Worst sushi joint I have ever been too. That was most money I have ever paid for a rice bowl and the least amount of food i have received in the same transaction. An absolute scam. $18 for 2 tablespoons of rice and a few bits of chicken. Not impressed at all

I’ve gone to many Sushi Trains across the city over the last decade and all my experiences have been positive but not at this location. They were super stingy with the wasabi and ginger. We had to ask for it from staff as there weren’t any at the table and they came back with one packet. Common sense would tell you that there are four of us dining. Another person in our group asked for one and they came back with…you guessed it, one packet! We got in after 7:30pm and they started cleaning up at 8pm even though they close at 9pm and stopped cooking so there were only scraps left to eat on the train. We cut our meal short and went a few doors down to finish off our dinner at another restaurant. We’ll never come here again and my recommendation is to stay clear away from this place.

Service was terrible. My food sat there with no one to tell me it was ready to be taken. I would've taken it back if they weren't closing in 15 minutes. I ordered 4 dishes and it took 35 minutes. It was only after I asked did I receive my food. My "hot food" was now cold. There needs to be a better ordering system perhaps with phone alerts to tell you your order is ready. Pretty disappointed.

One yummy sushi, two friendly staff, three clean restaurant, four nice ambience, five delicious tea, six fast service, seven convenient location, eight easy parking, nine reasonable price, ten rewarding loyalty programme. Ten out of ten, extremely great experience today we had would definitely call again to enjoy nice late weekend lunch, would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and everyone. One little thing to add is that the music, welcoming chant and staff responding shout bit too overwhelming a little bit too noisy but given all other aspect very enjoyable, 10/10 ~!!

Disgusting and overpriced food. Charged $25+ for two small prawn sushi and 6 tiny sushi rolls (with only tuna inside), 4 small COLD fried calamari rings and mousse that was frozen. Rude service as well. When the waitress was informed about the cold food, she gave such appalling attitude. She said she could have heated it up in the microwave for me - are you kidding! If you advertise a hot food section, I expect you to deliver hot food. Do not expect customers to ask you to 'heat it up' - what a joke. Replace the food on the train that has gone cold, or do not leave it there for so long getting cold. Simple. Definitely do not recommend eating here. Unacceptable.

The most delicious sushi around the Southport area 💚 Sushi train has a reputation for being cheap and over priced. But there is none of that knock off, 90% rice, cheap fish cuts nonsense here.. Just very nice, fast, well seasoned sushi. It's definitely worth it. The atmosphere is clean and friendly, although a little crowded. But, take away is just as delicious, if not even more yummy 🥰 🍣 Fresh, tasty ingredients, okay prices, friendly staff. Will return many times 🐙🤩

This is a very good Sushi Train. Located off Ferry Road Southport in the Small shopping complex where Rasoi Master is. Large and clean, with nice decor and many seating options. Plenty of friendly, helpful and efficient staff on hand. Lots of variety on the revolving train. Many Sashimi offerings along with Tempura, Aburi, Vegetarian, Spicy and Deserts. The dishes I selected were very good. Also had a hot Green Tea, which was great.

Sushi Train is a classic for great sushi! Simple vibes with the train and booth made for a good dinner. Prices are quite high for what you get. Sometimes you'll pay close to $5 for two tiny bite size pieces of sushi. I personally find the quality better and it more affordable at smaller family sushi shops. Rice is often dry and Salmon portions are far from generous, even in the rolls.

I know everything has gone up so I understand it's going to be expensive..but every time I dine either takeaway or eat in, always get sick..last time I came was a few years ago with the same problem getting sick after eating...that's why I never went back. Had lunch one day for a change and still got sick after eating.. Asked for watcher for me and kids...didn't get till nearly finished our meal...asked for wasabi...only got 1 and I had to ask for another..why isn't it on the table or on the train like other sushi trains...

Hot food on train was stone cold as previous visit was aswell. Decent selection of sushi rolls. Booths available for seating and also single seats. Takeaway also available.

I often visit various sushi train restaurants in Australia and New Zealand, so I have a good sense of what to expect in terms of quality and service. Unfortunately, my recent experience at this Southport restaurant did not meet the standard I've come to enjoy elsewhere. The Sea Urchin dish, normally a favourite of mine, was almost dry and lacked the succulence and flavour that I've relished at other locations. When I raised this issue, the staff insisted the dish was fine and required me to pay for what was, in my opinion, an inedible dish. This incident was particularly disappointing given my usual positive experiences with Sushi Train, and it was compounded by the restaurant's poor customer service. Will I be back? Not a chance!

Great atmosphere and very good customer service. Staff were friendly and attentive. The train had a great selection of sushi and others to choose from. Overall a great experience. However, I found a flaw in the system. If a $5 dish is rotating around without a customer picking it up, the staff should reduce the price by transferring it to a cheaper plate. This is in courtesy of the customer for the freshness of the plate. I found that many dishes were rotating around several times without any interest from customers. And suddenly a new customer would walk in and grab it when it had lost its freshness. Don't think it's fair that they pay the premium price for a dish that isn't entirely fresh. But again, overall experience was fantastic.

This is our favourite spot for all our family birthdays. The food is always exceptional and the ordering system for the table is simple to use. Our kids love their member card and getting stamps and prizes after visits.

Easily the Best sushi on the Gold Coast. Chefs specials are next level. The freshness, presentation and chef skills remind me of eating in Japan. Highly recommend

The quality is good and the idea of sushi train is good fun but a negative point is that some plates keep rotating for quite a while. I picked some fried calamari that were a bit cold. They were still good but clearly been sitting on the belt for a while. The environment is busy, there is some kind of bell that keeps ringing (perhaps food deliveries) which I found a bit annoying. Overall I liked it and I will go back if I'm in the area again.

My partner and I went here for dinner while on holidays. It was amazing. We shared a total of 18 plates it was so good. The Goyza and spring rolls were freshly cooked and amazing. Also enjoyed the chicken meatballs. The service was lovely. Highly recommend.

Tidy place, staff friendly. I’m rating 4 stars because of lacking of some items on train buffet without avo, 90% of them had. Pricing ok, not affordable but acceptable.
