Great area to visit. Went there when the @ Gold Coast Show was on. Enjoyed the day, plenty of rides and attractions, show bags and food. The parkland has a great playground for kids, with inflatable bouncing play equipment and other activities. There are BBQ facilities and picnic areas, as well as a Cafe. Also plenty of grasslands to relax right next to the water, with beautiful views of all the boats in the marina and out on the water. There is the beach and water play areas, so much to do there especially for young families. You can do as much or as little as you want there. There is plenty of parking and toilets there. Very worthwhile the visit, highly recommended!

So much to do here! Jogging, picnic, fishing, playground, everything in one place by the water. If you're an early riser it's a nice place for morning walks while watching the sunrise. It can get very busy during school holidays!

A great park on the broad-water that has plenty of playground equipment as well as a giant inflated pillow (like a bouncy castle) and amenities. The broad water itself has a small beach and a patrolled beach for swimmers, and a pontoon to allow kids to swim to and jump off into the water. It is very, very popular and we have never seen it quiet / empty.

Great place for single people, couples, families, children and loved ones. And of course you can take your pet's. Just sit and enjoy or stroll through the endless paths winding along our beautiful Queensland coast. And don't forget to have a dip in the ocean!!! Enjoy the beauty and peace.

This is what the Gold Coast is all about. Beautiful parklands and green spaces for everyone. Excellent playground and BBQ facilities for families, and such a beautiful place to walk especially at sunrise and sunset. It’s clean, there’s always security around, and I’ve always felt safe there no matter the time of day or night.

Big recreational park with plenty of amenities, complete with circuit track for morning jog. I will say only venture into this park during daylight hours as there was some sketchy activities going on.

This is an interesting place for everyone, especially families with children. The kids may play all day long without getting bored. The parking lot is spacious, and the restrooms are quite clean. Highly recommended.

New northern section is one of the best playgrounds I’ve seen. Very well designed for kids to play and parents to relax.

Amazing place for kids of all ages !!!! My 2.5 year old and 9month both spent hours here splashing around. Plenty of room for everyone with picnic tables, shaded picnic areas and chairs surrounding the water play areas, a on duty lifeguard aswell as Cafe/ toilets near by. Couldn't have picked a better spot for a play and to cool off.

Love the new upgraded play centre in Mitchell park. The best playground within Southport and surfers paradise compared to the bouncy pillow etc. on the other end of the parkland. Absolutely amazing parklands with fantastic views of the beach. It has everything kids love with great shades. Beautiful lighting at night too. A must visit!!!

Brand new park there which is fantastic for the kids. But the toilets are 200m plus away from the park. Kids don’t generally tell you that they need to go until the very last minute. Big open space to play for hundreds of kids.

I go there from time to time to walk on weekends like others. Nice and clean place, always full of people doing this and that, playground for kids, chairs to sit, bbq and tables for picnic, securities, gardeners ( cleaning gardens, bbq) and coffee places ( The shack, Catalina ). Both of them make good coffee and since last week there is a small like caravan who made coffee as well.

Was here for the Smashing Pumpkins and Jane's addiction concert. Great parklands by the broadwater, perfect for music festivals and outdoor food stalls, family and friends picnics etc. We walked by playgrounds for kids and a Waterpark type thing, little coffee shop and BBQ areas.

In the heart of Southport, this awesome park is suitable for most anyone, with beach front walkways, playgrounds, rockpools, swimming pools, BBQ areas, jetties and so much more. Plenty of dining nearby too. Love it.

Kids play and picnic area for the whole family. Plenty undercover benches and BBQ facilities. Large grass areas for picnic blankets and gazebos. Wheelchair friendly. Remember the sunblock and caps. Access from pontoon aswell. There are 2x electric vehicle charge points available in parking lot. A good option for kids parties. Take the scooters, skateboards and bikes. Boat launch area on the far side of the park.

I visit early morning. A great place to walk the dog. Due to an injury I also find it easier to walk here as it is reasonably flat & well maintained. At that time of morning it's free parking also (before 9am currently) & it has great views. I have also visited in the past for family birthday BBQ events & again very easy to access. Surroundings suburb are easy to ride from also & the tram is quite close.

Absolutely love it! Large open spaces for picnics and games. The kids water park is a great way to cool off without the worries of waves. There's plenty of parking and more than enough shaded areas for towels etc. It's quickly become our goto when the heat draws you to the coast

One of my absolute favorite places to go for a run or leisurely walk. The Parklands stretch for quite a while so you can get some great mileage in. Lots of open green space, the gardens are well-kept and generally not too busy (unless there is an event/function going on). Relax by the water, lay on the grass or sit somewhere shady and just chill. There's also an outdoor gym which is fun. It's dog-friendly (on leash), and there are poop-bags available if you forget to bring some. Keep left on the paths and be mindful of other people. If you go on a weekend it'll be busier than during the week. Children always seem to be having a world of fun - and there are lots of things for them to do (playground, water park, netted-off swimming area etc). Lots of fun for the whole family all round.

Can easily find a quiet patch to spend the day. However, all the play areas and rock pools are always jam-packed, even during the week. This is also where whanganui day is now celebrated.

Top spot for an outdoor concert or music day......in the right conditions. Relatively easy to get to via the light rail network. Thoroughly enjoyed the Red Hot Summer Tour event February 25th 2024. Limited shade areas nearer to the stage area, on a super hot day with an absolutely unforgiving Sun β˜€οΈ. A personal choice to choose shelter as a safety measure to counteract the sun's punishing heat meant no view of the stage and some reduction in sound quality.

Beautiful place to take the kids on a beautiful day. Good facilities, plenty of parking - but you have to pay. Lots of choice of things to do - play equipment, beach, rock pools or kick a ball around. Lots of places to sit with a picnic lunch or a cafe.

This is the perfect location for a family outing. Jumping pillow, cycling track for children up to the age of about 10. Playground area, picnic area, swimming in the sea in a netted area. Many weekends there are activities put on like massive Jumping castles, funfair etc. Coffee shop selling the usual goodies. Lots of parking available. I would highly recommend a visit.

Broadwater Parkland is a spectacular piece of the gold coast. A great place to take the family. Lots of activities and play areas for the kids, lots of electric barbecues, a safe swimming lagoon and best views on the Gold Coast. I walk there every week and I can't think of anywhere better to do so. Two thumbs up.πŸ‘πŸ‘

Nice place for family and friend events, water is usually nice especially in summer and they even have nice indoor showers. Nice place just to chill especially if you don't want too be thrown around by the waves. Aquasplash there is always fun but seemed busier last time I went. Overall nice place.

Open, clean and friendly. Amazing they offer free parking on public holidays. Need a few more covered areas as we couldn't stay once it got hot and can only come back when the sun's low. But a great time had for all. There's something for everyone. The best family friendly place on the coast.

The Aqua Splash inflatable obstacle course looked a lot of fun especially for young fit people. The teenagers I was with enjoyed themselves and were keen for another session. Book ahead to avoid missing out or having to wait for a later session. Remember your sunscreen! There is not a lot of shade around.

  • 4/5 Kurtis S. 3 years ago on Google
Always great to bring the kids down, extending carparks for more close space would be ideal.
