Very friendly service and staff. Lovely cosy pub. Beautiful food highly recommended 😊

Stopped by this pub on Saturday after a day out with friends. There was a dog area outside and the pub even offered treats and water for our pup, which made her feel a lot more relaxed 🥰 the food was delicious and presentation was on point. There was also an outdoor play area for our little girl which we didn't get a chance to walk around and look properly at as we had the dog, but our little girl loved it! Will definitely be visiting again.

My sister and I ate here for the first time this evening and we know we're now going to be regulars! The food was absolutely delicious and the chips were the best we've ever tasted. The steak was cooked to perfection and the sauces were incredible!! Also the prawn cocktail starter was fresh and gorgeous! Added to this the service was fabulous and the atmosphere great and we'd give 10 out of 10 for everything! Oh and as a ps the toilets were very clean too!

Me and my wife went for our first date in ages and from entering the restaurant the staff were friendly and attentive I ordered the pate for starter it was incredible. Then we both had a burger with pulled beef which has been cooked in gravy nothing left on the plate when we had finished it was amazing!! Then we finished with the chocolate fudge cake yum. Food was amazing, service was amazing and price was amazing. Highly recommend this place for a nice tasty meal. The staff couldn't have been any more helpful. Thank you.

Limited menu, overall the food was not very good.We have been 3 times and everytime has been the same. We definitely wont go there for food again. The staff are polite, have good customer service skills, and there is a nice playground for children to play in. Probably best just to go for drinks.

Went for a family meal and had a lovely time. The staff were so friendly and welcoming from the moment you stepped inside. The service was excellent and the food was served quickly and was hot. In fact we were so impressed that we have booked Christmas day lunch. Great range of beer's, wine's, ciders and spirits. Highly recommended.

Absolutely lovely staff here. Not on their mobiles like you find in other places.Very pleasant, professional and quick to serve. We noticed it's dog friendly so that's an added bonus. We were always looking for places to eat when we had our little dog. It's table service if you sit out in the front garden. Take a jumper because it's quite shaded at the front. You can download their app and order through your phone. Lovely pub

Festive meal was amazing, tasted like a home cooked roast. Serving staff were really polite and met all our needs. We would have expected to pay double the price from the food we were served, it was phenomenal. The atmosphere was lovely, and we had a great time. Cant wait to come back

Looks a lovely place to eat, unfortunately due to the wait on food, we were unable to eat as we had a prior appointment. Just goes to show how popular this place is. I would recommend booking a time as we were lucky & got the only free table at the time. Will definitely be returning at some point soon 👍

Absolutely lovely food, bar staff very friendly and waitresses where helpful and solved our tables late deserts. We would definitely recommend and will visit again. Dog friendly and very good parking and outside seating areas.

The food was nice and it was delivered to us within half hour the wait to order at the bar was lengthy when we ordered mains and dessert , the gentleman did explain there would be a wait as there were only two of them working and he did seem very under pressure due to this , he was trying. To serve drinks and then had to stop and make time to take food orders so my only reason for a lower star rating would be due to the length of time that we had to wait to order being so close to Xmas prob more staff req but I know getting staff in hospitality is dire I felt sorry for them not annoyed at them they were working 110% to try and do it all

There was 15 guests and the lady that was looking after us was absolutely amazing! She was very patient while attending to the children and was very polite and friendly throughout. The food we had was all delicious, not a bad word from anyone. We all thoroughly enjoyed. The bar staff were also very friendly and polite. The park was a godsend, it kept 8 kids occupied before and after food. Overall, we all loved our experience with you and are looking forward to returning in the near future

The Ty Rhisha Alehouse and the surrounds including car park and outside seating areas were very clean and tidy. The service on arrival was polite and friendly. There were 3 people in our party and 2 had steaks and I had the mixed grill. As it was a nice sunny day we requested our food be delivered to an outside table and we ordered drinks. We were pleasantly surprised at the speed of our food being served to us. All three said that the food was of a great standard and cooked to our particular preferences (Rare, medium rare etc.). The portions were generous and the price was very reasonable. We will certainly use the Ty Rishia again in the future and have no hesitation recommending the food to friends and family.

We went there for my daughter's 13th birthday, it was lovely. The park was very clean and amusing for all my children's ages. Food was gorgeous all empty plates. I requested a cake to come out as a surprise and the staff were more than happy to accommodate that. We will definitely be back.

Easy to book online. Greeted when we arrived. Plenty of room between tables. We both had Atlantic cod and chips. Number one on our list. The batter was so crunchy and didn't go soggy like some. Chips crunchy with soft centre. Fabulous meal. Will definitely be back.

We chose this place as it has a play area and is dog friendly. We were warmly welcomed and shown to the doggy area. There was fresh water and snacks for them too. A good kids menu and varied main menu. I had the Mac n cheese which was gorgeous. The staff were lovely and so were some of the other diners who made a fuss of our two Beagles. There is ample parking too. We will definitely be going back. Fab place.

We booked online as advised on your website. We arrived to a busy car park and garden tables full as it had been a beautiful day. Inside we waited briefly to be seated. A staff member came soon and told us to expect up to an hour or more wait for food. It was quiet inside and we were shown a table and advised to queue for drinks. He seemed to be the only staff member serving the tables and another taking orders behind the bar. We decided to book a table at another venue and left soon after telling the staff member our decision.

The staff was very friendly!! Was lush to see how kind they was not just to there 2 legged customers but there 4 legged customers! Their food was absolutely beautiful and so cheap for what we had!! The prawn cocktail is absolutely gorgeous!! My steak was cooked perfectly!! Not 1 bad comment!! (Even the Pepsi was fizzy and tasted like Pepsi) definitely coming back soon

This place is beautiful but very ignorant on customer service. paying for things they don’t serve you. Chef loves cooking/ adding black pepper to everything. Shame as we didn’t ask for pepper. Hence why I left the food seen in picture. Took picture of menu as I was charged for side salad 🥗 but got small little amount on plate. Which was covered in black pepper. Told staff. And never saw them again till they collected my plate full of food - the salad my partner eat. As they didn’t come back ! Oh well. So if you have allergies or food dislikes/requirements etc don’t bother coming here as they don’t listen or do anything here! And ignore you if you do ! No apologies no comments no acknowledgment of wrong doings. Fish was absolutely horrible rock hard, fish inside tasted really not very nice in our opinion hence why it was left in pictures. I Didn’t ask for any money off or anything (this isn’t about wanting money back etc) and they tried to charge me twice for side salad 🥗 when I didn’t get the first salad. Which wasn’t cheap. And not on menu! ( so not sure why they offered side salad & how they priced it up? But I never got it) Staff not that polite or welcoming. And walk away when ordering food , drinks and comes back several minutes later and had to start again place wasn’t busy yet it took nearly an hour for food to arrive which was fine. Shame the food was smothered and cooked in black pepper and dry and rock hard. Hate leaving bad review. But the fact the staff ignored and walked off was a shame and ignored our request! we didn’t receive what we ordered. Beautiful location just a shame on staffs lack of quality or respect for customers ! Walked away when I asked for help about pepper in/all over my food. Added pics so they can’t say we eat all the food and just complained. My partner is fine with black pepper hence why his plate is cleared!

Food was absolutely lovely! Hit the spot. On arrival it was quiet and cosy, the barman greeted us and directed us to a table immediately and the menu had a great selection. I got drinks at the bar which was added to the table bill and then returned to the bar to order food. We had the hunters chicken and a mixed grill, unfortunately the mixed grill was unavailable so decided on the ultimate beef burger instead and asked if fresh onion could be added to the burger, which they were happy to help with, boy was I glad I did! It was a beast! It arrived in no more than 15 minutes and was delicious. We also had a side of cheesy garlic bread and later on decided to get extra onion rings which also arrived very quickly meaning we could enjoy them with the meal. Overall it was a fab evening, we were originally turned away from a different restaurant due to being fully booked, however this turned out to be a blessing in disguise, not only did it cost less to come here, but the food and service was on point. We will definitely be trying here before the other restaurant in future. Thanks for a great evening all! I was too busy enjoying myself to take any pictures so will try and remember for next time 😊

After spending a truly lovely evening dining here I sit here with a full belly well and truly impressed with what a unique and lovely place this is. Such a very warm welcome amea our waitress couldn't do enough for us. As i confess i am a fussy eater and they cooked everything the way i like it.The management and all the staff need to take a bow. We'll done and thank you for the pleasure 👏👏

First appearance was fantastic, got shown to a table decided to go to the bar to order a drink and then found out there was an hour wait for food. As they have an outdoor play area we decided to order food and let the kids go play, upon arriving back to our table we noticed tables around us that had arrived after us had there food(not happy). We questioned this and our food promptly arrived, 3 roast dinners and all roast potatoes were black so had to get them replaced. The food was great otherwise but felt like a long afternoon, there was no manager front of house to deal with any problems but the member of staff we did deal with(Meg) was fantastic and dealt with the situation very well and even used her discount on our bill, she actually made us feel we could return even after the issues.

Haven't been here for a couple of years and in all fairness not much has changed. The park is basic and rundown. Other than that the interior is quite nice there's ample parking and and the quality of the food is great. High chairs are available for kids who require them. And the food and drink is reasonably priced considering it's Bridgend. Staff were friendly and nice a pity I couldn't say the same about my kids.

Tried to order a few choices but not available, so waited 45 minutes for soup. Then received very overcooked main meal. It was busy but not really an excuse.

Had a lovely meal for my friends birthday. They were changing over to a new menu so a few items weren’t available but the food that we had was delicious. The pub has a beautiful beer garden, which we enjoyed some sun and beers beforehand, and the staff were extremely friendly. Would highly recommend!

Simple is the best,better than all the rest. Lamb skewers is too oily for me,other rest was prefer cooking.Kid are enjoyed it. You should take off the barcode on the table,as we don’t know it “ No ” working.

We come here as it’s central to meeting my school friends, yesterday was the first time we have met up since COVID it was so nice to see each other the staff were very attentive and welcoming we’ve already pencilled in another date before Christmas to meet here. The food as always was lovely and good value for money.

Rated this as a 5 star Country Pub. Surprisingly just around the corner from a large shopping mall it is set in its own grounds with ample parking and well kept lawns.Inside the pub was a large bar area with log fire and large dining room.The menu is standard Pub grub which is what we wanted..The portions are large and the food delicious.The staff are well trained friendly and attentive which made our visit enjoyable.Definately coming back when next in the area.

Very nice pub, friendly staff member served us, really good fish and chips, lovely pint of San Miguel. Will come back especially driving home after a trip along the M4
