First visit to the star Inn definitely be going back again top class food, staff was lovely and pub very cosy .. Worth the visit .

Local pub with a great atmosphere in the bar, quieter bar in the restaurant area. Good range of beers and a pub menu that offers sone different food choices. Will visit again.

Really tasty Sunday roast. Super friendly staff who gave my dog a fuss and a treat! We will definitely be returning.

The Star has had a fresh make over with good furniture making it more accessible, fresh and light, very comfortable, new chef with a great menu, the food is amazing and reasonably priced, highly recommended this country village pub. Excellent food, presentation 👌 good quality wine 🍷 with a reasonably priced menu.

Lovely home cooked Sunday lunch, really good service and friendly helpful staff. Definitely will be eating here again.

Great Pies at the pie and pint night tonight - and every Wednesday. Big choice on the menu, we had mince and onion, and chicken and mushroom. Both were delicious. Nice puds too. Well kept Wye Valley ales and friendly service.

Had another fantastic Sunday lunch yesterday at 'the Star' in Wick. Always a great welcome, food was delicious. Dog is welcome in the bar and even given a treat. Can't wait to go again. So glad I booked as was very busy.

Stopped in here before our trip back to Gloucester for a drink,really friendly atmosphere and bar staff. My wife had orchard gold which was truly amazing. 5 star.

Visited last night for a bite to eat and a few beers. Had ham, egg, peas and chips. Absolutely delicious, the nicest ham ever. Was tempted to have dessert and had Emily's Brownie with salted caramel ice cream. That too was superb. A lovely pub with excellent real ale. Lovely pub, great atmosphere and always a friendly welcome.

Superb village pub serving excellent real ales and top quality food. Very well known for there steak nights. Highly recommended.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Couldn't do enough for us. All 3 meals were excellent and hot. And staff checked that everything was OK. And said any problems then to please let them know. And they would be happy to rectify it. But service, staff and food couldn't of been better.

Second visit but DEFO not the last. Food was great, staff really friendly making you feel real at home. Atmosphere had community/village feel about it and Emily very knowledgeable about her beer and hospitality in general. Loved it. Thank you so much.

Traditional locals pub however I'm no local and was welcomed in no probs. Friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Only popped in for a drink but heard about their Sunday lunches (apparently very nice indeed!) This pub is the escape from life many of us need on a monthly basis, pop in chat to the locals and hear tales have a few drinks, eat some food and escape from reality? Big mention to the girls behind the bar really friendly and chilled out. What more could you ask for?

Always have a lovely meal here. Emily is an awesome landlady and her team are really lovely too. The food this time was fab as usual.... veggie lasagne is to die for and the flatbread....omg!yummy! Hubby really enjoyed his burger....said it was the nicest one he's had in a while. It was huge!
