The area is spectacular and you also get a free history lesson during the ride! What an amazingly spent 3 hours. Even though I live in El Chorro this ride made me look at my village from a different perspective. Before the ride I was quite sceptical about horse riding but I needed to be on a horse for 20minutes to change my mind. Marc's horses are so calm, well taken care of and very well trained. Even my 5year old niece was rising her own horse for all 3 hours and she enjoyed so much that she and her dad decided to go for another ride. Horse riding is a perfect activity for all ages. Marc is a great guide, he has a lot of knowledge of the local area and will keep you entertained during all the ride.

We took the 2 hour trek in July 2020 and it was worth every penny. As complete horse-riding beginners, it made everything so easy and simple that Marc was all set up for us arriving at 9 and was fantastic at explaining everything we needed to do in terms of controlling the horses. He made sure we were both comfortable and off we went! The trek itself was amazing, we loved hearing about all of the flora, fauna and history of the area. Marc was very knowledgeable about everything and we found he had an answer for all our questions which was super. Marc also took the most amazing photos and videos the whole way round, not just of us on the horses but also of the surroundings, which meant we could really focus on the horse riding. The horses were so lovely and responded well to the instructions we had been shown to use. The fact the trek was a variety of heights, speeds and terrain made for a wonderful first riding experience. It was clear throughout that Marc and Ali love what they do and their passion makes the whole experience even better. We would highly recommend Marc and Ali and the fantastic experience they offer, it was the highlight of our trip throughout Spain. We will be back if ever in the area again!

What a fantastic experience! Marc took me on my own into beautiful forests and heights I would never have reached on foot. The sure footed ponies carefully carried us along tracks and trails high up. Marc explained the history of this nature park and also showed me the trees and herbs and flowers. I highly recommend doing a trek here as all levels of experience or none are catered for. You will have an amazing experience too!

I would give it more stars if possible, a must do for horse lovers!! I visited here last week with my boyfriend and his niece, they are both Spanish and me and him were on holidays visiting his family in Malaga. Marc was very nice and spoke in both Spanish and English, so I would understand everything. I was experienced in horse riding, but it had been years since I had done it. My boyfriend and his niece were complete beginners. We took the 2 hour trail and it was all around amazing. I only regret not doing a longer trail. It was completely beautiful and the horses were just wonderful. They bring you up the side of a mountain and the views are absolutely amazing. We even got to do a little bit of a canter once or twice. Marc was a really great guy and he even gave us little bits of history of the surroundings, he also took many photos and some videos and send them to us after for free, which I couldn't believe because the trekking was so cheap! When we were finished the hack we got to sit and chat with Marc and Ali for a little while. They are both wonderful people. This was the most magical experience and has completely restored my passion for horses. Had an absolutely amazing 3 hour evening ride with my 2 children aged 14 & 13. They had no previous riding experience and Marc made them feel very at ease and they confidently learnt to ride and go up and down the various trails. We really enjoyed learning about the area from Marc and the scenery was absolutely stunning. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the kids haven't stopped talking about the ride since. Once in a lifetime experience. Having never been on a horse before I was fairly anxious to get started. I was quickly put at ease by Marc who slowly went through all the directions I needed. The three hour trek was like something from a movie set travelling higher and higher into the mountains. My 13 year old daughter who can ride confidently said it was the best day of her life and was delighted that she could share it with her father. Marc allowed my daughter to progress quicker through the trek while I stayed comfortable in my abilities. My daughters better abilities were constantly taken care of by Marc who loved to push her on more and more. Definitely coming back next year. The scenery is spectacular in the mountains and surrounding forests and the horses were calm and responsive. I even had a canter. In the evening we set off on our second trek, this time led by Marc. I had another canter, rode through streams and even stopped at the village pub for refreshments. My boyfriend and I had the most amazing trail ride of our lives here in El Chorro! Have done “tourist” trail rides in multiple countries and have never had this much fun. The horses were incredibly trustworthy and well-behaved, the terrain was incredible and the views were beautiful. This is an awesome horse experience! I try to ride on every trip I go on, and this was one of the best of anywhere in the world I've been. The owner Marc is fun and was so accommodating to our schedule and needs. No matter what I asked, he made it work. I was worried about how to get to him from Malaga, but it was super easy. We shared an uber to the train station for 6€ and took the train Marc recommended to the El Chorro stop for 5€ each. Marc personally picked us up and dropped us off. His home is at the base of a beautiful range of spectacular cliffs which attract world class climbers. We could see the climbers scaling the cliffs as we rode, and Marc said some days slack liners are seen as well. We also saw several wild Ibex and huge birds of prey flying overhead. It was all so beautiful. The ride took us up the cliffs on our responsive and sure footed horse friends. Then Marc said ready? And we galloped on the wide open areas and truly got the wind in our hair. Our day included crisp air on a sunny and blue skied day, but if you go on a hot day you will be blessed by the shade which covers the majority of the ride. Marc is also an expert guide, telling us about the history and legends that impacted the region. Getting to the top you get to take in every minute and every site because you never take a single picture. Marc handles all of the photography so you can absorb the entire soul filling experience. I lost my Mom a month ago and being in this incredible place on horseback was the first time I had some peace and perspective in grief. Taking trail rides when we traveled was our tradition growing up, so this was a particularly special ride. Highly recommend!

As a beginner, I was able to adapt to horse riding quickly through clear instructions from Marc. The horse I was riding, whose name is Inca, was well-trained which was very helpful. Marc was a spectacular guide and this was an amazing adventure. I did a 3 hour trek with just Marc and I on Capitan and Baila. The horses were so calm, elegant, and sure-footed. The scenery and history of the area are stunning and Marc seems to be something of an expert on the place :-) He's definitely a fun guide and devoted caretaker of his horses and pups. I even got ample snuggles from the dogs at no extra charge! Logistically, it may look far away but it was a 40 minute train ride from the Maria Zambrano station and Marc picked me up and then dropped me back off, only 5 minutes from his farm. The train ticket was ~ 10 euros. It's absolutely worth it.
