Fun place to walk around on a Saturday afternoon. Lots of good restaurants with a hip vibe!

Always a great decision. You can find whatever food to make your tummy happy! Great little shops and friendly service from each and every place of business! Great for get togethers to celebrate for whatever occasion! Kid friendly! Family friendly!

Very nice and unique place to hang out. The big chimes are awesome and must see. A lot of art around that is great to just stroll and look at. Parking garage with free parking until 6pm, then just $3 after. Good amount of places to eat to choose from!

The character and charm reminded me of home. Overton Square has a certain ability to bring the sense and feeling of “small town square” to a city like Memphis. It is definably one of my favorite places to escape to.

This area is beautiful and has some of the best restaurants. The art work on buildings etc is simply beautiful. The colors are so bright and inviting. Being here radiates good cheer!! I highly recommend visiting and enjoying all OS has to offer.

Shrimp Poboy was delicious per my friend from Maryland where he’s use to fresh seafood. I had the shrimp and grits and it’s the best I’ve ever had in Memphis. It’s a very unique taste in sauce/gravy. The shrimp were cooked just right and succulent. We had a wonderful waitress.

The Square! My gosh! It's been there since the late 60's us hippies were happy to hang out there with much love and peace. Fun fun fun and I got to watch it develop. Even though we had to move off of Monroe st. to make room for a parking lot.Then as a teen all my friends and myself practically lived at a place called Solomon's and Alfred's. They had the Arcade hookup.Those were the Best days of my life! Thank you Overton Square! Though my places have been closed for many years but I am very happy to see it still going strong!

Love this park...it's beautiful! Memphis zoo right here, Art museum,. Historic old side of Memphis. First time I walked the old first trails it had been a ice storm it was melting ice crystals were falling on us. The tress glittered!

The atmosphere at the square is really chill. You can walk, visit the stores, get something to eat, and enjoy a movie. Really nice place to go if you want to just hang out.

I love what they've done to the place! Such an improvement in atmosphere - the buildings look great and create a cozy but fun and full of life energy that was missing 5 years ago. Many choices in cuisine, night life, and shopping!

The only place to freely socialize in Memphis. Safe, well observed public venues serving great food, drinks, and friends. Any age of any demographic welcome as long as you behave like a decent human being. If your intent is to diminish the experience of others I would insist on staying away. This community is tight and will find you if you do harm to our friends.

It was mine and my husbands 6 year anniversary. We had met here 10 years ago and decided to go back to celebrate. Instead of just having dinner at one place, we spent the day shopping and jumping from restaurant to restaurant trying different appetizers and drinks. We had such a wonderful time and there was definately no lack in finding something fun to do. We ended the night at the zebra lounge, (piano bar) and had a blast! We love Overton Square an will continue to celebrate special occasions here.

Mostly clean with decent parking available. Various restaurants, shops and forms of entertainment available for all age groups and families. Most places offer a bit of a price gouge, but being in a "hot spot" of Memphis, that much can be expected. Lafayette's is ALWAYS a winning choice! Local could leave without being missed.

It's cool place to hang out with your friends and has a variety of options for dining out. Parking is a bit tricky, if you would like to visit after 6 there are paid parking with about $5-$10. Overall for a small city like Memphis, it's a nice place!

Had a pedicure at Gould's.Enjoyed the view as well.And the salad from Bellyache was delicious.

Our server was super attentive, wish I could remember her name..very chill atmosphere. Will def be back!

I don't know what to say just yet....While waiting for a restaurant to open (two African American women) with our luggage just leaving the airport. Sitting minding our own business on a stump which looked like it was for sitting... We saw a security guard approaching us whom we asked questions about the restaurants in the area...He was very nice and kind but we were wondering why he came our way.....it did not look like he was doing a regular patrol he came directly to us makes me wonder...So I'll answer this again before we leave.

Overton Square is nice part of town with several places to dine and shop in. Parking has always been an issue and still is. There is a parking garage close by to help out. But it can get pretty congested. So you may have to park and walk back to where you're headed.

This was a fun place. Lots of neat shops and food. Nightlife is probably lots of fun and happening. Didn't go there at night because Memphis isn't the safest place to be when it gets dark!

This is always the spot when you Dr not sure what to eat. On this strip there's an eatery with Indian food, Mexican food, pizza 🍕, burgers, a candy and ice cream shop, a few boutiques, and you can stop and see a movie. Always my spot when my taste buds are all over the place.

Went to Lafayette's Music Room tonight for a concert. Nice and well lit parking garage for only $3. Seemed like a nice and safe place.

Babalus is a nice restaurant good food good atmosphere and good service

The resteraunts down this road have all given there best to each and every customer and honestly I enjoy going to each one down this road. And the security they keep makes it feel safer then beale street.

Lafayettes Music Room is without doubt an excellent midtown destination. Great food at reasonable prices served by friendly staff. Good variety of local craft beers too. Why go all the way downtown when this jewel is closer!

Very nice place,little shopping and delicious food at Porch and Parlor. Then Lafayette Room for a awesome band. Stayed at Memphian. Overall it was a great experience.

Love this strip! I've been to Local, Lafayette's, Sweet Noshings, Saltwater Crab and more! My food is always good and so are the drinks! You will enjoy yourself morning, afternoon or evening! We have been for birthdays, Father's day, special occasions and just because!

I work out here so I love it since it's very convenient. I haven't really had an issue with any crime thus far. I can also leave work and then go have a drink within walking distance without feeling unsafe. I've familiarized myself with the local bartenders and they are all very friendly. Also if there is an issue there are security patrolling frequently. Thankfully I haven't needed their services yet.

This one of the best places to hang out. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and grills. There are a lot of hidden gems in Overton Square. If you are looking for live music, clubs and entrainment this is the spot to visit. This place is packed with thing to do for anyone in your group.

This area is a super cute, tons of things to do here! The restaurant scene is fantastic and there is plenty of shopping to keep you busy. Take a minute to rest at Chime Square also!

I'm a native MEMPHIAN but recently moved to Overton Square. I absolutely ❤️ walking out of my apartment and having countless restaurants and bars to choose from. I live within walking distance of a movie theater, some of the best locally owned eateries, yoga studios, the zoo, and sooooo much more !! Overton Square was THE happening place back in the 70's its where my mom and dad met and I've loved hearing all of the memories they made during their 20's. NOW I'm just lucky enough to live where their love began 💕

This is one of my favorite places in Memphis. There is always somewhere to shop, just about anything you want to eat, even little ones can have fun. There is always something to do here!

The heart of Midtown as I like to call it or Midtown's version of Beale Street. The vibe and atmosphere is completely different than downtown. There are amazing restaurants, bars, clothing shops, dessert spot, salon, live music, urban street art, and it is colorful and vibrant! Very laid-back and perfect for everyone, even kid-friendly. I would highly recommend this area for outside dining, patio enjoyment, and beautiful scenery/views.

Loved it my husband had the Bison Burger and said it was amazing. I had the Pub Burger and loved it. The drinks were good and the price wasn't bad. We had a good time.

LOCAL ON THE SQUARE! Brunch was wonderful with the girls, I recommend the frozen gummy bear beverage and the Madame sandwich with scrambled egg on top! Don't forget to tip your waitresses!!!
