    I normally have a first class service but my recent experience was very disappointing. My initial contact was good but things went rapidly downhill after that. My new discovery sport was with you nearly a week and apart from me ringing, I had absolutely no contact from Harwoods Basingstoke. On one occasion I phoned 7 times in one day for a update and never received a call back, in fact the receptionist thought it was quite funny! When I did eventually get my car back, after me contacting them, the car was absolutely filthy!! Land Rover assist on the other hand gave a fantastic service.

    came in today to get a service done on my car and was greeted my james fagg who off the bat started mumbling under his breath racist slurs he then proceeded to throw banana’s at me and told me to drive my car back to the rain forrest. i took my car and left i returned approximately 15 mins later to file a complaint with his manager and james fagg proceeded to break down behind his colleague which later was revealed to be his auntie. would not recommend this place as james fagg was very aggressive now currently in contact with therapy as i don’t feel comfortable leaving my house anymore cheers.

    Terry and the Harwoods Basingstoke Team were absolutely first rate. Communication was great throughout matched with expert knowledge and a helpful approach to queries around options. I would recommend the Team to anyone considering a new Land Rover purchase.

    Have bought my latest Jaguar from Harwoods and have had the pleasure of dealing with Nicholas Walker on this and two previous purchases. He is a pleasure to deal with, knowledgeable about JLR vehicles, highly engaging & personable as well as being a genuine enthusiast of performance cars. Would have no hesitation in recommending him to others. The people in a dealership define the customer experience and he is a credit to Harwoods.

    Beware of buying a used car from this dealership. I bought my Range Rover from Basingstoke just over a year ago. Since owning the car it’s had its fair share of issues. The car was sold to me with with bad paint work, which was rectified after complaining (albeit not properly). The car recently had its first service by Southampton Land Rover, and a whole host of issues have been flagged including; replacement of disk breaks, pads, wipers, and all new tyres. This came as a huge surprise, as I wouldn’t have expected a Land Rover garage to sell a 3-year old car with such worn parts. I contacted the representative (Paul) who sold me the car, but heard nothing back. They clearly don’t care about their customers after they’ve sold the car. I will never purchase a car from Land Rover Basingstoke again, nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. *Response to Basingstoke* I have emailed the email address detailed below over a week ago, yet no one has come back to me.

    Service of F-type Flawless end to end service from Lauren Coventry and Neil Bowers, from handover to collection, they carried out all required items, plus an additional request I had. Lauren kept me constantly updated on progress, Neil is clearly technically very knowledgeable on F-types and the car was spotless when I collected it. Polite, professional and helpful, I couldn’t ask for anything more.

    AVOID this dealership they could not care less about looking after your vehicle. Harwoods Basingstoke have badly damaged my F-Type when in for a service. Scratched the driver's door sill down to the bare metal, mis-aligned the bonnet and slammed it shut damaging the bonnet and the side vent. Inside the car, although I cannot be 100% sure, it appears they have marked a switch and pillar on the centre console too. To top it off they even had the audacity to hand the car back covered the car covered in greasy hand prints. Despite being promised a call immediately the next day to get it repaired, I have had to chase the Assistant Service Manager via call and email and even then, nearly at the end of the week no resolution. UPDATE: After considerable chasing, Harwoods Jaguar collected the vehicle and took it off to be repaired. After stating it would be approximately 3 days, the vehicle was returned a week later. Upon inspection, only half of the repairs have been done! The door sill is repaired, but the bonnet and vent still haven't been. Tracy who replied to my review was emailed promptly after and never even responded. This dealership is not fit to be responsible for customers' vehicles, let alone high-end ones. Original review: Faith restored in Jaguar dealers. Thank you to Neil Bowers and the team. Brilliant customer service, throughout - service department has been very accommodating and efficient. Had some issues with some noises and handling and their team booked in an inspection literally the next day. Offered to charge the car as the battery overnight as it was showing as low and were very reasonably priced.

    I have been using my local main dealer , ( Harwoods the last 12 or more years) , for over 30 years. They always look after me so well. Just had my Jaguar serviced together with a couple of other jobs this week and as usual the service from Lucy the service advisor and the rest of the service team was great. The reception girls ,Shannon and Giverny, alway greet you like a friend, always a pleasure to go in. Thank you again Harwoods.

    Once you purchase a car the communication from this company falls off a cliff. There were a few issues with the car we bought, which I understand as things don't always go perfectly, but the lack of effort from them to keep us updated is shocking. They have had our car for two weeks now and I have no idea when it will be returned to us. I chase them once or twice a week to try and find out and it usually takes around 5-6 calls to be able to actually speak to someone who can help. Ironically part of the issue is that the only person who can gives us updates is the person who sold us the car, and every time I call in he is busy selling cars.

    WORST experience ever. Dealer took a deposit off of me. I took the time off work to collect it. Dealer then tells me I can’t have it because they think I am going to sell it!! They go through old companies of mine and ask questions as to what the businesses did, disgusting! Another LR dealer said they will register it themselves and then sell for a £20k profit. I have the chassis number and will be reporting them if they do. AVOID UNLESS YOU ENJOY GETTING MESSED AROUND. They are lucky that 1 star is the lowest they can get😡

    Thank you Simon for your assistance earlier helping us decide upon a Velar, F-pace and I-pace. Upon arrival we were asked if we needed assistance but initially we just wanted to look around. When we were ready Simon provided great service and organised test drives for myself and my wife. We came to the Basingstoke branch having initially visited Greenham Common and in 30 minutes standing around no-one paid us any notice. If you are considering a Land rover or Jag I would have no hesitation recommending this Basingstoke dealership.

    Not a very pleasant experience. I purchased a Used Jaguar. The tyre inflation and tools were missing. I chased this up immediately after 2 months of chasing I was sent only a part of the inflation kit which is useless. After spending countless hours on this and over 22 emails later I had to give this up as a bad job. Nobody confirmed at any point whether my query was fulfilled and I was satisfied I just don't think anyone cared. Not a very good after sales service.

    DODGY GARAGE!! I would never trust them again! Car comes back with broken things that were working perfectly before they serviced the car!! Happened twice now, 2 years in a row!! ***** I've put my car in for service 2 years in a row since moving house and both times, it's come back with something else broken that needs to go back to them to be fixed!! First time, it was the heated seat on the drivers side that was working perfectly before it went in and then came out broken. Second time it was the heating fans not working properly and they were working perfectly when it went in! Hundreds of pounds worth of stuff for them to fix! Coincidence? I don't think so!! Both times, I was told the issues were nothing to do with the work they had done as they weren't working on that part of the car. Well, they would say that wouldn't they! I truly believe that this garage breaks things whilst the cars are in there so that they can get them back in to fix and get more money out of their customers. Especially if they learn that the customer has an extended warranty, which I do. Then they can tell me that it's not costing me anything but they earn their money through the warranty company. For things to be in perfect working order before they touch the car and then come back broken is an issue! Something isn't right here! I HIGHLY recommend you take your car elsewhere!

    Outstanding service experience at Harwoods in Basingstoke. Staff are extremely attentive and clearly truly care about providing an excellent level of service. It's great to see that old fashioned customer service is still alive and well with Range Rover at Harwoods. I have some other premium branded cars which I wish I could say the same for since they just want to take your money and milk you as a customer. (not mentioning any names - german sports car manufacturer).... Harwoods servicing is the best advertisement that Range Rover could hope for. Well done !

    Had the pleasure of dealing with Steve Bristow parts manager, who was extremely resourceful and efficient, and helped me source a crucial part for my vehicle within 24hrs , which I had been waiting on in the excess of a month from my original dealership, who to date could not source the part !     Just had to take my Defender in for a new drive belt. I was very impressed by the Service Team, who only charged 0.8 hours labour to complete the work and offered a discount on the part. My only comment would be that getting through to the Service Team can be difficult. Lots of waiting on hold for the phone never to be picked up so you have to go via Sales instead and request a call back.

    I recently purchased a second hand Jaguar from Harwoods in Basingstoke and was very impressed with the service that was offered, from the greeting received at reception through to the completion of the deal. I visited other showrooms and the one at Basingstoke was head and shoulders above any others and the knowledge shown by our sales consultant on both the vehicle and the paperwork required was very impressive. I also appreciated the fact that he was not a ‘ pushy salesman ‘ which went a long way to us purchasing a Jaguar. Thank you Ben, I love my new car.
