We're do I start, set up a appointment with Vision Express only to find when I arrived that I had booked my appointment at another store, so consequently I missed my appointment. The assistants at the Lord Street branch were sympathetic but could not fit me in for an appointment on that day. I then booked for another date. The point of this long story is that while I was there a cancellation came in and they offered that one to me straight away. These assistants could not have been more helpful. Moved from Spec Savers because of customer service and unfortunately after receiving excellent service in the past all of a sudden its become shocking. Ordered my 2 pairs of Glasses on the 1st June with the promise of getting both pairs no problem by the 16th. Whilst picking up my readers last week on the 7th i enquired about my vari focals and was told they were still in the lab being made. Called into the shop this morning 13th June to enquire on progress to be told they were still in the lab, which was surprising so the assistant promised to call the lab to find out what's happening and she would call me back. I waited until 3:30 before calling the shop to be told by the assistant she'd forgotten to call me back and the Glasses had been rejected upon inspection and would not be ready for the weekend. My problem is I've spent money on these Glasses and they certainly were not cheap there's a problem and I understand these happen but WHY am I doing all the chasing and not receiving updates from the company ???

Sadly the gentleman was a little harsh with my very shy daughter. Having explained she had lazy eyes and had in fact been under a consultant until two years previously, he still got cross with her for not looking where he wanted. Of course she was, but she has lazy eyes. She was upset and he didn't apologise. He then rushed through the exam not giving her much chance to say which lenses were better nor did he change the very small letters I told him on my exam that my left eye was worse, and things at a distance were blurred. He said actually my right eye was worse. My last left eye measurement was -1.50 and he said it was now -1.25. I definitely need a stronger lens, my eye has not improved.. Part of the issue was he wasn't changing the letters. They were tiny and I think he said it was broken. None of the equipment was cleaned between uses. Just a simple wipe is sufficient I think, but even this wasn't done. My daughters own glasses that she brought In for new lenses were broken. I'm actually concerned that these eye tests were not done correctly and I'm wondering if I should go elsewhere to get them checked again. Very sad and disappointed with the visit. I did let Vision Express know, so I hope that they take our visit into account and I hope no one else leaves feeling so disheartened as we did

I cannot praise this branch enough, Paul carried out a standard eye test on me at the beginning of October and he was unhappy with the results I was producing so carried out further tests. This resulted in me being referred to hospital, thanks to him I now know I have a brain tumour. Due to his amazing professional approach he has saved my life. All of the staff in the branch on that day were so fantastic with me, very friendly and I would never go anywhere else, I have since recommended them to all of my friends and family. Thank you so much!

Prompt and courteous attention on arrival followed by professional and attentive test with optometrist Jo. All in all a positive overall experience. I will be back next eye test.

Bloody marvellous staff were excellent , friendly . Good cop bad cop n worse cop those are the nick names I gave them but they were all excellent n very professional n curtious shop was clean and tidy . It was a wonderful experience n I will tell everyone how good they were . X

We were on holiday in Wales and unfortunately my husbands glasses broke. We looked for the nearest Vision Express and fortunately Wexham Hope Street was open. My husband explained the problem and as he had insurance they were able to replace the frames. He just had to pay the excess. The two ladies in the shop certainly put our minds at ease as were not sure how we could have got home. Thank you ladies you saved the day execellent customer service

I used Vision Express online to purchase some glasses. I was a bit hesitant as I've always purchased glasses direct from a shop in the traditional way. I needn't have been worried, the whole process was so easy. After choosing which glasses I liked in my local Vision Express shop I then went online, added them to my basket and then uploaded my prescription and a photo of myself. I chose to purchase the glasses online as I had a 25% discount voucher which could only be used online. I received my glasses within 2 weeks and the prescription is perfect and all I need to do now is pop in to my local store to have the frames fitted. I am honestly really impressed with how straightforward and stress free the whole process was. I will definitely use the online process to purchase glasses in the future.

The staff at Hope Street vision express, Wrexham are all very friendly, welcoming and professional. The optician, Mr Kahn was very thorough and also showed me the photo of my eye and explained all the parts and how they were healthy. My three children also attend for eye tests and find it easy and stress free. I would recommend this opticians both for adults and children

My experience going to the shop was wonderful and helpful, However when I had an email to inform me my glasses were ready for collection I called them to ask if I needed to make an appointment to collect my glasses, asmy last experience you had to…the lady on the phone asked how old I was and laughed down the phone, I asked why this was a concern and again they laughed again, at this point I thought I called the wrong number, they then told me it was fine to call by and again continued to laugh down the phone, my reason for the phone call was 1. At spec savers you have to make an appointment for new glasses due to adjustments and covid restrictions 2. I live an hour away from the area. This will be the last time I will spend £300 in this opticians
