I must say this zoo is truly unbelievable! At first I was sceptical about the location of the zoo but after trekking through all the cracked roads and mountain like hills I was pleasantly surprised to find what looks like the latest edition of “The Tiger King” zoo. I would highly recommend any and all tourists travelling to or from Oviedo to check this place out! I would be weary about going alone though… I’m convinced 1 in 10 people are gone “missing” in order to feed the animal there. It’s like a cross over between Tiger King and Honey Boo Boo would definitely give it a go! 5 stars from me! Would go again!

That is one of the most amazing places to visit if you are an animal lover!! They have all rescue animals there and they really need your contribution!! As they are not a real zoo they don't receive subvention from the government. The people who work there are truly amazing and you can see the love for these hurt animals in their eyes. Maybe they don't have a lot of space but they work with what they have. This is not a zoo, this is a safe haven for rescued and mistreated animals. And the only place like that that i know that will let you spend hours there just feeding parrots with nuts and fruits and you may feed lemurs in a special time during the weekend and learn their story which is truly disturbing. I love the fact that these kind of places exists and they should be cherished, not forgotten!!! So please, visit!! You will enjoy it and you will help the animals.

Very nice place to enjoy with the family. Small place where we can see lots of animals (I don't like the word zoo). Very well cared animals, many of them loose in the park, delighting the children. Tour on foot or with a guide. Picnic area along the way with vending machines with snacks. The best is the work they do taking care of the collected animals and the great maintenance they have to do without external help. There is a “sponsorship” program to help with. Due to the lack of aid, access is not very good, but there is a small parking lot at the entrance.

Fantastic for the kids. I'm not a fan of Zoos but when it happens as a result of rescuing animals, in a good cause. The Australian section was very exciting for the kids.

That's my favorite place in Oviedo! A must-see!! All the animals are rescued so the entry fee goes for them as they are not as a normal zoo and don't get donation from the government! Go and support!! Plus- on the weekend at 17:00 (for one hour) you can pet lemurs!!!

Very bad access, the zoo is small and the cages where the animals are is even smaller... and very dirty 😣 there are lynxes, wolves and tigers in tiny cages for these specimens... horrible cleanliness... and the public toilets for visitors were disgusting… We have left with a bad feeling 😵‍💫😫

So much fun I had to go twice! It's hard to describe just how incredible this little gem is, one of the most fantastic places I've ever been. Definitely recommend a visit! Can be compared to world renowned zoos in quality and experience for a fraction of the price. Enjoy the opportunity to interact with the most spectacular animals- birds who speak Spanish and eat out of your hand, monkeys, ferrets and lemurs that will gladly take snacks provided from the front counter for a minimal cost. There are turtles, lynx, and several creatures I've never seen before like coati and marten. Many of which were abandoned, confiscated, or rescued to retire in peace in paradise. Beautiful plants and natural, well made habitats; quite the sanitary. What makes this truely amazing is not only the quaint size, accessibility, and location in the picturesque mountains of Asturias, but the genuine quality of care that the animals receive. The staff is kind, generous, and attentive. Absolutely incredible experience overall, and I can’t thank you enough for opening this beautiful wildlife center to the public and to the animals in need. Muchos Gracias for sharing your home and the special treasures within.

Small and quite rustic, but an absolutely enjoyable experience. In particular we were blown away by the bird enclosure; would definitely recommend buying some feed from the gift shop before you go through!!

Small but great. You can have an interaction with monkeys and birds. There are kangurus, porcupines and other animals. Price is €5.50 for adults. Really recommend it. Help the animals!

Great experience, all animals were saved or released from tough conditions, very loving and dedicated people, the zoo lives on donations, so, please, don't be shy! :)

It is a small zoo dedicated to recovery of species as well as abandoned animals. It is little but my still favourite zoo. You can feel the animals are happy. It is possible to enter in the birds cage and get to directly pet them.
