Always get amazing customer care here. The food is amazing and the workers are always so friendly! They’re spotless too! My partner and I come here a lot and this one server always recognises us. She is literally a legend! 10/10 would recommend coming here! :)

Visited 25/7/22 as it was my birthday. Thought I’d give it another chance after not going for over a year due to skimpy meat portions. Unfortunately, I found the same still applied. Barely any meat given. My 70 year old mum asked for more, and she doesn’t eat much. My son ordered the XL meal & paid extra for the displeasure of still not enough meat. He wasn’t offered any sausages which are meant to come with it. We complained about the meat portions to the waitress, who kindly got us more. But it wasn’t enough for a sandwich, which had to be shared between 4 people. I feel that my meal was given begrudgingly although I’m paying for it. Don’t think I’ll go again. There are far better carvery’s in the area. I’d give the waitress 10 stars for service ( and I tipped her). But I’d give the carver 0 stars. The vegetables were hot and tasty. But ruined by the lack of meat

Stunning,hot,fresh food. Didn't book a table but managed to get one for 3 of us. Beautiful gammon and parsley sauce. Staff were friendly and always about, wiping things down, etc. Clean. Excellent prices.

On route for holidays.so decided to stop for food and we have 2 children under 5. Very accommodating had a seat straight away. With high chair quick to follow. Drinks came quickly. Staff were lovely with the kids made us feel very comfortable and welcome in busy environment. Will be Visiting again.

Always a warm welcome here, staff are great food is delicious, our plates are empty and so are our sweet dishes .

Shown to my seat by a very polite and friendly waitress. She asked what I would like to drink and offered to bring it to my table. Myself and guest then went up to get our carvery. Carver also very friendly. Food was lovely and the same waitress came over to ask how our food was and offered to refresh our drinks and brought over to us. A very pleasant evening, great food and service. Thank you 😊

Really good food, the staff were kind

Visited last month food was terrible cold veg and gravy meat very dry. Have noticed over the last few years it's not been up to scratch compared to other Tobys a few miles away. Will ve driving a little further in the future to get a decent carvery.

The staff here are very attentive and polite. When we arrived, we were given options on where we would like to sit and was greeted very quickly by the waitress for our drinks order. We had the Carvery and it was OK. I'm not sure why they had macaroni & cheese instead of cauliflower cheese as its not a combination I've considered with a roast dinner before. The roast potatoes were very crispy and the rest of the veg standard. I would welcome broccoli and roast parsnips, which were not on offer during our visit. The desserts were nicely presented and delicious. The experience was very enjoyable and I will definitely go there again, so I recommend it to anyone who fancies a roast but doesn't want the clearing up after!

Just had a great breakfast and loved it all. Food was cooked well and very fresh. The lady in charge was super friendly and helpful as were all the staff. Very impressed.

We have visited Toby carvery many times. Good value and excellent quality. Staff are very kind and go beyond to help you. Amazing food Amazing quality, Amazing value. Always clean. Staff are so very busy but I think they do a fantastic job 👏. Thank you so much. We'll definitely be back for more. I can't praise them enough.

The staff were great as was the cleanliness. Food was very tasty. I was surprised how little meat was plated from the cuts we chose. There was plenty to cut from the 4 joints but very little put on our plates. Also, very little cheese sauce or taste with the Cauliflower Cheese.

Just ordered a delivery of a carvery and upon opening I found the chef had spread mashed potato over all the other veg already in the carton, instead of it being separated. Now I have to "clean" the other veg so my child will eat it.. not everyone wants mash over everything.. other than that it was OK. Delivered in a reasonable time.

3 of us turned up on the off chance on Sunday. Although it was already very busy we were found a table quickly. Excellent attentive staff and lovely food. The turn around of tables was excellent with no pressure on anyone and everyone in the restaurant seemed very happy. Beautifully decorated too

Very hot inside, cramped seating and long queues! We had to queue to get in and queue for a while to get to the carvery. If you can’t stand for long in the heat, avoid! Staff were friendly, helpful but clearly stressed. They were out of redbull and the soda dispenser ran out of Pepsi. Vegan mushroom ale pie was lovely however labelling on the vegetables section was nonexistent. Had to ask a staff what options were vegan- vegetable oil roasted potatoes, carrots,peas, onions in gravy and mash. Mash and roasties weren’t seasoned and bland, not crispy. Veg was over cooked. Onions in gravy were pleasant. The carvery area was messy and some items were contaminated with non-vegan foods. Condiments and gravy section was poorly labelled as well. Overall, avoid on a Sunday and hope for the best mid week? Surely there’s better elsewhere….

The meat was good. I had beef and ham. The Yorkshire puddings were hard and inedible. The dumplings were dry inside. The roast potatoes flavor was excellent but their consistency was mush. All other veg were good. Pudding was very good. I had crumble.

Our server was great unfortunately we didn't catch his name but while we were in the bathroom another server came over and cleared our table of drinks and food we hadn't finished. It was a father's day treat from my children to their dad and I wasn't present otherwise I would of complained. They ended up going somewhere else for a dessert

Me and my 90 year old grandfather had a wonderful first time experience here today! The female waitress was so so friendly and lovely to my grandfather and the experience really made his day! I've have to say, you waitress went above and beyond for us, helping my grandfather to serve his food, carrying his plate and helping him to the table! It's honestly such a breath of fresh air to go to a restaurant that is so compassionate and understanding of older people with dementia! Thank you so much!!!! Hopefully this will get passed on directly, I can't remember her name but she was blonde and originally from Milford Haven.

Disappointed by today's dining experience. Meat on the carvery was fatty, veg chewy. Kids meal was disgusting daughter wouldn't eat any of it apart from the peas. Then Was overcharged on the bill also. One of the members of staff completely over the top, wouldn't leave us alone when eating food and just too much. Won't be returning again. Not worth the money that was charged. Best thing about the meal was the refillable soft drinks apart from that completely disappointed. 10/09/23

Been here a couple of times over the years. This visit after a quite a while we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly and helpful. The car park was almost full on arrival & we had to sit in the Bar with no waitress service. We all had the carvery & the only criticism would be the small selection of vegetables. We all had a dessert & they were good VFM. We would return if in the area again.

The food was freshly cooked from scratch and delicious, and the staff warm and friendly. I was also thrilled to use my birthday voucher and celebrated with a friend whose birthday it was that day and he was also very impressed. We will definitely be coming back.

Called in without making an advanced booking. Able to have a table straight away. Our server was MALIKA. She was helpful and polite. Nothing seemed too much trouble for her. Would highly recommend this place. Will definitely go back again.

Just left there after a lovely family meal for my granddaughters 14th Birthday. We've all had a fab time and the food was delicious. A big shout out to amazing staff, especially the lovely lady who dealt with our table. Also the chefs who run things like a well piled machine. Thank you everyone.

First time of going to the Toby Carvery at Bridgend. Must say that the selection of meats and vegetables were perfect. All meats were tender and tasty and the large selection of vegetables were cooked to perfection. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Will certainly visit again very soon.

Dined here Wednesday 23rd as I wanted to treat my little sister to a cavery after school so we arrived and was greeted quickly and kindly, and the door hostess was lovely enough to adhere to my special request so my party of 3 was even happier when seated. We were sat around 5 minutes when a waitress rushed past us whilst carrying a load of plates so was clearly on her way to the kitchen but stopped in her tracks to ask us if we wanted any drinks so we appreciated that she stopped but it quickly turned sour when she spoke to us with attitude. I asked for my drink and a couple of glasses which she rudely responded to me “I don’t give glasses for drinks you brought in” so that was awful straight away. I understand if this is the case but letting me know in a better manner would’ve much more gracious and appreciated but no. After this interaction, my mood & the atmosphere on the table was terrible for the rest of the remaining time we were there. 10/10’s for the carvery and dessert though! My little sister really did enjoy her treat as did me and my partner. Thank you Toby Cavery, Bridgend!

We had a lovely welcoming waitress, i wish i knew her name. She was brilliant. Food was great and thankfully it wasn't too busy. I think we chose a good time because we had been to the cinema and went quite late but we really enjoyed our meal

I appreciate that it was extremely busy but one of the chefs on the meat section was very rude. He was also extremely rude to the people in front of me about having their drinks in their hands. I proceeded to say hello and I got no response, I asked him for particular meat I wanted. After telling him he looked at me as if to say sorry I’m busy and walked off. His colleague then proceeded to serve me. I feel personally target as he came back and served my partner. I would have appreciated if he could have just said can you give me 2 moments and I’ll be back with you. Instead I was just confronted with an extreme level of rudeness and I’m sure the customers in front would agree also. In my opinion this tarnished my experience today as I was rather upset at how rude he was and how targeted I felt. I now feel that if I I was to visit again and see him serving, I would walk out and find somewhere else to go. I’m a little disappointed as I regularly visit bridgend and have never had an issue like this before.

Based on a breakfast experience. The service was fab and the staff were lovely. But there is no continental breakfast , or scrambled eggs the coffee and orange juice is payed for separately for the price payed for a breakfast I would expect that to be included. The fried eggs were really greasy and you had to dig deep to find a decent one.

Popped in for lunch today, the food & service from Nia was excellent. Had some good humoured banter with the chefs on the line also. I would highly recommend trying here, the place was very busy but nothing took to long. We will 100% be coming back here & it’s definitely the nicest Toby we’ve been to.

We really enjoyed our visit. Nia was very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. Atmosphere was relaxing. Toilets were nice too. Looked new. I would recommend and would definitely return. Thank you!

Wonderful food and INCREDIBLE service from Nia, she has such a wonderful manner & demeanour and was so pleasant & polite. The place was clean, tidy, well presented, nice atmosphere, adequate and pleasant staff. The only draw back is it was way too warm for customers and staff, with the air-con barely noticeable. The heat got to me quickly and we ended up giving up after a short stay and putting a good 70% of our meal into takeaway cartons. This is a huge pity as we could have just ordered takeaway- the company need to sort the air-con as I’m sure customers would appreciate it hugely. Obviously I would be disinclined to eat again if the heat is going to make me ill as it did; although eating in the evening would be something I would consider.

This was your average Toby carvery. The food was tasty and the staff were kind and helpful. We booked a table in advance because it is quite busy. It was very hot in the restaurant, almost too hot to enjoy your food. There is wheelchair parking here and if you require a doggy bag or take away box they will provide this. This place offers food on the too good to go app and does take away options as well. We had drinks as well, because it was very warm they ended heating up very quickly. All in all good experience though. Food was very nice.

Staff were friendly and very welcoming. Place was clean and tidy. The food was fresh and delicious. We were well taken care of by our server. It was an enjoyable experience over all.

Manners of the staff on the carvery was good. Floor staff seen polite but we're more concerned with having a conversation by the waitress station than tending to our table when we had both clearly finished our meals. The conversations were very close to our table and seemed to be negative towards other members of staff or gossiping which made me feel uncomfortable. Also use of poor language was overheard.

Sadly this place is quite neglected & dirty. The tables chairs all pretty filthy. The salt & pepper Mills horrific, toilets need to decent bleaching, floors walls the lot. The place hasn't had a deep clean or a paint in years. The phone rings loudly in the middle of the restaurant & is rarely answered. Go to another branch for a nicer experience

The carvery wasn't it's usual standard, tye cabbage looked as though it was raw and the meat serving was laughable if I'm honest. I understand there are a lot of people to feed but our servings were dismal. I had the lamb and beef, there was 2 tiny slices of each. To put it in perspective, you wouldn't have made a sandwich out of the it. Totally unimpressed!

Went for Breakfast with Santa with my family and the in laws. The greeter was polite and friendly and the food was good. The other staff, however, seemed to really short with everybody and not helpful in the slightest. I get that they are stressed at this time of the year and working every hour going but their no need for their attitude. The 'Santa' was the worst thing there. He was an absolute grump (I'm being nice for the sake of Google reviews). He was shouting at the family in front of us as the baby was crying and didn't want to go near him. When it was our turn he spoke to the two girls and mocked the Swansea football team that niece supported. I get banter but this is too far with a young child especially somebody who is supposed to Santa. He told me son, who is autistic, that if he doesn't speak then nothing will be delivered. He is nervous around new people and in new spaces and this has just knocked him back with his confidence. Totally ruined the family breakfast that we were having and we left shortly after without speaking to any of the staff which is something never do as I usually thank the staff of whatever establishment I am in and leave a tip if I can. We won't be coming back to this restaurant.
