I was visiting Ann Arbor from Los Angeles and was thrilled at the quality of the Baos and sticky rice! The authentic flavors and authentic people make this place a true gem. I would be confident to put this place up against anything you can find in LA. Also A+ vibes to drink Jasmine tea and watch the snow fall outside. Will make sure to be back!

The area has been waiting for a restaurant like Baospace. Some of the tastiest dim sum around (and there isn’t much here). Cozy vibes and I love watching the chefs make buns and soup!

TLDR : Watch out Din Tai Fung, there's a new Bao Bun at the table. The service was immaculate, very attentive, weight staff, and very attentive workers who would walk your food out to you quickly and ensure that you got the right meal and double check before they left. The ambience of the restaurant is what really sold me on this facility. It was a cute, clean and well lit facility that just made me feel so good and so excited to eat. I will definitely say that the interior designer did a fantastic job of making do with the space that they had and making the seating arrangement comfortable. The food here, in my opinion, initially reminded me that of Din Tai Fung when I used to live in California. I love the steamed buns as they brought back memories of friends and family coming around for a meal, and I will definitely say that these were amazing. Only thing I would like to say is I could not tell the difference between the beef and the chicken. It could have been the cold weather was playing tricks with my sense of smell so I will definitely be back to try them out once more - stay tuned for an updated review in the future. I did just want to mention, everything inside of my picture, if you're not able to read it, two chicken, two beef and a cucumber salad.

It was pretty good. The shumai doesn’t have meat which was disappointing but it was still good! Make sure to get the dumplings pan fried. It’s so good! The sesame noodles are great as well. Don’t forget to get a drink, even though it’s not their speciality, they have good boba that’s worth a try. It’s a open space as well with outside seating.

Visiting from Chicago and decided to try this restaurant out. The bao is amazing here! The skin is cooked perfectly which is hard to come by - better than Chicago. Beautiful and simple aesthetics and ambiance. Would come by again.

We ordered a variety of items, some great, some okay. The beef bao and veggie spring rolls were tasty and definitely something we'd get again. The sesame bao had nice flavor but it was a little too sweet for our taste (but that's just a matter of preference). The chicken bao was okay, didn't hate it but didn't love it. We probably wouldn't order the miso soup again. Overall though the bao was light and fluffy. We'll probably try it again, hopefully this time the pork won't be sold out :).

Pricey but good, not great, and honestly I'd recommend it if you are new to this kind of food, but having tried supermarket bao which is almost as good... I'd say eat here if you don't mind paying a premium for what is fairly ordinary fare. You do get chili at the table without having to ask which is a plus.

Nice spot for a quick meal or a snack. The Berkshire pork bun tasted authentic. The shumai has the right flavor but was a little dry. Would be curious to try out a few more dishes next time.
