had no choice but to go for the 24 at a very expensive cost. Upon returning after the show - the car park was locked up with my car inside. There were 10 people from 4 different groups who were all locked out and having not seen any signs saying it would close. The person on the helpline was of no help whatsoever. A few people luckily had friends nearby they could crash at. That left 4 of us - My daughter and I, she's autistic and this unexpected turn of events was very difficult to cope with. The other pair was 2 friends, one who was on a disability scooter. We had no choice but to find a hotel at nearly 11pm at night. A cost I really couldn't afford. We had nothing with us for staying away overnight and two little dogs home alone. One of the ladies had two young daughters (11 +15) who would be left home alone overnight too. The following morning when we could get our car back, there were NO signs on or right next to the ticket machine which is where you would need them to be and no mention of it closing on the biggest information sign on the wall either. This is totally wrong and left 4 females 3 of whom have various additional needs, stranded and vulnerable in an unknown city at 11pm at night. NOT ACCEPTABLE NCP

Locked out of the car park at 9.pm the website says 11.30. Car park took my money past 9 regardless. 11 other people turned up at 9 to collect their cars, 2 children and one pregnant lady! I made 4 calls everyone else made phone calls. They couldn't find their own car park to help us, adventually did saying they would ask someone to unlock the car park so we weren't all standed for the entire night in the cold. Said they would call back, no one called back, 11 o'clock came now we're starting to run out of options on how to get home before there's no public transport available. Till no phone call till 20 past 11 when he tells me no one's coming. Absolutely disgraceful customer service and responses to stranded family's. Not only have we had to find a way home this late at night we have to figure out a way of getting back tomorow morning to collect the car once the gate opens..if it doesn't and if on time. Disgusting.

None of the pay and display machines worked, resulting in a crowd of people unable to pay. Using the app is such hard work, takes ages to set up and is not very user friendly. To top it all off our cars were locked in at 9PM, with no clear signage making us aware of this. Very disappointed. AVOID!!!!

Read notices. We parked in there paid for 24 hours. Went back to get car at 11pm it was locked shutters down. We hadn't seen the tiny sign which read closes at 9pm. We rang the number but they weren't very helpful. How were we going to get back to Plymouth?

Good location. Prices in this NCP carpark are suitable for Bill Gates and any other billionaire. As for a commoner like myself I used this carpark once and was stoney broke for a week after. I recommend pretty much any other carpark in Exeter especially the outdoor ones that are less than half the price.

You need to display your closing times clearly!!! How many people are getting their car locked in at 6.30? Are you doing it deliberately to force people to pay overnight parking? Judging by your customer service line that hung up on me I wouldn’t be surprised.

Paid for 4 hours of parking (an extautionate price of £7 or £8 at that), left after two hours. Later I recieve a letter in the post and am issued with a £100 fine (even with evidence in the letter that I left within the 4 hours paid for) saying that I parked longer than the allocated time. Speaking to collueges I am not the only one that has been fined here recently for completely abiding to the rules. Stay well, well clear of this place.

Same as every other review on here....CAR PARK IS LOCKED FROM 9PM TO 7AM. I called the premium rate number to check before we left the car at 7pm, luckily I did call. After we left the Corn Exchange there were people stood outside the car park because it was locked. Do NOT park there if you'll be there after 9pm. Unfortunately NCP seem indifferent by other reviews.

Expensive and full of needles and syringes. Why pay for a "secure" car park when every crackhead in Exeter shoots up behind your car. Be very careful walking around there if you have to park here...avoid!!

NEVER park here if you need your car after 6pm as it will be locked in no matter if Google say's it closes at 9pm and you pay for a ticket till 8:47pm, Yep from experience, had elderly mother in law with us and she has a heart condition, her meds was in the car! And still NCP wouldn't send someone to open it. We are from Cornwall, and train strikes, had to pay for hotel. So be warned!

Left our car here to see a show but got back to find it locked. We ended up getting a train home. Its not clearly marked that it shuts at 9pm. Be warned!

NO USE FOR LARGER CARS!!!! The spaces are so small and mainly suitable for smaller cars. We chanced parking our Range Rover in an end space and still got our side door dinged by another car door. Not worth using if you have a larger car. We took 3 attempts to try and park as there is barely any room to manuover either 😢

NOTE CLOSES AT 9PM! NOT 24HRS!! It’s “operational” for 24hrs BUT YOU WILL HAVE NO ACCESS TO YOUR CAR. IT WILL BE LOCKED IN. Customer services support was disgusting, total disregard for any distress this caused. What if there was an emergency situation? They apparently don’t have anyone to call out. You have been warned.

Very small, tight car park. If you've got a big car you'll struggle to get parked!!

Very convenient location for town centre, cathedral etc. Bit dark and dirty

Pay machines were out of service so a member of staff told us we need to download the ncp app to pay and use the carpark.

This management is nothing but unkind A holes who put people in very difficult situations. No clear signs to say the parking close at 6pm. Took our money to park until 7 and when we returned parking was closed and we had to go back in a taxi. Show some respect and kindness to your customers!

BEWARE NCP Car App difficult to use even for tech savvy people. In my case it failed to register payment resulting in a parking fine which I contested and lost. #NCP = Very poor indeed.

A little expensive. Enclosed car park. The spaces seem smaller compared to some other car parks. Also shutters are down at various times of the day. I prefer Howell Road carpark, better hourly rate and still close walk to all shops

😐 I parked there. It's a car park. I'm not sure it has immeasurably enriched my life, but it's close enough to the city centre for an able-bodied OAP like me.

👍👍 For clarity this car park does NOT have big yellow barriers. That is Magadalen Road. A convenient carpark and more pleasant alternative to Cathedral Quarter parking. A small car park with tight spaces, but much easier access than Magdalen Road which is round the corner. Podpoint EV charging availa...

😐 Plenty of spaces to park. There are metal dividers installed at the entrance to the car park as shown in pics. Very narrow space to get through. It would be hard for Van and SUVs. You can either pay there or use Ringgo app for online payment.
