Pull in to the first turnout coming from the south for better views. The one to the north is mostly blocked by trees and shrubbery. Then go back into the south Cannon exit and go as far south as possible on one of the residential lanes and find a path down to the beach to explore the tide pools (during low tide) at the larger rock. It’s like what Haystack tide pools were decades ago with abundant sea stars, anemones, and barnacle-covered rocks.

Nice overlook viewpoint! Just be careful pulling in to the parking lot because drivers behind you would be literally behind you and it's hard to catch the lot if you're going too fast South. Overall has a good view of the coast!

Beautiful viewpoint with historical background about how the rocks formed along the Oregon coast!

Beautiful overlook just off the road. A must-see stop for anyone in the area. Looking down the beach is a majestic experience. Even on a cloudy day, it was a moving moment for me.

We were traveling south on 101 and spent the night at Cannon Beach. The kids had such a good time there while I relaxed and soaked in my childhood memories of visiting. This was an awesome view point to look back and say good bye to Cannon Beach for now. Fun fact Haystack Rock became protected for the birds in 1987!

Really nice lookout, especially after a long drive

Very scenic viewpoint and easy to get off to on the road! There is a walkway to leads you to multiple other viewpoints and we walked instead of driving to the other points.

Apartment buildings all over the place right up against the Riverwalk way to close. Just another commercial area. Everything's to close together. Sardines.

A classic spot to view Terrible Tillie and the ocean. Lots of birds! Bring your long lens and binoculars! Impressive view of the rocky shore in the distance. Only 5 minutes away from Cannon Beach. Super windy so bring your waterproof jacket.

Nice place to pull over, stretch and see the incredibly beautiful rugged Oregon coast line. An gull posed unafraid of me and others taking up-close pics. Likely it’s a daily resident here. I’m sure the locals have him/her named.

Beautiful views. Loved seeing "Terrible Tilly" in the distance. Very friendly seagull sat there waiting for someone to feed him.

Great view of Haystack rock. Need to walk north on the highway side of the barriers a little bit to get the best view through the trees.

There are distictive views of sea stacks on the Oregon coast that you donβ€˜t want to miss even on a rainy and stormy day. The parking lot has two parts, both worth visiting. You may find it difficult to walk or drive from one to the other, since they are only connected by the road shoulder.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ We had a blast! Austin and Paris did a great job guiding us through the course. They made it relaxing and fun! I hope everyone tipped them at the end. :) Great family fun for all ages. The course is laid out nicely. If you have any fear of heights, you'll be fine. I never thought I'd step off a 45-5...
