Great burger diner in downtown Royal Oak. Stopped in for lunch while running errands in RO. Really unique and cool place. I love the commitment to both the old school style diner and the art / design in general. Our waitress and all the staff were very friendly and pleasant. The food came out quickly and was pretty good. The burgers were decent. The fries were good and we liked the Philly egg rolls. I would recommend Comet Burger.

Comet is a small burger joint that has insanely good burgers. I discovered comet on bike night in Royal Oak and I'm happy I did. The food is really good, like really really good. The burgers are the highlight and they're always hot and served quick. The chili cheese fries are really good too. This is a great hangout spot despite its size and once you try the burgers you'll be hooked. If you're in the area and looking for a quick but good bite to eat or just to visit and old fashioned burger joint, this is it. They also have a little outside dining area that is great on days with decent weather. The patio is also great because it allows you to see and enjoy the interaction and sights of the bustling surrounding environment

One of the best chicken cheese stake I had. Perfect portion of chicken and bread. I felt that onion and pepper was bit less. It tasted fresh. I also loved their Oreo desert. Food was priced right and service was friendly and prompt. I would recommend this for cheese steak.

Stopped in before a show. This is very cool retro restaurant. They have awesome milkshakes, great sliders and fries. They also serve a good variety of sandwiches. They offer a number of different types of fries. Our food was served up fast and there was nothing left once we were done (it was good). They don't have tables that seat more than a few people, so we ate at the counter. If you are in the area, stop in.

Best service since they have remodeled the location it looks fabulous. I enjoyed it very good 👍🏼

The new and improved Comet Burger is definitely worth checking out! It is clear that a lot of care was taken to making the inside look pleasant and inviting - even the bathrooms are beautiful! We went there yesterday and had a great time. The food and service were top notch, and the atmosphere was really fun. Everyone from the guys at the grills to our server to the owner were friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend supporting this local gem!

The employees were friendly and the service was quick, but I didn't enjoy Comet Burger as much as other slider restaurants such as Hunters Hamburgers, Travis, Seeburgers, and Green Dot Stables. The burger patties were so thin and they didn't have as much flavor as the aforementioned restaurants. Neither did the Coney. I was hungry so I cleared my plate, but I'll likely stick with Hunters or the other restaurants I mentioned.

Great atmosphere! Love the new and improved look. Very clean and food was high quality. Exactly what downtown royal oak needs for a quick slider and milkshake. Can’t wait to go back.

Great place for a slider. Very fresh and old school diner. New owners, but familiar food and setting. Give them a try, I will definately be back
