We stayed over a long weekend - it was brilliant! Recent redevelopments have really added to how family friendly it feels. Our caravan was spotless and very comfortable! Our 3 year old loved the entertainment in the evenings, the soft play and the new splash pad. The beaches in the area are beautiful and I would really recommend the local park run along porthcawl seafront if you stay over a weekend!

A proper old school family holiday resort. I had a good time. Some of the visitors were a bit rough but the park was very well run and beach and surrounding entertainments and town made it a really nice experience. Note:the ice cream kiosk selling 3 scoops for £7 made me depressed. Think about that, that's 3 children X 3 ice cream = £21 = You are over Charging

The holiday was great, there were a couple downsides.. The online booking system said that the paw patrol event was on at a specific time, so we booked. Only to turn up with an excited 3 year old and find it was a system mess up and it was for the hour before. Also, the pool is cold! Really cold.. You get used to it, but it really does need to be heated, the youngest didn't want to try swimming because of the cold, I don't blame her either. Outside of this, the food was great, the site was fantastic, ALL staff were friendly.. The accommodation was clean and exactly like the pictures. We will be coming back.

First time visiting Trecco Bay and it was fantastic! There's so much to do to keep everyone entertained. The park was clean and tidy. The caravan we stayed in was stunning and so close to the beach. We could see the sea from our decking and windows. The staff were all so friendly. The evening singer Gareth was amazing! He made my daughters last night and sang sweet caroline for her, as she requested. We really couldn't fault anything. Will definitely return!

Lovely resort for families, we've been afew time's, the new bit Fabulous!!!, but needed more staff in boat house restaurant service at bar slow, tables indoor and outdoor needed cleaning more quicker, so glass don't smash on floors were children are playing bear foot in play area. Sports bar needs to open before midday to help boat house, as I queued 45 minutes for a coffee. Toilets needed cleaning every half hour around resort, never any toilet rolls and floors needed mopping and bins needed emptying around resort more often for hygiene, flies and wasp too, but still enjoy our holiday. Possibly teething problems after refurbishment. X

Nice place for a family holiday. The caravan was lovely - great size, very clean and well equipped for a family stay. The holiday park was very clean, easy to get about and very polite and friendly staff. Some good activities for the kids, great shows every day for the younger ones. Only complaint was the state of the public toilets by the bowling alley, didn't see them looking clean once !! Very little to do outside of the holiday park as well.

The only reason we have given 2 stars instead of 1 is because the caravan & location facing Newton beach was fantastic (booked privately). Now the Parkdean park itself is very overpriced & although the pavillion is relatively new pretty run down. Toilets out of order all week, dirty tables, broken kiosks & arcade machines. All restaurants are very expensive & the food is mediocre at best. Only a few of the staff are smiling & friendly most of them are miserable & look like they don't want to work there & that reflects in there service. As we booked privately we had to purchase entertainment passes for £75 (2 adults & 1 child). This is a con and now I know why the woman serving me was adamant there is no refunds. The passes allow you to book swimming & activities but there is no availability and the girls in the hub are not helpful at all. When we did manage to go swimming via 'walk in' at certain times the heating pump was broken & the pool was freezing to the point everyone was dithering. Don't think we will be returning to Trecco or any other Parkdean resort in the future!

What a place. Kids loved it, we loved it and the dog loved it too. We have both teenagers and younger children that loved it. Staff are very very friendly and can't do enough to help. The park is very clean and I can't say that I saw a piece of litter on the floor anywhere. Staff where constantly cleaning and collecting from tables. Food on site was lovely especially the Indian restaurant, the food there was faultless. The splash pads provided hours of fun along with the park. The swimming pool was clean and run fairly. Litterally the only slightly bad point was the cost of alcohol, which to be fair we expected anyway. Also we saw a wrestling show which was amazing and a musical show. Trecco Bay we look forward to seeing you again.

Only been here 24 hours and it’s awful. We wish we never booked to stay at this site. I’m not sure how the other reviews are saying the site is clean, it is not. It’s disgusting. From the swimming pool, to the sports bar to the canopy entertainment area, it’s truly awful. Every parents are allowed to smoke even in none smoking areas, so you can imagine the smell and mess that leaves. The place smells dirty in every venue you go in. The arcade is horrendous, it’s really hot and smells of bad body odour. I could go on, but my rant won’t do itself justice. It’s by far the dirtiest and worst holiday park I’ve visited and we’re gutted we’ve spent a year looking forward to this, when the reality is shocking. Thankfully we booked a nice lodge and will be finding things to do off site, including eateries. As the facilities here you would want to avoid. Best way to describe it is, rush hour on the underground tubes in London, with the smell of bins, smoke and body odour thrown in. The site is way too small to handle the capacity this week. We also have a lodge with a broken washing machine, when reported they sent a repair guy who said we know it’s broken, it’s been broken a while, and waiting on a repair. Again shocking, had plenty of time to advise us before arriving, now we cannot wash our clothes or our child’s clothes or towels, which we planned to do so. There is no care or forward thinking here for the guests.

Drove to Beach road Porthcawl today for a mini adventure with family and found Trecco bay holiday park. After a long walk on the beach we needed the loo and popped into the resort park. After a look round we had lunch in the club house which was lovely and clean. We ordered two burgers and chips and two rainbow salads. The food was all very delicious and served timely. Could not fault anything at all. All the staff were friendly and helpful to us following Covid-19 guidelines and being attentive to the customers. The male waiter was kind and friendly and helpful. We then chose to go on the crazy golf course and for £6.00 each we spent a good hour in there. The male attendant was professional and courteous. Worth a go on a nice day. After that we went to the Scoops ice cream parlor and had some lovely ice cream and crepes. The staff there were really nice and friendly too. Overall we stumbled on a gold mine of a place and we were very grateful for the service and staff.

Just back from a long weekend here and I was totally impressed. The entertainment complex is central, clean and well maintained and lots to do. There is a great range of places to eat. The beach is beautiful. It's close to the town which also has lots to do and a beautiful clean beach. I will definitely return.

Has potential to be a lot better. Staff in some areas were obviously unskilled in customer service. Other areas very good. Statics need a good system for leaving as "ready". Ours ran out of electric the first morning while preparing breakfast! Entertainment staff were exceptional - kids loved them.

Great weekend spent at Trecco bay. Kids loved it and all the activities which were not badly priced. Booking was confusing i know this can be done online but we stayed at a private rented holiday caravan so no reference number to use. Plenty of restaurants to chose from too. My only grumble is the bins and toilets, bin around the caravan park were full and messy (probably from foxes) may need more regular stations or collections. There really were not many toilets around to use and were dirty (i know relies on user to use it appropriately, but i doubt a rota of checking the condition existed or was followed) also no toilets i found were sign posted so was a bit of a stumble upon one and remember where it is. Beach was great and clean with reliable lifeguards on duty. Would return and recommend

I have just spent 4 days here with my kids and I can say we had a great time. From the moment we arrived staff was on board with sparkle entertaining the check in line. So my kids got off to a great start. Check in was very swift and informative. Which I have been to some places where check in can take all day. The accommodation was great for the three of us. But a bit of attention to detail. There was pop corn and chocolate under one of the kids beds. And the shower flooded every time. Which was a shame because the rest of the accommodation was ok. The facilities was very good. We didn’t make use of all the activities due to the ages of the kids. But the swimming was great. Again the time limits work a treat just a shame you have to queue in the arcade. Also the small kids slide was closed for renovations. Which again was a shame. The food was good quality. Especially in the boat house. But the beer was a bit over priced. Nearly £6 a pint. The entertainment was top notch. The troupers do make the evenings very special. They are very talented and how they can do that day in and day out is a credit to their talent. Some of the shows we saw I would actually have paid to watch elsewhere. The only thing that ruins these places I would say is people who can’t control their kids or how much mess is created. I feel the staff have a lot to do, and throwing popcorn and drinks all over the place is just outrageous. However giving this i found the rest of the park pretty clean. Also the teenager gangs that hang around the place, they can be intimidating to young kids. And especially when you are training to get to the shops or takeaways, they just take pleasure in blocking the entrances. Security should be moving these guys on. I would come here again. It’s action packed. It’s family friendly. And not too far from the beach and local amenities. And again the entertainment was top notch. We made some great memories here and my kids didn’t want to leave. I feel Parkdean have upped their game with holidays and prices. Especially with the local competition. So hopefully we will see you again soon.

This place is amazing! The caravan was HUGE and beds were unbelievably comfy. It was completely spotless and had everything we needed and more in! The reception staff were so welcoming and helpful and the bar and entertainment staff were absolutely fantastic! There are 9 places to eat there so loads of choice! We had the fish and chips which were lovely and not expensive. The swimming pool was awesome too! Really pleased with this venue and staff, highly recommend!

Trecco bay is a lovely place for holiday. Right near the beach . There are loads of activities to do there. A big swimming pool and lovely park my daughter loved. All staff are nice but two stood out for us. AMELIA [ on activities] she was so nice and helpful, she help my daughter bounce on bungee ( she wanted to go high) . LUKE in the trouper entertainment was SIMPLY THE BEST !! He was so kind, energetic and funny. We will be back as my children loved it ❤️

Facilities are pretty good. General service is terrible. Rooms weren't clean and beds weren't made despite being part of the price we paid. Everything basically requires booking despite being told on the website it isn't necessary. You are made to wait while the non existent people who have booked don't show up and your kids get more restless before you can go in swimming for example and it's nowhere near capacity. Caravan would be nice if it was cleaned before we arrived.

Tired and shabby. Waited for over 2 hours for a meal which was not tasty. They need another restaurant instead of a burger bar.

Had a week here with three adults and four kids. Definitely a family friendly park. Good for the kids with splash area and play park. Plenty of food choices, Papa Johns, Burger King, Fish and Chips. A nisa shops helps, off-site and very short walk Co Op and Greg's. The beaches are very good. Calm seas and lovely sand with some rock pools. Paddle and Kayak hire. We didn't purchase the entertainment passes. Young kids started to peak and really glad we didn't. For seven of us it would have have been around £160.00. I know they had an X factor stars on but not our thing. Magram Park is worth a visit.

Overall I would recommend this place and we had a fantastic holiday there. Things I would like to see improved are: Some parts of the caravan were not cleaned to a high standard e.g. there were crumbs all down the creases of the sofa and some rubbish and earrings down the side of the sofa. The pictures showing what sort of caravan you are paying for are not accurate, the extra wide caravan we paid for looked nothing like the pictures and had much less space. When we questioned this, we were told "the pictures are for illustration purposes only" The entertainment was extremely loud and extremely busy, there was nowhere near enough room in there for the amount of caravans on the site. We had to spend 20 minutes waiting for seats the first time and didn't bother going back in again after that because it was always so loud and busy. All of that said, we still had a lovely time there and I would definitely stay there again but without the expectations that I had before we visited this time.

The mobile home was a sufficient size for 8 people. All the beds were extremely uncomfortable and under sheet cleaning left a bit to be desired. (Dirt and hairs) however the rest of the home was cleaned and tidy. Great place for taking pets. The play areas are great for children. Restrooms were clean and presentable. Great location for visiting the beach. Limited outdoor seating at the boathouse restaurant where most people wanted to be. The staff were really struggling with the orders. But we all had a great time even if we were abit stiff from.the beds

I don't even know where to start.. our experience from start to finish has been absolutely appalling and the issue still hasn't been resolved! Filthy caravan! Poor hygiene standards inside the caravan! ANT INFESTATION in the caravan and we were not informed about this until arrival! Lots of egg shell in my breakfast! No net curtains for privacy but there were hooks for the curtains to go on.. and the caravan was situated on a main road on the site! We paid for parkdean's top spec caravan and got this.. I dread to think what their lowest spec is like! Dreadful customer service from the reception staff & Management! Please see images attached to show the extent of the filth. This was not a holiday! We had no choice but to stay the first night as we had no where else to stay after arrival and it was late in the evening, we have 2 young children. We woke up the next day, handed in our keys and left to holiday elsewhere and we were still denied a refund! Still awaiting correspondence to our complaint 2 weeks later! DO NOT HOLIDAY HERE!!!

Not my fave holiday camp. But holidaying in the wake of a pandemic is not a great time to come here. Not when the vast majority of the things to do here are shut, even though the camp are still charging full price to be here, and they don't even offer any sort of compensation, voucher or rebate for future visits (not that I would take them up on that probably). Basically it felt like Parkdeans attitude was "things are not open, get over it"

Within walking distance of Porthcawl town and Porthcawl's various beaches, however this is really the only good thing about Trecco Bay. The last two times we hired a caravan neither caravan had been cleaned. Most recently, our latest caravan had crumbs on the floor and worktops, a broken shower (which was reported by house keeping but never fixed all week), toothpaste in the sink, uncleaned toilets, no toilet roll and bed linen left on the bed from previous occupants!! The caravan park is far too expensive for what it is. We paid almost £5 for a single Jack Daniels and Coke, and £4.80 for a pint of Carling. We mainly bought food from the co-op outside as the onsite prices were too steep.

Trecco Bay is truly an amazing place to be. We go almost every the sence of security on park and the choice of entertainment and fun activities to take part in are second to none. Trecco Bay have always been very good to us from the day we make the booking right down to our last day on site. We have been going for about 11 years and still there are things we haven't done yet like crazy golf never done it yet always wanted to just there isn't enough time in a week to do everything.

Worst park in Wales the reason why is because some of there facilities are poor. They treated my Nan and my family like a rubbish when her husband passed away from cancer in the caravan there back in 2010 most of the staff were unfriendly and unprofessional plus they used my Nan because her head was in a right state and she didn't know what she was doing she bought another caravan and Park Dean bought it straight back off of her for 15k less than what she paid. I know they are not a charity but considering the affect it had on her the family and the rest of the people on that day her husband died on the 4th of July they should have given the money back and being a bit more friendly to her. They are also extremely expensive. Plus some staff are very condescending when they talk to you.

Was given keys to our caravan that hadn’t been cleaned by the previous people and when going back to reception and telling them we were told to just wait and they would ‘send a supervisor’. Even after it had been cleaned we had to call cleaners back as it was still disgusting and still no supervisor came. Was then left rushing to get to the evening show as we couldn’t get in to our caravan so ruined our first night. The ant problem is worse than they make out literally hundreds all over the caravan. Couldn’t sit in the lounge as had ants crawling all over us and then couldn’t sleep as every now and then we could feel them. For the Nickelodeon weekend the entertainment was basic at best and repetitive, same performances/activities both days so kids were bored. Was meant to stay until Monday but we left Sunday due to being so underwhelmed. Shame as we have visited a few times and always enjoyed. Place seems to have lost its spark.

Been plenty of times before and has been great this time, barely any food or drinks in the bar no active cleaner cleaning amusements. And one in one out on entertainment (should have been able to book the evening table ahead of time) caravan was dirty and smelt of stale smoke fingers crossed was just a bad experience. But won't go back, already booked elsewhere next year.

This is the second time visiting trecco Bay. The first experience was not great however this time it has been much better. Starting with the positives the entertainment is great for the kids, there is plenty to do in and around the park. The caravan it self was nice with a decent sized TV, and held heat very well in the cold weather. The staff have been very friendly and helpful. The beach is lovely and if you walk around you can see some great views. However there were also a few negatives, a few cosmetic issues with the caravan such as things being taped up as it has been broke, it didn't really effect us. There was a lot of rubbish being blown around the site. Then lastly the price, the food on site was quite expensive and then the drinks at the entertainment were silly priced. Overall the holiday has been good and we have enjoyed it, we ended up buying are own drinks to have in the caravan and not going to the entertainment as the price put us off. We have done plenty and enjoyed the day time entertainment and visiting the arcades.

Great place to bring your family. Lots of things to do with your children. It's a very big place. Our caravan was very clean and well equipped but a tight space for the toilets. Do bring towels and cleaning equipment with you. WiFi not the best

Although at the moment you can't order food they were great at letting us bring stuff in for the kids and really enjoyed the free welsh wrestling show. The arcades clean and tidy and also well managed. It would be nice if the activities were open to the outline to not just those on holiday. I'd happily pay more than those staying as a holiday if this was an option. X

Home away from home... Trecco Bay why would I consider a return in the near future????? I'm an owner which you should already know...but that doesn't surprise me to be honest as you can even let owners know what's going on at the park yet friends who have stayed there have received emails of the things going on involving owners. I think as a NEW OWNER you would be pushing the boat out there to make your new owners feel welcome

We went to Trecco Bay on an all Family holiday. From the go, the staff were amazing, helpful, and friendly. We were checked in by Ceri, who was a star. As for the park itself, it's a decent one. The location is good, and you're about a 5-10min walk down to the beach depending upon where you're staying. A big letdown was the actual activities as a lot of them are like a tick box. The basketball court is one where you'd be lucky to play basketball as it was mostly full of kids playing football. The swimming was a letdown as our booked slots got cancelled on the day due to maintenance, and we got a call a few hours before that happened. The bowling lanes were, best put, knackered. You can tell that this park has seen better days a few years ago and is now really run down. The staff, however, was amazing. Would I go back? I'm not sure. Our accommodations were really good. The cabins were clean and well maintained. Overall, 6 out of 10 for this one.

Generally good but let down by staff. Don't bother ordering food/drinks via the app because some items turn out to be unavailable. On one occasion, I ordered coffee & apparently the machine had broken (lie). I ended up disputing the payment with my bank because Trecco failed to refund/acknowledge it? Also, there is virtually nothing to do on site after 10pm as everything closes. Food & drink prices are very high considering the location and venue.

I frequently take the kids there and have done so for years. it's the perfect place for a family holiday. The beaches are great and they have restaurants as well as an arcade, old school fairground games and bowling as well as a swimming pool and climbing place. Love it.

  • 3/5 Tomas D. 1 year ago on Google
Park has loads and loads of family activity and entertainment so I can’t knock the park for that. Most food places were great however, the boat house. Clearly no one knows what they are doing staff walking around aimlessly not knowing what to do. No point having a order to table service when your staff have no idea where the tables are. Almost an hour wait for a breakfast and took 10 minutes just to get a Pepsi to the table. Unfortunately there’s no other place on the park for pub food so you’re stuck to this poor service food. Food when arrived was actually good but to be honest you’re so hungry from waiting so long you’ll eat anything.

Fabulous the changes that have been made are great. The only thing we found difficult was bingo due to noise levels when your sat on tables by the disabled toilet or the upper balcony the opposite side its difficult to hear. The entertainment was great the musical show was amazing wow can Sofie and Amy sing amazing talent there Our lodge Pines 29 was absolutely beautiful great view so warm and quiet and very spacious Overall the holiday was 5 star thank you for making great memories The Botts

Our first time using Park Dean, won't be bothering again. Advised friends not to bother booking with them. Spent our holiday 4 day break to tired to do anything. The park was somewhat clean, caravan was dirty. Had to clean it properly before my holiday started. The children enjoyed the arcade, some of the Christmas bookings they had were a bit naff. The food at the boathouse amazing! The panto was really good. But what let it down more than anything was the some holiday makers there, partying until 3am no matter how many times we reported it still kept happening. And the rascim I witnessed for my neighbours who were staying there. From other holiday makers. Witnessed and reported. So nope not a good experience, reported and offered 25% discount. And to be honest just isn't good enough. Won't be taking any offers to stay at park dean again. I really do not recommend Park Dean! My views and opinion only!

Fantastic site with great facilities and lots to do. The splash park needed some fixing and work done on it but the kids still loved it. Lots of variety of places to buy food and everything reasonably priced. The beach is very close and lovely. We had an absolutely amazing time!!

Came here on holiday with a group of friends. We got a caravan designed for 8 people for our group of 6. To begin with, check-in was very simple and Ceri at reception was very helpful in giving us all the info we needed. Next the caravan was ok, although upon arrival we realised that the freezer was still full of random food and we only had 4 chairs for the 6 of us which was a bit odd, but we reported it back to the staff and it was all sorted in great haste and with continued warmth from all the staff. The beach practically on site is what makes this a great location and porthcawl right down the road is nice enough. Although we liked the location due to it being close to several other great places to visit, like Cardiff and Swansea and Dunraven bay which is a great place to visit. Ogmore nearby is also great too. The onsite facilities were also very good from the activities centre, to the pool, the arcade, to the minigolf - every member of staff we interacted with was incredibly helpful and kind. The ice cream parlour and chip shop on site were also very nice even if a little pricey. I'd say the only downsides to this park are the other guests in the park, mainly the ones who own caravans rather than other fellow holiday goers there for a short period like my group. We had a neighbouring caravan who were incredibly noisy and left disgusting litter everywhere around our caravans, which we reported to staff who were very helpful about it all and there was an incident where another guest was targeting drivers with a laser pointer which we immediately reported to staff too - Emma at reception was incredibly helpful surrounding that, and directed us to the site security team who were also very very helpful and on it with the incident. Emma also was great on our check out day too . Overall would highly recommend this park for the area and staff and accommodation, just be warned that some of the other guests may be a pain to be in the vicinity of . An additional point to add that locally there are some great takeaways should you want Chinese or fish n chips .

We always love coming here, I can park the car and leave it by the caravan as everything is within walking distance, food on site is a bit pricey, but no different to any other holiday site. Sunsets on the beach, if you can catch them, are beautiful.

Had an amazing weekend away. We stayed in Sycamore 4 which is a 4 bedroom van very close to the entertainment. I gave 4 stars as after having unpacked we realised all the seating was wet so had to spend the first 2 hours of our holiday drying the seats. They did send us up 3 sheets to cover them but we dried them with the hair dryer. Caravan was in a fab location it was a bit tired though possibly used for pets judging by the stained seating (we didn't take a pet). I had packed throws so just put those over the sofas. Bedrooms were fine as were the bathrooms and the kitchen. We did have a lovely time though, the food and entertainment was great.

This is one of the best Parkdean holiday parks we've been to so far, there's so much to do. The entertainment is number 1 and the troopers were absolutely brilliant, customer service is very good as well, would definitely recommend and go back there. The park was spotless with litter pickers out every morning keeping the park clean. The bus comes in at certain times so you don't have to drive to town, we had a brilliant time here and the caravan was lovely. Excellent holiday park. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

The best Park Dean site. Pool was warm. Access to beach is brilliant.. Wide variety of food and activities on site. Amazing activities/attractions within an hours drive.. (and even further Pembrey country park)

Absolutely amazing weekend stay. We went for the celebrity weekend and loved every minute of it. Can't wait to go again. The troupers were superb and really entertained us. Thank you

No social distancing at all with the Holiday visitors! Porthcawl will be put into lockdown soon with a large outbreak of Corvid19. Sad because local people have tried so hard to keep virus down.

Over all we had a great holiday considering the Covid situation. Our caravan wasnt as clean as I would have liked. We actually had to clean when we arrived as there was still alot of dust. We had to book the swimming and the receptionist messed up meaning that some of us had to miss out, but the kids had plenty to keep them entertained. Probably wont return but we did have a good week.

Plenty of things to do for the kids+adults rather expensive specially during the summer months. The chip shop is also expensive and they ain’t really chips, if you want a decent bag of chips a walk to down town is not far away. There’s a fair a short walk away and the Chinese in town delivers food to your caravan. Also a beach a short distance away from the site. Firework display during the summer holidays

(Translated by Google) Hello. I am not a sticky person, I really try not to whine or complain. We have been to many parks and seen a lot and never wrote a negative review, but what is happening in this park now exceeded my wildest expectations. We rented the hearse for not a little money and we really do not expect a 5-star witness, but now no care for the guest, the dishes are dirty, the caravan is dirty, the tops are sticky, there are no basic things to cook or even to prepare a regular pizza, the boys' curtain in the room is cut into shreds , the windows are hard to open and close, you have to push it properly so that it works great for Parkdean, and the best thing is that if you want to get to the pool, there is no such option because everything is already booked at least a few days ahead, we are here from Monday and every day same, and today we were told that they rented all the caravans and there is not enough space for everyone to use the pool, I really understand the times we live in now, but I do not understand that we are all paid for the lanes and we can not use anything. In the restaurant, we also had a situation that we wanted to eat dinner with the children and it turned out that we had to wait 2 hours for a table poorly. We had beautiful weather, we used the beach and nearby attractions, but people who come here in bad weather will have to sit in the caravan because they will not get to the pool. I understand that money is important now to get everything back on its feet, but I don't think it should be at the expense of the guest. I greet everyone (Original) Witam. Pozdrawiam wszystkich

Returned this year for another enjoyable holiday. Only to have one disappointment, went to use the laundrette at 8.45pm as it was still open.Only to find that all machines are token operated, which you can only get from reception. But reception was closed. So what is the point of it being open? surely there should be some way to get tokens if the laundrette is open.

No organisation tried to book to go swimming there system is down to book told to go back tomorrow at 9am to see if we can book for that day no guarantee they do not limit how many times you can book but only so many places each session so by the looks of it might not get to go in the swimming pool need to limit it queued for the restaurant and bar to be told no tables for us and if we get in there is a hour half wait for food caravan smelt of damp dog went to play bowling told to come back in half an hour to see if there was a place could not book it while we were there was telling other guests the same come back in half an hour not enough lanes for all the guests they were telling the organisation is awful I know we are in a worrying and difficult time but the place is fully booked so it can not offer all the facilities to everyone but most places are doing a reduced capacity so guests still get the facilities these caravan holiday are quite expensive

Great location and park is well maintained. Disappointed that not all facilities are open. We booked our trip 12 months ago and paid a lot of money and were picked this park as it boasted great facilities on its web site. I fully understand that covid has affected everywhere but feel to compensate we should have been offered a part refund or that they should have upgraded our accommodation. I emailed the team before we arrived and have heard nothing back in relation to this. The caravan is in a good location but is run down inside. There are marks/stains on the sofas, the curtains are barley hanging on by two or 3 hooks, there are more than half the stones missing from the fire I'm the living room, there was bird poo stained of the outside of the windows that had been there for a while, I would say days before we arrived and this is a caravan for 8 but there isn't enough storage for 5 of us. We will revisit the park but will look to book privately as I have looked into this and you can get better accommodation for around the same price. We paid £800 for this holiday and I feel it was worth half that at best.

Clean and tidy resort and the staff have been very quick to respond to any issues we had with our caravan. Good facilities and a 20 minute walk into Porthcawl. Only negative point is that the caravans are packed a little closer together than many other parks and it can get a little noisy at times.

Have stayed here a few times and most of the time it's been brilliant. Always lots to do weather it's swimming, bowling, the park or the indoor playarea. The entertainment in the evenings is always been good and the troopers made the holidays everytime for use. Last time we stayed our van was not clean at all and stunk of pee though out when we went to complain they did send someone to clean the carpet but we had wait in the van for over half the day for them show up. I would go back again to try it as all the other aspects of the hoiladay are good. The takeaway places are good to eat and food in the club is lovely.

I've come here several years in a row now, and the quality's gone straight downhill. Last year, I had a decent sized caravan, everything I needed like frying pans, and comfy beds. This year, it was way more expensive, caravan was smaller, all of my family's caravans were missing stuff like pots, pans etc, cleaning was terrible, caravans that were supposed to be pet free had dog hair everywhere. In terms of the local area, things have gone downhill as well. Last year, Porthcawl was clean and Coney Park was free to enter. This year, I got to enjoy the sight of a dog eating out of an overflowing bin in the middle of the packed beachfront. Also, Coney Park costs £5 to get in, and you get ten tokens that you have to use if you don't want to waste money, even if you don't find anything of interest (not that theres much there anyway, since most of the stalls are shut). Also, there's barely any toilets around, with the Coney Park toilets costing money to get into (if they're open, which is rare). All in all, I used to love this place, but it's gone downhill so fast that I can't recommend it anymore. EDIT: Queues are also terrible. The food is acceptable from my experiences, but I've seen people complaining about the food being cold, oversalted, containing hairs etc. Arcades are pretty dull, mostly filled with chavs. The tickets that you receive from most machines can be redeemed for prizes, but unless you're either staying for a very long time or insanely lucky, you won't get anything more than a pencil, because the amount of tickets needed to buy prizes is ridiculous. Never tried the bowling. There's only four pool tables in the whole complex, so expect to wait. Entertainment venue is focused on kids, and is of decent quality from what I've seen. Overall price is far too high considering what we've got.

Love this place! We've been going for years and always love it. Personally, it is my favorite caravan park that I have been to so far. Staff are so friendly and interact with holidaymakers really well. Entertainment is stunning, one of the best I've seen. Great shops on site and a co-op right around the corner. Lovely beaches. We did have to travel a bit to get to other places but still loved it. Swimming Pool has great facilities. Would recommend this park to anyone. Loved it!

Love porthcawl anyway, only thing is not all activities are available due to covid 19, in which case I think these parks should refund some of your money, especially if you have paid alot for caravan, I know its not their fault but it's not ours either,

We had a lovely 3 night stay. The van and park were immaculate, the activities on offer were great, although all needed extra funding except the pool and the Boathouse and Indian restaurant were fantastic. The kids have loved every second. The pool was colder as there was a fault which seems to be a trend at Feb half term but once in it was fine. Sunday has different shows on offer and timings so don’t be caught out.

Sadly we had a number of issues during our stay which meant that it wasn’t as enjoyable as we had hoped. We paid for early check in and were put in a van which smelt terrible. On complaint we were told that the cleaners had commented on how bad the van smelt and had ‘sprayed air freshener’. We asked to move vans and we’re told there were none so an ‘ozone’ was let off in the van meaning we couldn’t enter for an hour. It still smelt after this so we were eventually given some vouchers as compensation. The pool heater was broken meaning the swimming pool was freezing and not pleasant to swim in. We booked soft play for our children and the info button on the booking app didn’t work so we weren’t aware of the height limit until we got there meaning our children were disappointed and we had to chase a refund for the activity. Our friends also booked their children onto the talent show only to receive a phone call half an hour before the rehearsal saying that the show wasn’t til Easter and they shouldn’t have been able to book it. Their son has additional needs and was incredibly disappointed by this news resulting in him running off, this understandably had an incredibly negative impact on their holiday as a family and us as a group. We also spent some time in the sports bar and were disappointed to find that the interactive darts weren’t working and that there were several leaks on the ceiling with water dripping through. We did enjoy the entertainment, plenty to do for the children and staff were very helpful. The food and service in all the restaurants were superb, we’re very sad to have had so many negative experiences affect what could have been an enjoyable holiday.

😠 Worst campsite we’ve ever stayed at. Booked a pitch with electric and water hookups but weren’t told there isn’t any water hookups on site. Rubbish everywhere, nobody on site if there is a problem. Toilets and shower block only cleaned once a day therefore disgusting. Would never stay here again!!!...
