Not real Korean food, all the people are Spanish people, they only use Korean sauce and microwave oven, not recommended, don’t come!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am 100% sure that the fired chicken is from a microwave oven because it is not crispy but like freezed one. You (the owner) can taste it by yourself. I do not care that the waitress is Spanish people, but if the cook is Spanish people I will not consider it as a Korean restaurant even though it has a Korean name and a Korean owner. The food is just normal, it does not worth the price, McDonald's has a lot of foreign employees just because their hamburgers are easy to make, but asian food is not!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, the food that I ate in your restaurant does not match with the previously posted foods on Google!!!!!!!!!!!!

넘나 친절한 주인분 감사합니다. 잘 먹고 갑니다. 한국분들 여행하다가 한국 음식 그리우면 여기 꼭 들리시길.. 육개장 맛있었습니다. As a Korean residing in NYC, finding authentic Korean cuisine in Barcelona seemed like a challenge during my EU travels. However, my craving for Korean food led me to this gem of a restaurant. I decided to try their spicy beef soup (Yukgaejang), and it surpassed my expectations with its excellent flavors and authenticity. What truly stood out was the owner's remarkable kindness and attentiveness throughout my dining experience. Their warmth and care added an extra touch of hospitality. The restaurant's popularity was evident as it quickly filled up with customers around 2pm. It became a bustling and lively spot. I wish I had more room in my stomach to try other dishes!

This is hands down the best Korean fried chicken I have had in Europe. The beef Bulgogi was also phenomenal. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I will be returning here on my next trip to Barcelona!

The food was delicious. Chicken wing skin was a little too dry. But everything else was perfect. Very nice employees and nice vibe!

Very solid korean option. I got the spicy fried korean chicken. It was not very spicy but the flavor was good. the garlic fried chicken was excellent too. The bulgolgi was a bit too sweet for me and bit too watery. but best korean i've had in Barcelona so far. They also have authentic korean drinks if you have a hankering for a taste of home

Amazing place for a Korean meal. I love going here after work and enjoying heart warming food. We got fired chicken with kimchi bibimbap but Tteok-bokki was my favorite. Side note: If you go during lunch it can take up some time as the place gets packed

Until a few years ago, the only contact I had had with 🇰🇷 food was at a restaurant in Gràcia, Barcelona which name I don't remember. And that was not good... everytime I went there, for some reason, the clerk managed to convince me to have the sampling menu. And in that menu, the only thing I liked was Japchae. So I was not a big fan of 🇰🇷 food... Until I went to Modu. At modu, I tried bibimbap for the first time and I loved it 👍 Therefore, for several years, everytime I wanted to eat 🇰🇷 food I went to Modu. Now, for the last couple of years, I've been trying to widen my horizon and to give an opportunity to other restaurants in Barcelona. Yet, a few weeks ago, I brought a few friends there, cause I knew it was affordable and the food would be good. Well, I thought, cause things didn't go as expected. As a starter I ordered some spicy fried chicken. On half the chicken, the sauce was hot, on the other half it was cold like right out of the fridge... weird and unpleasant 👎 Then I had bibimbap. What I like with bibimbap is that the experience you have when you start eating it is completely different from what you experience with your last bites, because the bibimbap keeps on cooking while you eat. That did not happen that time because the bowl it was served in was not hot enough: I couldn't hear that sizzling noise I enjoy so much... 😢 Not only that, but the service was so chaotic that the last guest at our table was served about 10 minutes after me... so my food was cold when I started eating 🥶. The restaurant clearly is understaffed. My friend let me try the ramen too and I found it so-so 😐 What is still good is that the rations are quite big and that the price is still low (about €16 each, with drinks, no desserts). But is it enough? I ate well so many times there that I will surely give it another opportunity... I hope it was just a bad day 🙏 Quality & taste: 4/10 Quantities: 10/10 Atmosphere: 6/10 Originality: 7/10 Ratio price / quality: 7/10 Service: 3/10 How I felt afterwards: 4/10 More on IG @runnerandfoodie

This is a great restaurant in a great location. It's not fancy, but you can taste Korean food in a neat interior. We offer a variety of menus that can be enjoyed by both those with a lot of experience in Korean cuisine and those without. You can order spicy and non-spicy food, rice and noodles, and a variety of small dishes. The owner and staff are fluent in both Korean and Spanish. The chicken and hot soup dishes were great. Recommended for small groups :)

Absolutely delightful! 🤩🤩🤩 Food is to die for and staff is incredible! It was only one waitress in the first level and she was getting to everyone incredibly fast! For the food, the Yukgaejang is to die for! It’s so rich in flavour and has a wonderful spicy taste with beautiful veggies and noodles! Korean fried chicken is absolutely to die for!!! So crusty you wouldn’t need a microphone for asmr video😂😂 The bulgogi with rice had a very beautiful taste! It was super tender and juicy! I recommend mixing the rice with the beef for maximum explosion of happiness ((; The Bibimbap was also beautiful! All were beautiful representations of Korean flavours and the cuisine! But if I had to pick, for me the Yukgaejang + tender dumplings that melt in the soup for extra happiness was my favourite! Overall, 100% recommend!

The taste is there but i feel like it is adjusted to foreigners taste. Having spent too many years in korea and asia, i was disappointed that my jeyuk was not spicy at all and even a bit too sweet. Would have loved it more authentic and more spicy. But overall the taste is there. The service is good too.

Wow wow!!!! My girlfriend is Korean and she really wanted me to try Korean food. This was the right place. Service was perfect, the waitress (spanish) was speaking a lil bit of Korean, I was literally shocked. She spent time with us, was very nice. We had fried chicken, Tteok Bo kki and jeyuk. Everything was amazing, so tasty and very well presented. Can’t choose what I liked the most to be honest. We really loved it and felt the Korean experience. We’ll be back for sure!!!

Quick and nice service, prices were great and portions big - but we were quite disappointed with our bibimbap, it was lacking in taste compared to what we’ve tried elsewhere. Perhaps the chicken or the other dishes are indeed great - will have to see another time.

I had the ternera (beef) bibimbap. It did not come with the normal Korean side dishes, there wasn’t a variety of vegetables in the bibimbap and the meat was minced instead of fine-cut bolgogi meat. However, it tasted really good, the service was great and the price more than reasonable. I would go back another time :)

🌟 Authentic Korean Experience! 🌟 The food is beyond amazing, a solid 5 out of 5. Tried the Ternera y Manduguk + Rice – a flavorful beef soup with gyozas and rice on the side 🍲. Expected spicy, ordered Korean level, could use a bit more kick. Shared my thoughts with the manager/owner, who welcomed future spicy requests. Pro tip: If you crave real spicy, really emphasize it and address it to him! For dessert, indulged in the Macha Coulant – the video says it all. Next time, skipping the chocolate syrup; Macha with ice cream suffices for my taste. Service is top-notch, efficient, and friendly – another easy 5 stars. Another pro tip: If you don’t have a reservation, you most likely won't find a table unless you are the first to arrive. Ironically, I rated the atmosphere 3 stars, but it's my kind of place. Simple, organized, welcoming, and clean – lacks the ambiance investment of trendier spots. Consideration: If aiming to impress on a date, fancier options exist. Yet, if proposing an authentic Korean food experience, it's my go-to. Love it!

Rich and tasty food. We tried a lot of the dishes and it was worth it! Make time to visit it! Ambiance is pretty good. I would advise the staff to be a little more patient.

The restaurant opened at 20.00, and we came at 20.30. We ordered 4 sets of fried chicken drumsticks and many other dishes (we are six people). After serving half of our chicken, we were told that the restaurant had no more chicken drumsticks and it was too late for them to prepare more. They just opened and too late to prepare more??! The restaurant was not even full or busy. Three of our foods never arrived. They said that it took longer to cook the vegetable pancake and the ramen. But the three items never came until all of us done eating. We’re six people and three of our foods never arrived!! We didn’t bother to further ask about our food because the waiter was unfriendly, no smile and no kind gesture. It feels like serving us is a huge burden in her life. No apology or explanation on why our foods never came to light. The bibimbap, the seaweed soup and the udon were bland. It should be just one star, but I added extra star because their fried chicken was tasty. Basically the only thing with good flavor in the table.

Excellent Korean restaurant. One of the best I have tried in the city. The chicken thighs and Gyozas are delicious. You must try the Kass beer typical of Korea and I can recommend almost all the second courses. Highly recommended, I will be back.

I know very little about Korean food so I will keep this review short. The service is flawless, the food was well flavorful and the environment feels COVID-19 safe. Most of us ordered bibimpaps and seasoned them with our preferred condiments (GF soy sauce, satay sauce, hot sauce) and the people who ordered the chicken entrees were delighted with the experience. If you are in the neighborhood, Modu is worth a try!

Really enjoyed the japchae - great blend of sweet sauce, noodles and veggies. Bibimbap combo was good value and felt healthy but it tasted bland even though I put additional soy sauce and gochujang.

Pretty good if you're looking for an affordable eat in the area with authentic Asian food. Service was a bit slow, even though there weren't many people in the restaurant.
