I had loved living there, loved the amenities, community and loved the move in process but the move OUT process is completely unfair and I told management I would write a review. I lived there for not even 10 months before they raised my rent. I was told that someone was waiting to move in after me, so I cleaned the apartment and got out a week before the end of the month to allow time for them. It took almost 3 weeks to provide a damage deposit invoice while I was out of the apartment 5 days before the end of the month and paid a full months rent with no pro-rate reimbursed. I was told that there was a $250 cleaning fee if I chose to move out without cleaning the apartment, but I deep cleaned it and wasn't even refunded half that amount. I was refunded $77 out of the $500 damage deposit. There were pictures from the walk through that showed dust above the very top of the refrigerator and hidden crevices in the door of the refrigerator that could simply be wiped with a clorox wipe and was missed because it is hidden. There was a residue in the bathroom tub that was caused from the previous tenant that had a tub mat that left a residue and I was on my hands and knees scrubbing it off, and it wouldn't budge. There was a picture of the kitchen sink provided as well which was again a residue from deep cleaning the freezer and dumping the ice in the sink, allowing it to melt and just needs a quick swipe. I was charged for cleaning the carpet and repainting the walls that I was told while signing the lease and doing the walk through that holes were allowed in the walls and normal wear and tear was accounted for because you would patch them up any ways. I was told they need to hire a professional cleaning service and didn't know the exact amount which is very fishy when people move in and out all the time. Not to be petty, but my doormat was stolen from my front door, all three smoke alarms went off 4 different occasions in the middle of the night and I had to repeatedly call maintenance out. They said batteries were low but it was a wiring issue as they found out after the 4th time. My car was also broken into, in my covered parking spot. Forget about xfinity, the cable box will not get good connection. I also paid a pet "fee" of $400 that is almost the same as the damage deposit for moving in entirely but none of that goes to pet damage which is very confusing. They seemed fishy toward the end and I had to keep checking in and emailing about the invoice as one day the scanner was broken, one day Svetlana was out sick but then the invoice was sent a couple hours later. Again, I loved my time here. I loved the pool, the gym, paying rent through the online portal, close commute to work & updated apartment, but the move out process was very stingy and I will no longer refer anyone here and just know if you move in, you will see none of your damage deposit refunded back.

I don’t leave reviews often - but I feel inclined to here. I lived in PLAF for the entirety of my 11-month lease. The front office was very intrusive with communications - 1-3 emails a week sent out to the community surrounding policies / missing products. It almost started feeling like spam mail. At one point, they called my housemate & I to inform us our guest (visiting for the weekend) needed to be added to our lease because they were under the impression that the guest had moved in with us. How closely we were being monitored made me very uneasy and not feeling at home. Upon purchasing a home in January, I moved out of PLAF - I paid a visit to the Tacoma Dump and paid $80 to drop off my unwanted couch. Upon receiving my Security Deposit back 45 days later - I noticed I was being charged a $100 fine for leaving bulk items at the trash compactor. I exchanged a few emails with Svetlana at the front office in an attempt to get video footage of me depositing these items, who in turn sent me a corrupted video file and told me the only way to “review the footage” was to re-visit the office, which is now a 90 minute drive from my home. A 3-hour round trip for getting my $100 deposit back doesn’t seem favorable. This place is rated 3 stars and I can see why. Beautiful community - poorly operated. Would recommend staying clear of living here, there are other communities in the area at the same price point that are clearly ran better.

This place is great! Svetlana and the management team are doing a great job in managing the complex. She was a great help in our application process and tried the best she could to speed it along (as we had a wedding coming up soon and needed co-signers and needed to move in before the wedding). She has been a great help and goes above and beyond anyone else I’ve know in her position. Anytime I have an issue, I know she will do her best to fix that issue. As for the rest of the complex, it is better than other places I looked at prior to picking this location, especially the parking. There’s a nice area to walk around and the playground is not too bad for kids. I would recommend this place to anyone 100%!!

I really enjoyed staying at Port Landing. Svetlana was super helpful and straightforward with all questions I had. The move-out process was really simple and I ended up getting money back since my apartment had no damage. The community was really quiet, I always felt safe, and I never had anything break in my home. Only negative thing is that some residents can’t figure out how to recycle properly despite weekly reminders, so the recycling company sometimes will skip pick-up, which leaves the bin over-flowing. Besides that everything was great!

We lived here for a year before moving to a home. Overall, the experience was amazing. The place is beautiful. The staff is friendly and attentive. The amenities are great. The pool, gym, playground, and spa are always clean. The community is always clean(minus the lazy people that don't pick up their own dog's poop). The apartments are also very nice on the inside. Granite showers and counters. Appliances are nice. The reason I docked one star is because the walls/floors are THIN. We unfortunately lived under "the thunder family," and we could hear everything they did. From using the bathroom to using the kitchen and everything in between. We chose the bottom floor because we have a dog and child. Mistake on our end. The office can only do so much as far as noise, and they did reach out when we initially complained. So, if you're sensitive to sounds, opt for the top floor, and you will absolutely love it. The covered parking is close. So, be wary if you have any disrespectful parking neighbors, they will hit your car. We did complain about the neighbors who were completely oblivious, and they took care of it right away. The move out process was very typical. We followed the move out checklist they provided to a T. We didn't have any issues. Overall, I would recommend this place over and over again 100%! Thank you, Svetlana, Barbara, Darryl, and Elizabeth, for all you do at PLAF.

We lived here for a year and a half, the community is amazing. Very quiet, clean, and safe. Amazing amenities such as the pool, hot tub, and gym. Helpful emails were sent out about updates within the community. Office staff were easy to reach and would answer any questions. Maintenance tickets were addressed within 24 hours.

Excellent place to live, the pool, jacuzzi and the gym are always clean and ready to use. The neighbors are respectful and follow the rules. The staff that work in the offices are friendly and do a good job.

We were very picky when we first started touring this community back in June of 2018, we fell in love with the grounds, community and location. We just don't move very often and new that if we did choose to call Port Landing at Fife our new home we would be here for a long time, so we chose to wait until they had what we were looking for. Elena in the office was so kind and understanding and very patient, as she had offered us several locations over a 5 month period which we declined. Until one day 5 months later Elena emailed us to let us know of one that she felt would be a perfect fit for us. We drove up (we were moving from out of town) and since the home was still occupied she showed us the location and the model again and we quickly said "YES"! Elena and the entire staff made our move as easy as possible, always in constant communication with us. On our actual move in date Elena was helpful and again patient, we also got to meet Svetlana and Kurt the Manager and Maintenance, both were super nice. You can tell that they all enjoy working here at Port Landing at Fife. We have now been in our new home nearly two months and everyday we fall more in love with the home, location, community and neighborhood. We have had the opportunity to show off our new home to friends and family all of them say how lucky we are with our location and view! On our beautiful clear day's we can see Mt. Rainier directly from our Patio and out our bedroom windows we can see the Olympic Mountains. We do plan on being her for a while as moving is not our thing, every request or question we have had has been quickly answered by the amazing office staff. I gave Port Landing at Fife five stars as due to many things, but first and for most the office staff! They are all so kind and helpful.

It's a pity that you can't put zero, and why doesn't anyone clarify that it's practically impossible to move into these apartments! Maybe they are beautiful, comfortable and so on...
