The sundale bridge and surrounding area I always a great place to walk or ride a bike. It's also a magnificent place to take photos from the watersedge towards the Gold Coast and Main Beach sky line especially at night. Great fishing can be had along the water and you're bound to catch a flathead or two if using the right bait. There are some BBQs around and plenty of places to sit and look out onto the water just make sure you bring the Aerogard as sandflies can be a problem on a low tide.

My latest photograph of the Sundale Bridge in Southport. Personally not my best work. Maybe I'm a bit little out of touch 😁😁😁 But I will never give up trying. Bring on round two. This place is one of the most common spots where photographers take photos on the Gold Coast. I call it 101 πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡ The filter used was Cyberpunk #southport #goldcoast #queensland #australia #photography #cyberpunk

Great vantage point for sunset and a view of the city. At night there’s a lovely string of lights too, which adds a nice element to nightscape/cityscape style photos. Also a fantastic route to run or cycle over, as it’s a nice straight section with distance markers.

The actual Sundale bridge is just a roadway and is possibly the least interesting bridge in the world, lol. However, the pedestrian bridge, whilst also boring, provides for some great backdrops and also decent vantage points. The addition of the lights makes it more aesthetically pleasing over the water. They're nothing to marvel at, but they do their jobs as bridges and do them well πŸ‘Œ

A great walking experience, with plenty of photo opportunities and plenty of width for everybody using the bridge. (Judging by the number of fish hooks and lures tangled up in the overhead lights, it's also popular for fishing!)

Excellently designed Bridge in a ripper of a position. The foot bridge for pedestrians and cyclists are very well done. Views from the middle of the bridge looking towards Sea World is just a delight. Activities under the bridge is awesome. The water quality is very good, lots of little fish around. And if you have the patience, you might just be able to catch your dinner there!

Ahhh, the Sundale Bridge in the Gold Coast – the unsung hero of bridges, the swan among ducks, the hidden gem of Australian architecture. Move over, Story Bridge, because there's a new contender for the title of Australia's most iconic landmark. First things first, this bridge is not just a bridge; it's practically a celebrity in disguise. Its curves are so sensuous that even the most elegant supermodels would be envious. I mean, have you ever seen a bridge this beautiful? I bet it's been practicing its strut in secret. And let's talk about that location – perched elegantly over the glistening waters of the Gold Coast, it's like the bridge is saying, "Look at me, I'm fabulous!" As the sun sets, the bridge transforms into a masterpiece, casting a golden glow that's more mesmerizing than a disco ball at Studio 54. But what truly sets the Sundale Bridge apart is its personality. It doesn't just connect two pieces of land; it connects hearts. You can almost imagine it whispering sweet nothings to the passing boats and saying, "Hey there, sailor, want to take a scenic route under my arches?" Now, I know what you're thinking: "But what about the Story Bridge in Brisbane?" Well, let me tell you, the Sundale Bridge doesn't need a story because it's busy making history. It's like the rebellious younger sibling that decided to steal the spotlight, and boy, has it succeeded! So, next time you're in the Gold Coast, take a moment to appreciate the sheer awesomeness of the Sundale Bridge. It may not have a Hollywood star on the sidewalk, but it's definitely a star in its own right. Move over, Sydney Opera House, there's a new iconic landmark in town, and it goes by the name of Sundale Bridge!

One of if not the grousest bridge in this part of the world. Good for cars, people, photographers, recreational fishing and a nice walk. Would recommend. Architecturally speaking, quite a sound design being a dual carriageway type design. Located near the old Sundale Shopping Centre.

It's nice. In need of a bit of repair or maintenance. Otherwise it's nice. Great for watching fireworks, boats, or people going by. There's the occasional person fishing. But it's a bridge, what else can you really say about it.

Cross this bridge many times on the way back & forth from Surfers. Just after driving off the bridge & turning towards the Spit you can capture some great sunsets & it's a popular place for fishing

Beautiful day fishing on Anzac day was relaxing, plenty of space. Great area for a picnic with public toilets and car parks nearby. Beautiful spot if you like your sun and you can hide in the shade under the bridge if you need.

I must say under the Sundale Bridge holds a very special place in my heart as I am the artist who painted the murals on the Southport side in 2008. I can see the paintings have been vandalised over the years, but they seem to be holding up quite well considering. My children were very little when I completed this mural and now they have children of their own. I hope passers by enjoy my murals and also enjoy the beautiful jetty and views. It is also an awesome walk or bike ride along the broadwater or even over the bridge and to Main Beach. If anyone is interested to see my mural you can access by car via Barney Street, Southport :)

Great place to bring your kids and have a barbecue or have a fish. Park and beach has always been clean and well kept by council. Good jetty for launching your boat as well.
