I have used the carpet trade centre to carpet and karndean our family home and also for two rental properties. On all three occasions we have been delighted with the flooring. From visiting the store to the competition of fitting, i was impressed with the service received throughout. I would highly recommend this company and have done on many occasions. Some people appreciate good service, others maybe not so much - can't please them all.

What a fantastic company!! Helpful, professional and could answer all our questions. The team in the shop were amazing and the fitter Dan was superb and did an incredible job. So happy with the end result and the Amtico scorched timber looks amazing throughout the entire ground floor of our house. Excellent help and advice in choosing our flooring, really knowledgeable staff answered all our questions. They had all the samples in store, far better than looking in a catalogue. We are pleased with the fitting, they turned up on time and did a good job.

Second time we have used Carpet Trade Centre for our flooring needs, this time replacement kitchen flooring after water leak. After talking through all options we selected Amtico tiles after recommendation from David in the showroom. Work was carried out professionally and Daniel the fitter did a fantastic job of fitting the tiles. Would highly recommend and its great to support a local business

We have used Carpet Trade Centre twice and both times they have been fantastic. They managed to match the laminate previously installed in the hallway so we could carry it on in the lounge and it was installed perfectly. We used them a second time to carry out a patch repair on the stairs and you'd never be able to tell where the damage previously was. Great installation teams, very knowledgeable about the products, I would highly recommend.

Love the pattern and border - the guys in the shop were so helpful sending photos of the options when we couldn’t get in to the shop - we did go in to see in the flesh as well! Daniel the fitter was excellent and fast! Real attention to detail. Very impressed! We are still mid build! Just showing the floor off!!

Brilliant service from start to finish! I had my kitchen, hallway, cloakroom, stairs and landing all done with Karndean flooring. (I love it all but the stairs look fantastic!) I used Carpet Trade Centre to fit carpets throughout a new build property. From my initial visit to the showroom to having the carpets fitted, I found everyone I dealt with professional and helpful with no hard sell. The carpet fitters were excellent and clearly take pride in their work. Very much recommended.

We are delighted with the Amtico flooring that The Carpet Trade Centre have just fitted in our kitchen & conservatory. We had no idea what flooring to chose - David was so helpful and has suggested the most perfect solution! The service we have received has been second to none - work swiftly completed to a very high standard. The fitters were very professional, and worked hard to keep disruption to a minimum.

Found the Carpet Trade Centre by accident - excellent service, extremely helpful staff. I was lucky enough to be offered a cancellation and as the fitting team were due to fit a hall, 2 sets of stairs and landing, I was told it might be across two days (one after the other). When the fitting team (Martin and his team) came to lay the carpet in the hall, 2 lots of stairs and landing they did a fantastic job and worked very hard and completed it in one visit. Fantastic service from start to finish. Will use again.

Just had my whole house done by these guys, I had karndean laid in my hall, toilet, and kitchen diner, Chris made a fantastic job, spent a couple of hours levelling the floor with silicon screed and a full day laying the tiles, made a fantastic job too, very pleased. The next day it was the carpets, Martin, Steve and Eddie turned up first thing and worked a full day taking up the old stuff and relaying new underlay, carpets, grippers etc in 2 lounges, stairs, landing, 3 bedrooms and 3 cupboards. I had 9 doors that they removed and trimmed because of the new carpet and underlay. They were very professional, very careful and very clean and tidy. The finished result is fantastic, very pleased with the carpets too. It’s a pleasure to deal with a business that is so knowledgeable and uses fitters that are skilled craftsmen. Happy to recommend them to anyone .

**Pre-Cursor ** The fitters (who are a separate business) were lovely and did an amazing job, I’d hire them in a heartbeat, but Carpet Trade Centre were TERRIBLE! Rude, and bordering on threatening. If I hadn’t pulled my flooring up in preparation I’d have gone elsewhere. The customer service of Carpet Trade Centre is non-existent. We organised a visit to review the flooring and asked for some samples to be brought (as the shop’s shut due to Covid). David organised a time to bring the samples, but was over an hour late and as we had to go out we then got a couple of rather rude impatient phone messages complaining that the samples were heavy (not our problem! make smaller samples!) and we’d caused him an inconvenience. He came round again with the samples, I wrongly assumed he might leave them with us so we could discuss as my partner was working. I was informed incredulously that no, we couldn’t keep them and he had to take them back to the shop immediately. I was made to feel like ‘well hurry up and make a decision’. Again, apologies for wanting to consider them with the agreement of my partner when we’re spending thousands of pounds. We booked a date and paid a deposit, we were then emailed in quite an abrupt tone 2 days prior and asked to pay upfront for the materials and that ‘it says it all over the quote’ (it doesn’t, we checked). Sorry, but a) what’s the point of the deposit and b) if you pay for services I don’t expect to pay until the job’s done to a satisfactory level. We asked a question on email and didn’t receive an answer (they repeatedly got our name wrong as well). I was then called on the day and told if I can’t pay this morning, he won’t send the fitter and told again it says it on the quote. This was now beyond rude. I went to ask a question and he talked over me saying ‘so are you going to transfer the money by BACS’. I said he was being rude, he didn’t seem that bothered or offer an apology. You just don’t speak to customers like this or to be frank, anyone. You offer a service, we pay a deposit, you do the work, we pay the balance OR you say at the beginning, cash up front. Had I not pulled the floor up in preparation, I would have gone elsewhere.

I agree with all the reviews on this site as the service from this company has been excellent. We went to the shop to buy a bedroom, landing and stair carpet for a rented property that I was selling. There was no 'hard sell' from the owner who served us as he showed us a lovely remnant of carpet at reduced cost which was perfect. We arranged a date for some weeks later as we had some renovation work to do on the property and the fitters turned up on the time arranged. They were friendly, quick and efficient and the fitting was excellent throughout. Unfortunately, we were unable to offer a cup of coffee as the house was empty and we had travelled from Christchurch to let them in. My apologies again to them! I recommend anyone from the area to use this company for great service.

Was new to the area and didn’t know who to use took a punt on these guys and was very impressed. Very helpful in the shop and the guy who fitted was superb with great workmanship

Had my flooring installed today, and im very happy with the results! Service was great from carpet trade centre and also installer Chris did a good job, and also he was on time. Also i read the review about Chris being drunk, and i think i know why th3 reviewer thought that! After doing my subfloors, Chris opened a chemical, which was either glue or to clean or something, i realy dont know what it was other than he did something flooring related, and it smelt like alcoholic drinks, perhaps what the gentleman in that review was smelling was residue on Chris’s clothes... thought i clarify as well, but other than that i highly recommend and now i know who to contact for future flooring requirements

This is a great place to go if you're looking for a small piece of carpet or vinyl. They have a big selection of room size pieces and lots of helpful staff. The fitter that laid my bathroom vinyl last week did a brilliant job, cutting perfectly round all the fiddly pipes etc and sealing the edge so neatly. It looks fab! Many thanks.

Carpet Trade Centre is really the best place to go and place your order for any type of flooring you may want for your house. We were recommended by a friend to visit this showroom based on the superb flooring they did for him in his house. They have a wide range of flooring options. They can provide the best quotes to you which are impossible to get anywhere else. We tried 3 other big brands and a couple of local businesses in other towns as well but the quotes that we got from David (the owner) at Carpet Trade Centre are best. We would highly recommend anyone looking for flooring options to visit this place !!!
