Walked in after having dinner at the Vault and we're looking for a nightcap. The Iron Gate is a perfect place for craft cocktails! All the cocktails that we each got, were out of this world delicious! Our server made excellent recommendations and took her up on what she led us to. The Iron Gate is a great place for an evening out, without have to head to Downtown Detroit for a really nice evening out!

Interesting spot in wyandotte. Cool entrance. Nice cocktail list. Small menu with delicious ingredients. Loved the kimchi potatoes. Noodle entree dish was excellent. Staff started off great then kind of left us with empty drinks and wanting the bill near the end.

Awesome atmosphere, descent food, very good cocktails. The menu isn’t monstrous but what they carry it tastes good. Decor of restaurant is really good, service is quick. Parking is on street and not too difficult

Love the vibe of the place, it's intimate, cozy, yet chic. The carrot boi drink was strangely amazing and I highly recommend the lobster deviled eggs. Service was amazing by all staff

Came in to check out the Christmas pop-up and the holiday menus/vibes did not disappoint. Lobster deviled eggs starter and little piggie meatloaves for dinner were delicious. Also tried the peppermint mocha and house old fashioned served under a really cool smoked dome. The hot cocoa pots de crème and Santa’s fix cookies were a nice splurge for dessert. Great elevated bar food here and highly recommend for a special night out.

Iron Gate is delicious. Words cannot do this place justice. When I'm inside, it always feels like I've found a secret spot where others only hope to get in. Came by for their Christmas pop-up and was very pleased. Pictured are some post-sticker style dumplings w a sweet chili sauce, porky meatballs w pomme puree and pomegranate (a real pomme/pom situation) and delicious elevated "tater tots". I can't wait to go back!

Wow, this place does not disappoint! It's got great food, excellent service and an amazing ambiance. The Bang Bang shrimp was outstanding! This place is worth the drive if you don't live in the area!

A total gem in the downriver area. Speak easy style decor, a beautiful interior and a cool small outdoor space to sit and eat or have drinks in the front. Unique and delicious craft cocktail offerings, small bites you can order a few of and share as well as a small selection of plates are on the menu. The food was good and the service was attentive and good as well. Would definitely go back and recommend checking it out.

Went here for New Years Eve dinner for the first time on a recommendation from a friend. Atmosphere was very very cool and alive. Sat at the bar area and had the opportunity to have two amazing bartenders (Ava and Autumn), Ava was always attentive and helped with recommendations on selections. The entire staff was great, will definitely be back as a regular to The Iron Gate!

The drinks are the Unlikely Negroni & House Old Fashion, both were delicious. We had the Elote Churros and perogies, both were delicious. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We liked the decor.

Update: Since the original review, Iron Gate has become one of our favorite places. They constantly introduce new menu items without sacrificing quality. On Tuesdays, they are currently doing the Summer Supper Club, which is amazing! I hope they continue after summer is over as well. Original: This was our first time visiting Iron Gate and won't be the last. We ordered the bang bang shrimp for an appetizer, and it didn't disappoint. For dinner I had the burger with truffle tots and my significant other had the fire pie. The truffle tots were out of this world! Everything else was also tasty, with the pie having just enough heat to not be overbearing. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars was because I ordered a medium rare burger and got one well done. That aside the flavors were still good, so the place has the potential to be one of the top spots in Wyandotte.

The food was great! And the drinks were unique and delicious! The service was a bit slow, but they were very busy. The atmosphere is very loud especially sitting at one of the table in the middle of the aisle. Nearly having to shout to talk to the people you are with.

Tonight was our anniversary and we decided to eat here. We eat here frequently and food is always great. There are a few new things on the menu… The meatballs were excellent and of course the dumplings are a must. And for you ladies who like the drinks my wife loves the Moscow mules there!

We were visiting from out of town and picked the Iron Gate at random. Definitely the right choice!! Everyone was so friendly and the food was delicious. Next time I’m in the area, I definitely want to try more of their cocktails!

I just love The Iron Gate. All of the staff, from the servers and bartenders (and all the wayback to the kitchen staff) really care about their product and the customer experience. A hidden gem. The best bang bang shrimp I’ve ever tasted. Each detail: the menu, the drinks, that vibe…intentional and special.
