The team at Family Dentistry of Lakewood offers a positive, family-friendly environment with personal, comprehensive dentistry. The staff is incredibly friendly, greeting you as you come in the door. Dr. J is knowledgeable and explains everything to you in understandable terms. He took the time to go over my dental health, and presented several options on how to improve my teeth — and all this is done in a professional and positive manner. For the first time in years, after visiting Dr. J, I feel there is a specific game plan in place to improve my dental health.

My family and I have been going to this office for the past 10 years, we started with Dr. Baits. When Dr. J took over we were all nervous about seeing a new Dentist. Thankfully Dr. J is amazing!!! Not just as a Dentist but as a human. I sent my elderly grandmother who suffers from memory loss to him, he takes amazing care and time with her. He never rushes, he listens to her story's and makes her feel loved and welcomed. I send everyone I know to this office! We love the hygienist, & the front office people. They are also affordable. If you have a fear of Dentist this is the place to go. I have never been made to feel bad about not flossing enough, or taking better care of my teeth. Highly recommend this place!

The dentist himself, Dr. J, is awesome, kind and sincere.. but the front office staff is rude and condescending. I inadvertently missed an appointment, which I have probably missed 3 appointments in my 15 year's of being a client (all the way back when it was Bates). She proceeded to lecture me and accused me of lying all while telling me all the other "excuses" people use for missing appointments (dead aunts, covid over and over, etc.) Had she conducted herself more professionally, I may have been more receptive and I do understand the costs associated with no shows and cancelations. However, the way she she spoke to me was highly uncalled for. I have no interest in being a client here and will go to another clinic where staff won't talk to me with patronizing superiority.

I don't get to the dentist often. First visiting Lakewood Family and they went out of their way to make it a comfortable experience. Very thorough and cautious and Family oriented. Great people, very professional and kind. I actually enjoyed my visit to the dentist. Their facility was emaculate. I will return.

Hands down the best dentist I’ve ever been to. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about what they’re doing. They made the process simple and fast. I will definitely be returning!

The folks here are compassionate and gentle, plus informative without being detailed enough to set off my dental anxiety! So far, I've had a deep cleaning and two fillings done in addition to routine care, and I've never been disappointed with a single employee - even my childhood dentist office couldn't say that. Truly, the exact sort of place I needed to find to get my mouth's health back on track.

This office is pleasant, all employees welcoming and knowledgeable. The work they’ve done for me has been wonderful, and as an army spouse I am SO glad I found such a reliable provider. Thanks for being awesome!!

My daughter had not been to the dentist in a long time. I was nervous about how she would react. We walked through the door and she said "I like the vibe". After several visits (she needed a lot of work) she has no bad experiences to share. She loves the staff and walks in as if she's visiting a friend's house. They are kind, considerate, friendly and have made my moody teenager motivated to take care of her teeth. They get a 10 out of 10 from us!
