I often visit this Home Bargains without any issue, as all the staff are usually very friendly, especially the old manager (with pink hair) I’ve noticed the new manager Jameel (I made sure to catch his nametag) in the past weeks and have found him very obnoxious, and quite rude, even glaring at me and barging my sister and I out of the way the other day without so much as an apology. Today when I went in he spent a whole hour lounging on the till (not serving anyone) and talking to a group of young girls (who were not apart of the staff). The shop was rather busy at this time with queues piling up, while he sat and did nothing but socialise. I will be avoiding the shop due to this behaviour: it is an unacceptable way to treat customers.

Great place to shop good prices and got everything.

Huge store with plenty of choice on the shelves. Some bargains to be had. Loads of free parking. Staff very helpful.

Best price on Whiskas, have to walk directly to them and then the tills! Too many other affordable stock items to stop and look.

Nice store where you can get all the supermarket stuff at a cheaper price.

Good store overall, however there always seems to be one checkout open whilst the queues are backing up. And they could do with making the car park bigger. It's horrendous trying to park in there and that's not even on a weekend.

Good selection, always get my household items here. If you know your prices you can shop here much cheaper than supermarkets. Parking is good, like going later in the evening not as busy.

The newly refurbished one in Upper Boat has a very unfortunate layout! Stairs where you get the trolleys!!! The front entrance is very awkward, also they never have my favourite shower gel anymore! Dead Sea Men’s 3 in 1 .

Love it here, sell absolutely thousands of items. Quite a new store in Bridgend, its huge. I like the seasonal ranges.

Who doesn't love Home Bargains. There's a lot of choice of reasonable priced items. The staff are efficient, especially when it's busy. I've taken a star as they have a lot of check outs but only 2 open , so I had to wait quite a while to be served.

Lovely big store. Ample parking. Very close to Tesco, so one trip covers it all. Home bargains variety and prices are very good. Like any supermarket, they do lots of Christmas and Easter stuff too, and have home furnishings, beauty, as well as lots of grocery items and refrigerated items. Home bargains do beautiful birthday and occasion cards and lovely gift bags, at a price much more reasonable compared to some other big stores. They have good price storage boxes, and good quality. Home furnishings are reasonably priced too, and very nice.

I love this place. There is always a wide selection of cleaning products, hair and personal care products. Kitchenware, DIY, garden, car maintenance, groceries and my personal favourites, decor items. Very high quality and versatile and often exclusive. What's not to love 😍

Who doesn't love Home Bargains !!! This one is relatively new and is well laid out. The parking is awful, it is a complete bottle neck to get in and out. I don't know why they didn't resolve this when the rebuilt the store and carpark. The shop is laid out in clear sections and the staff are always re stocking the shelves so have never seen items missing from the shelves. Prices are reasonable and the often have items marked down. They have more fresh and frozen produce than I have seen in other stores so can get quite a lot of your food shop done if you want. The fresh produce is more expensive though than the Lidl and Tesco over the road. They have lots of plants available at the front of the store that also seen reasonably priced. Staff are friendly at the tills and chatty. There are no public toilets but if you ask you can use the staff toilet, they have to get a key to let you in. Finding it is easy the A48 in either direction will lead you to it. Be warned if you are heading there on a weekend it can be chaos getting to. There are so many shops and a Mc Donald's in such a small area that the small roundabouts cannot handle the sheer amount of traffic and there can be quite long delays getting in and out. We tend to go during the week when it's much quieter.

Parking was hard to find . Not enough spaces .Staff are always helpful and happy to check stock if not out on display . I have phoned twice to check items in stock and stagg were lovely .

This home bargains is a brand new shop and is massive. The store is clean and tidy and plenty of room to get around without knocking into people. It sells most of what you could want from toiletries, food to Xmas and garden and pet. The checkouts are quick and friendly and parking is easy enough. A great store that is new and modern. Remember a £1 for the trolley.
