The best true Jewish deli in the area. Food is incredible. Prices are high but worth every penny. I was very impressed with the quality of the food and the service was also very good. Sandwiches are huge! The take-away side has some awesome homemade specialty foods. The chopped liver is especially good!

Absolutely no complaints- pastrami on rye, matzoh ball soup, and my friend’s tuna fish with tomato was on point! Our server (younger, tall, dark haired-lady) couldn’t have been more accommodating even though we kept her table for too long. Thank you!

This review is not about the food. The food is decent however, the service is not. Not trying to call that card, for those that understand where I’m coming from, you know what I’m trying to convey. I visited Steve’s today cause I was craving a corn beef sandwich. I waited at the counter for about 5 minutes or so before being acknowledged, that wasn’t the problem because, I consider myself a patient individual. A couple of staff members walked by and said nothing, no big deal, not a smile, not someone will be right with you, nothing! Like damn does it hurt to smile nowadays? Just asking? Is everyone that uptight? Finally a gentleman ask could he take my order, placed my order and waited to be checked out. While I’m waiting a lady comes in to pick up her order with her dog in hand. Now before the all the dog lovers go in, I also love dogs. Here’s where the problem comes in at. Just because you consider yourself clean and your dog clean is not always necessary true, and is it ok for a customer to allow her dog to place their dog paws on the counter where food is being handled and picked up? Let alone bring a dog in an establishment that serves food? Or where people are eating? And no this is not a service dog! Lastly the cashier had a serious attitude problem towards me. While friendly towards others that don’t look like me( and I’m a friendly person). Therefore, after today I choose not to patronize an establishment that doesn’t appreciate a customer that looks like me. Again this review is not about the food but the service I received today at Steve’s.

Basically $20 deli sandwich only. Soft drinks $3 ... Small cup of soup $7. Then they put a surcharge for using a credit card. $60 for 3 people,. Sandwich & water. If you want to pay that much, OK, but I can find a better deal at another deli.

I used to like Steve’s Deli. I have tried to go there for dinner three times in the last month. The first time I looked them up online to make sure how late they were open and it said 8:00 pm. I arrived at 7:00 pm to find a handwritten sign on the door to say they closed early due to a Jewish holiday. A responsible merchant would have noted that on their Website and stated when they were closing that day. The following Saturday I arrived at 5:10 pm to order a take out sandwich only to learn that they had closed three hours early! at 5:00 pm. Again, nothing noted on their Website. Tonight; Saturday, I arrived at 7:10 pm and saw diners inside. I walked in and waited for the hostess who told me they had decided to close at 7:00 pm because they weren’t enough customers! I asked if I could order a take out and she said no. Hmmmm, I wonder why Steve’s Deli doesn’t have enough customers? They just lost another one and I will be happy to spread the word. Hopefully, this review will also alert people that the hours of operation at Steve’s Deli are whatever they feel like that particular day and they certainly won’t share them with you online or on their handwritten sign taped to the glass

Very EXPENSIVE but quality is amazing. I had carryout and ordered a caesar salad but got a caesar wrap instead. It’s a busy place with lots of activity so I was probably heard wrong. Not the end of the world but to drive home an hour with this surprise isn’t ideal when a few items cost you $60. I’ll definitely be back and they have baked goods in house and an array of unique items. EDIT: 1/12 after the last visit had the wrong order I came back. The cardinal sin occurred; a hair in my coleslaw. Pictures posted with receipt for transparency. It’s one of those feelings that completely disgusts you. After factoring in that I drove through a snowstorm and the price paid it’s really unsettling. If Steve’s card about reviews they would reach out and attempt to make this right. But how? This was my 3rd visit in the same months and I think I have to pause on my patronage.

NYC (a la Katz's Deli) style restaurant. The menu is vast with traditional Jewish and American fare. The monstrous corned beef and pastrami sandwich is the best. Try it with a side or two of Steve's Russian dressing. The matzo and kreplach soups are also fantastic and the Bergedorf salad is exceptional as well. It's an entire meal in a salad!

The food was great! I had the pastrami sandwich. The meat was fantastic. The fries were also really good. The atmosphere was nice, you can sit inside and listen to the music or out in the hallway and have it a bit quieter.

Very good corn beef sandwich. With tons of corn beef. Bonus is always being able to enjoy lunch with my dog. It's great training for him.

Many years ago Steve's was my intro to delicatessens. And still today, it's one of my favorites. You can't go wrong with a bowl of matzo ball soup or any of their delicious sandwiches. If you feel like treating yourself, have a cheese blintz too ☺️

Normally I do not do reviews but this is ridiculous. Why it’s so hard to get an order right now a days is beyond frustrating I went in AFTER lunch rush so that’s not an excuse. Paid 40$ for lean Rueben and large soup ( I am not feeling well so I wanted to get in and out) I asked for Russian dressing on the side. I get home and what do ya know no dressing on the side. Now I’m not going back in there I do not live close and there’s no excuse to forget the dressing. They were NOT BUSY and the sandwich is dry dry dry without the dressing. Thx Steve’s for not getting a simple order correct I also was very generous with my cash tip.

1 star because of what I got for what I paid! I got the special, pint of crispy CH. pasta, asked for it hot too. I spent 14$ on a tiny plastic bowl of spaghetti noodles and 5 bite sized pieces of chicken. I know what food costs, and this is way too much. 14$ for a cold bowl of pasta that is sub par, is just depressing. I was so surprised to see how much my bowl was. Regret is an understatement right now.
