Beautiful hotel and extremely clean and marbled throughout, rooms were comfortable and airy, I had a side room with the balcony overlooking the sea and swimming pools and the other side of mountains which was lovely. Fabulous choice of food which was freshly cooked, tables were always clean and plates taken as soon as you’d eaten. Staff were friendly and was always on hand if needed, Jet2 rep was onsite when you needed them, plenty of taxi’s outside to take you to your next adventure, also there is a Casino and theatre on site. I had a wonderful stay and best so far. Thank you for making my stay fabulous. I would highly recommend this hotel 10/10

Amazing holiday and fantastic hotel, spotlessly clean and good food. Be sure to join in with the daily / evening entertainment as the staff are amazing, they go over and above daily. There’s quiet pools too if you don’t want to join in. I would also like to say, the French animation team went out of their way to make myself and my daughter part of the evening entertainment every night and translated everything so we could join in the quiz

Stayed here in April. Allocated room was spot on. Clean. Huge. Airy. Great view. Food was good given the volume of people present at meal times. One slight gripe is on one occasion we went for pudding and came back to the table having been cleared and a 2 new glasses of wine and a bottle of water. Not ours, was the new table users. Hey ho. Two half glasses of wine gone and no real appologies after speaking with staff. Bars were quick to serve. Drinks not to expensive at all.

We have stayed in this hotel on a number of occasions and love it. All the staff are professional and friendly. The cleanliness of the hotel is impeccable and the rooms are cleaned on a daily basis. The food is the best all inclusive food we have ever had anywhere especially the sea food night, the staff in the dining room are very efficient and friendly. The bar in the evening can get a little busy and on some occasions you have to queue for drinks but not for long. The pools and pool areas are immaculate and cleaned every day. We love this hotel and will definitely be back.

A fabulous hotel and excellent value for money. Absolutely loved everything about it. Clean, good food, efficient staff, everything ran like clockwork & you got so much choice in the all inclusive such as cocktails and ice lollies. My only suggestions would be to put families with under 10s on low floors and to make sure all food is correctly labelled in terms of allergies. Neither of these impacted our holiday but I imagine for others would be important. We will certainly return as we feel we found a gem. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

This should be straight fives review. Only the odd little thing and one unusual situation to do with having to queue for a drink - 20 minutes at the worst - but it did improve massively after a chat with the manager who is highly personable, professional and very able and a fairly young man. The bar seems to get swamped at certain times (football etc.) and queues build up. Never seen this in any other bar in any of the many hotels we have stayed in throughout Spain. It got better, but worth being aware that it can happen. The only other oddity is the wine service in the restaurant. When you sit down for lunch and for dinner you're asked what you would like to drink. We found we were asked very promptly, with the exception of a couple of the staff who seemed to make it very difficult. No names as they did improve. In our case we enjoy wine with a meal and received a glass. Some of the staff came to top up as soon as the glasses were empty, but we had to attract attention to our empty glasses at other times. I would say that generally the staff in the dining room worked outstandingly well together and there are some real stars. The food for us was very good. All of our plates went back empty although we saw some really terrible examples of waste on food and on drink. The paellas were always good, and the pizzas have restored my faith as so many pizzas can be poor - the ones here were excellent. Rooms were immaculate and we had an enormous bed. Good range of TV, not that we watched it much. The lifts seem to wobble a bit and one 1⃣ occasion ours ground to a halt and wouldn't restart. I was stuck with a very pleasant young lady from County Tyrone and although it was a bit of a shock when it stopped, the engineers got us out in about 20 minutes, which was quicker than I expected. Local bus services are all very good and there are some very nice local walks. We had an excellent holiday and overall we were very impressed. The reception staff really are there to help as well. With the odd idiosyncrasy this is still an excellent hotel.

Outstanding hotel perfect location. Heard plenty english people moaning about the animation team, the English aren’t happy unless they are moaning. Animation team were great and catered for all guests equally. Food was varied each day and staff were exemplary. Rooms were spotless

I (F20) went here with my boyfriend (M20) our first ever holiday and my first time abroad. We loved it! A few issues with the room on arrival but after telling staff at reception it was fixed within an hour so can’t complain, all staff were really polite. Adults only pool was so peaceful, view from room was unreal in sea view room, and the sea was so close, ideal for a resort relaxing holiday. Didn’t want to come home and would definitely return. Amazing quality for the price!

Located on a rocky part of the beach, fantastic views. looks a bit tired in places, but still a nice hotel, 5-10 minutes walk to nearby supermarket. food good, not great. Fab pool areas, for all ages. Rooms spacious and cleaned every day, fresh towels and beds made 👌bar prices reasonable. Hard working staff, always on hand.

Absolutely loved our stay here. The food is great lots of choice they have everything for everyone. staff very friendly. They have a children's section for the pool and adults section. If you wanted to visit the area the bus stop is just outside along with taxis. They also have water filling stations for water as there is a charge for bottle water. There is a supermarket that's about a 3 minute walk. On the premises there is a gift shop and they sell a selection of items that you may have not packed along with a beautiful jewelry shop There is a casino inside the hotel as well as a spar and indoor swimming pool but remember to take a bathing hat with you.. The security at this hotel makes you feel at ease and you will need to use your door key to access the beach

We’ve just got back from a week staying here and absolutely loved every minute of it! Hotel Estival is a beautiful hotel with extremely modern rooms and decor throughout. The bar and buffet area are 10/10 and have that 5* feel - views are incredible from both. I find other reviews criticising the location and food quite shocking - the location is fantastic. There’s lots of shops (including a supermarket), restaurants and bars all within a 5 minute walk or less. The hotel is right on the ocean with amazing views and beaches either side. You can walk into the harbour in approx 45 minutes and most of that walk is along the beach which is beautiful. The food was extremely diverse each night and yes there may have been some similar items which were the same each night, pizza and pasta, everything else changed daily. We enjoyed Mexican night, sushi night, Kebab night and more. In terms of drinks, they offer branded spirits as part of the all inclusive deal and aren’t shy with their offering. Staff are also extremely polite and helpful apart from one miserable lifeguard who banned inflatables from the pool even though they sell them in the hotel shop!? I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone and we are already looking to go back next year! I have extremely high standards when it comes to holidays and hotels (I usually only look at 5 star) but this place checked all my boxes. My only recommendation would be for the hotel to provide you with a hotel map or floor plan on check in - the place is so big it is easy to get lost and not be able to find things.

Had a great week here with our grandaughters aged 4 & 6 they loved the pools and slides. Good kids club and mini dosco. The food is very good and the staff are so helpful. Easy to get to the marina bus stop outside hotel.

  • 4/5 Lisa B. 1 year ago on Google
The food is fantastic if your all inclusive, what a great selection to choose from and it’s lovely to have the ice creams and snacks in between even more to choose from. Very clean and staff very helpful. The super market isn’t to far, the marina has a reasonable selection of shops, but for me it was to far to walk in the heat with the children. The private beach was small and pleasant. The sand wasn’t my favourite sand as it was almost dirty the kids looked like they had been rolling round in mud.but it was something different to do. My only criticism, was the queuing for the sun beds around the snack bar pool and the children’s splash area, understandably parents want to be able to sit there comfortably and watch the children and I had never experienced this on any holidays before where you had to queue to get a sun bed, people were pushing and running to get sun beds, they were leaving there bags in the queue the night before so they was first in line so people were having to queue behind bags! then when they got a Sun bed, would disappear for half the day, leaving just there towels on 3/4 sun beds! this isn’t the staff members fault, but I do think they could perhaps manage the situation as in have some rules in place with regards to not leaving your sun bed all day, and coming back for one hour at the end of day! About not leaving your bag on the floor to queue for you, bit cheeky when others are queuing for a hour to get a sun bed. And maybe open the pool slightly earlier.and perhaps put out more sun beds. As there just doesn’t seem to be enough in the popular area. And you end up having to get up early to queue to get one! 👎 Lastly be very careful with your little ones around the pool ITS SO SLIPPERY! Great holiday THANK YOU 😊

Overall ok experience. Hotel has (potentially) a great view, but only from the upper floors. Had a room on the second level which gave you a splendid view of the a/c units, not that much of the ocean. Staff was nice, but the place was packed with crowds of (mostly drunk) tourists.

Really nice hotel, lovely rooms with great balcony and lovely views. Bed was comfortable but need to invest in some pillows. We hung up towels but were still replaced every day which was not necessary, expensive and not good for the environment. Two small bottles of water on arrival would have been appreciated and when I asked for tea bags to be replenished it was 50 cent for a tea bag which is outrageous and meanie minded. That soured our stay. Otherwise service was ok apart from the queues for the bar

We stayed here for two weeks as a couple all inclusive. I was in a wheelchair due to a unexpected injury prior to our holiday. This hotel is not wheelchair friendly. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious, large walk-in shower, two single beds pushed together, plenty of wardrobe space but lack of draws. Fridge, kettle some tea and coffee supplied but no milk more tea and coffee will be supplied at extra charge. At the time we visited the A/C was not on even though there was a heatwave with the nightly room temperature reaching 26c (we did ask for the A/C to be turned on but like most requests at this hotel ignored). We had requested by email a quit room with high elevation but we were given a fourth floor room above the children’s playground (We requested a room change and this was done for the second week). The restaurant (canteen) has a dress code of long trousers but few take notice with most people wearing shorts and at times bathing costumes. The food is buffet style with a variety of hot (warm at best) and cold food, a pizza and pasta counter, you won’t go hungry but it does get monotonous. Filtered water is supplied (free) with every meal as well as alcoholic drinks. Prepare yourself for a noisy eating experience with lots of screaming children running round, this is not a quiet relaxing. We were offered a A la carte adults only dining for one night during our two week holiday, this was awful, the table wasn’t ready and asked to wait and have a drink but not enough staff to serve a drink and it went down hill there after. I think the meals came from the main canteen but you were just severed (slowly) at the table. The adults only pool area has three small pools open from 10am until 7pm (you will need to queue from 9:30 to get a parasol), the sun loungers are not comfortable the more comfortable beds (like Bali beds) are in the children splash area. The bar serving the adults area you can get drinks and ice cream but only one girl serving (she is really helpful) but expect to wait in the queue. The bar serving food, snacks and drinks is next to the child’s splash area but we saw pigeons landing on and eating the food so gave that a miss. These are supposed to be no smoking areas but people smoke and no one says anything. The only bar to have a drink in the hotel has limited staff so there is always a queue in the evening expect a long wait, we really couldn’t be bothered to queue every evening so didn’t bother also because this is the same area that the children’s entertainment takes place so it’s very noisy. Overall this is hotel may be ideal for families but does not really cater for the adults or wheelchair users looking for a relaxing holiday. We asked several times for the gates to be opened so I could get out onto the seafront path but the usual Estival answer “THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE”. Even having a conversation with the management he doesn’t understand the customers requirements. This is a badly run hotel and does little to achieve customer satisfaction. Needless to say we will not return.

The staff were excellent with our 2 grandchildren. They absolutely loved the pool and the afternoon snacks by the pool and the reps dances and activities. Isabel the jet 2 rep went out of our way to help us. We have rebooked for July 2022 and hope it is still as excellent but maybe some evening entertainment this year. Obviously last year was still during the pandemic so only one show, the greatest showman. Kids absolutely loved it though. Many thanks for a wonderful week, good food good food great staff and beautiful rooms.

Our room had an amazing view, over the cove. The room was excellent, very clean and modern. Front of house excellent and very helpful. We had B&B only, which was a good choice, as the food wasn't great, which was a shame. Beautiful pool areas, with plenty of sunbeds. To be fair the staff were either very helpful and friendly or unhelpful and not at all welcoming. It is served with great bus routes, taxis and if you have or hire a car loads of free parking. Around the hotel are golf courses and Beautiful beaches and beach bars, plus you can walk to Benalmadena Puerto Marina. This review is not designed to be negative, I am just giving our personal account.

So many good things to say about this hotel. Gorgeous fresh food, clean areas, child friendly. Super friendly staff, special shout out to Cecilia and Hector and all the girls and boys everywhere. Beds aren't great, please consider proper double beds, instead of twin beds that slide apart and everywhere. Please consider supplying more water bottles to the rooms, at least when one arrives there should be some water to drink. And some coffee. Don't charge 50 cent for one teabag (!). Get rid of those expensive water bottle vending machines (2.50 EUR for 0.5 l???) or make them cheaper. Please improve accessibility for buggies: When trying to access the promenade there aren't any ramps. Don't let people wait for an hour+ queuing in front of the pool area - the pools should open when the restaurant opens, not at 10.30. Please enforce the non-smoking rules at the pool and please ask the topless ladies to cover up or go to the adult pools. Children shouldn't need to see that. We loved it, take the above as constructive criticism, we will love to come back!

I really enjoyed my stay here! Wish I could’ve went all-inclusive but they have a four night min for that service. However, breakfast has free drinks (juice, coffee, champagne) and going full board meant almost any time of day you could get a free meal in the buffet which has an amazing view. Buffet food was definitely buffet food, but I’m a picky eater and was thoroughly satisfied each meal. I splurged and got the full suite which I think was worth it for the view alone (although for what I got with the suite and amenities I think it was very fair pricing). All I could see looking out from my balcony was ocean. It was wonderful waking up in the morning and seeing the ocean from your bed. Some noise from the pool area but you could hear the ocean waves at night. Location is in a rather quiet area, but you can walk to some restaurants and the supermarket in a manner of minutes so not too bad. But with the distance from cities means the hotel is rather quiet and the hotel is as close to water as you can get! The adult pool area was wonderful, even if it was too chilly to swim when I was there. You can sit by the pool and see the Mediterranean. Completely separated from the kids area. Drinks are definitely watered down, but they were very tasty. I had a very nice massage in the spa area. And tip—you can use most of the spa facilities free (except for the cost of the swim cap which I believe was 10 euros)! They had an indoor pool, sauna, Turkish bath, a smaller heated pool with loungers in it. All staff were helpful and friendly. Everything was clean and well stocked. Always had cabs right in front of the hotel too, even at 4:30am when I had to catch an early flight.

Just home from our second holiday here. We were devastated to leave. It’s my favourite place in the whole world. It’s like paradise. When we arrived we were greeted at reception by Simon. He was the friendliest receptionist I’ve ever ever come across. He was so lovely & helpful. Every time we spoke throughout our trip he was so pleasant & funny. The entertainment team are phenomenal. They’re just superb. Special mention for Juan who was extra lovely & so so so so talented. No doubt we will see his name in lights one day. Cannot wait to come back again :)

Stayed here for a week. The rooms were clean and well serviced every day. Unfortunately this hotel was severely let down by the food. It was poor to say the least. Considering it's a 4star hotel the food was more like minus4. Unless you like fish! It's all they served. We were forced to eat out 4 out of the 7 nights. The night they served chicken and pork (not fish) they were both uncooked and pink through the middle..! Such a shame as the hotel is a nice hotel definitely will not return or recommend to anyone.

Just returned from holiday here and looking into returning next year. What a fantastic holiday! Beautiful location with stunning views! Room was very spacious and modern. Room was cleaned every day and bedding changed every day. Food was fantastic, if someone couldn't find something to eat here, then they have a problem! Almost all staff were so friendly and helpful! We went on the bus (which is directly outside hotel) and visited the Marina and feungarola. The bus for 2 cost roughly £5 there and back for both trips. My partner and I went all inclusive for 10 nights ( it flew in😪). There is a gift shop in the hotel which I thought would be expensive, but it was so reasonably priced. I would totally recommend this hotel! Can't wait to go back!!

We had a lovely peaceful stay here back in September 2023. The rooms were plain, but perfect for the week. The location of the hotel was stunning, looking out over the sea with a small Promenade to walk round. Perfect days spent looking out over the view on the sunbeds by the pool. We never had a problem getting a sunbed which was great. The only thing location wise, was that you had to travel a bit to go and see anything as you were out of Benalmadena. But this didn't impact our enjoyment. The food was great, not basic but not high end. A happy middle. They did a different theme each night, alongside basics for everyone to enjoy. The Mexican was amazing, reccomend the steak tacos! If you don't like the food, you would have to walk a bit of a distance to find some food places. Only thing for me was the cocktails were too strong and I couldn't drink them, but enjoyed the sangria instead!

Great hotel, amazing views from our room. Location good for exploring but far enough away from the centre. All the staff from reception, restaurants, bars and cleaners were lovely. Had a great week here

  • 4/5 Ricki H. 6 months ago on Google
Excellent hotel just far enough out of the centre to be peaceful. There are various pool areas to relax around.... and 2 pools are adults only 😁. There is a good entertainment programme for people wanting stuff to do. The rooms are a good size & have a mini fridge which is great. Comfortable beds and great shower! I had a large balcony with a sea view. All meals are buffet style and there is always a lot of choice of hot & cold foods. Good quality food and friendly restaurant staff. I will definitely return as I really like the hotel Estivàl 😁

  • 5/5 Andy C. 1 year ago on Google
The location isn't fantastic, however a 15 to 20 minute walk fixes that. The food was good with a different selection every night, the queue for the bar could be 5-10 minutes, however the staff were doing their best. Measures were fine and could be topped up on request. Housekeeping kept the rooms superbly clean. One complaint, we hung our towels up every day signalling that we didn't want them changed. They were changed every day. Kids disco kept the little ones happy as did the kids pool and playground. Overall a very nice stay. Must not forget the staff, always friendly and helpful.
