Cannot praise this place enough! It’s a small, cosily decorated restaurant with a small & perfectly executed menu. Both food & service are great; think this is the best food I’ve had since living in Wales with friendly, accommodating & attentive staff. Without doubt will be back & I cannot wait for my next visit.

We found the Black Rabbit completely by chance on google maps and omg one of my best finds ever. We are proper foodies and are always the first to complain if food or service is not up to standard, however The Black Rabbit is absolutely amazing. We both had the cheese souffle to start which was good sized and depth of flavour we expect at Michelin starred restaurants. Absolutely triumph. For our mains I went with spring lamb the good lady went with pork loin both plates of food were excellent choices hearty food great produce sauces to die for. puddings were a must just to see if the standard could be maintained. I went for the apple toffee cheese cake which was sumptuous just the right balance of sticky apple toffee sauce and wow cheese cake. I cant speak about the choc mousse the wife had but can confirm the wide smile shes wearing says it all. If you are in the area on holiday as we are dont miss this treat. This chef is a hidden Welsh gem. Great service awesome food

Before management come back and say why didn’t we bring any of this to their attention, we did. We didn’t get so much as a “we are sorry you aren’t happy” from them. The food, albeit lovely, was absolutely extortionate. They are trying a new menu on Wednesday/Thursdays consisting of “small plates” and even though you expect tapas size dishes, you don’t expect to pay £10 for a hash brown. £15 for a tiny little pita with the smallest amount of lamb on. The sausages were £10 and when I say they were the size of my little finger I’m not exaggerating. Working out at £2 a sausage. Had we had some kind of explanation or even contact from the kitchen/management- we may not be leaving this review. But I genuinely do feel sorry for anyone going here and having such little food for extortionate prices. Your money would go further in Mayfair. Please see size reference of the fork, for accurate sizing of the £10 hash brown. Absolutely shocking. Will never return.

Dined as a table of 5. Wonderful evening, food was truly superb. Basic, but very reasonably priced wine list. Inventive menu with all guests being impressed with he flavour combinations and standard of food. Service would best be described as wholesome - didn't match the standard of food, and the atmosphere but we have absolutely no complaints. Would recommend, and definitely will go back.

Went for lunch with my sister and friend to celebrate my sisters Birthday. The wine menu was reasonably priced, the menu though limited had something for all of us. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The desserts were amazing, particularly the sticky toffee pudding! Aimee our waitress was so friendly and couldn't do enough. She also had a lovely sense of humour. The only downside was the resteraunt was so cold. Despite being sat next to a small radiator, it was lukewarm and not giving out any heat. We did ask if the heating could be turned up but it wasn't. Would recommend and return but maybe in the summer!

Amazing find as we visited area for a birthday party. Small intimate venue, with plenty of parking and great staff. Real fireplace makes it more cosy. Good choice of starters, mains and dessert. For starters, I opted for firecracker scampi, which was crispy with plenty of fiery sauce. For main I went for beef which had a lovely rich flavour and dessert was a lovely warm gooey brownie. Highly recommend if you are in this area

Exceptionally flavoursome food. Amy, our waitress, was so friendly and attentive. Every dining out experience box ticked, with the exception of the heating. The room was so cold. Our request to turn on the radiator made now difference. Such a shame, took the shine off the overall experience.

A hidden gem and probably the best pub/restaurant I’ve eaten ate in a long time. The food far exceeded expectation and the service was impeccable, we were served by the manageress who couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend.
