I only stopped by the Howard Johnson to visit a friend of mine (she rented room and stayed, I did not). Trying to find her room # took a long time because if the rooms happen to actually have the # on them, it is too small to see. The room itself didn't seem thoroughly cleaned (and personally I would not have stayed there). Then I'm not sure what is going on towards the back of the place but it definitely raises some red flags to me... There are extension cords ran from the building out to the parking lot with nothing connected (at least not when I was there), there are quite a few vehicles that don't look drivable (meaning completely full of either someone's belongings or garbage or both), the lighting back there is very poor and definitely concerned for my safety, and definitely would not park around the back!

I have to edit this review because I didn't do this place NEARLY enough justice. My life was falling apart around me. I lost my grandmother, my home, my family and I had been searching for somewhere to stay that wasn't a shelter. Thats when we found the Howard Johnson. This wonderful place took us in (for a price, nothing is free after all!) and housed us for nearly 2 months till we got an offer from someone else. For 2 months, I went to school and came back to call this place home. For 2 months, I had a hot shower and a bed of my own. The rooms are kept immaculately clean between visits, and the fact that they have rooms that walk into one another (when you book the BIG ones) was just amazing. The staff at the time were some of the nicest people I had met. The breakfast down in the lobby made mornings bearable and the news networks they had on at the time usually had feel good stories playing. The air conditioning ACTUALLY worked unlike a few of the motels we had been staying at prior. The balconies are really nice, its easy to stand out there and get lost for hours listening to the traffic zoom by. Snowfall looks beautiful from those big sliding glass doors. For being in a weird area, it was probably the best thing that had ever happened to us. Im back on my feet now, with a house of my own, and it's all thanks to the howard johnson for keeping us alive. It may be a hotel, but in my mind, I still call this place home.

I have never stayed in such a dirty place ever. I wish that the pictures on line were true to the actual building. the receptionist said there was a fire, too bad the whole building didn't burn down. Stink, dirty, holes in the door, dumpsters right outside our door. We will never ever stay there again. Dirty carpet, dirty walls. went in the area for breakfast, smelt like pine-sol, open containers that you had to share with the community, like cream cheese, peanut butter, coffee cups were dirty, tables were dirty. other people came in and turned around and left, when they seen the open containers too. Looked like the door was pried open before, and deck looked like it would fall off. big spider in the bathroom, water would not shut off in the sink at all and the faucet moved in all directions.

People at the front desk are so rude and the area is so unsafe. A lot of people hang out in the parking lot and being load and disturbing. I had stayed here and it was the worst experience. I had left my room and came back my door room door was wide open thank god I didn’t leave my belongings because they would’ve been stolen. The front desk agent people don’t care about the costumers and concerns. They just want the money and don’t care about what you think. I didn’t even stay for the night and they wouldn’t give me a refund. The room window was wide open once I walked in floor was wet and bed pillow was on the floor seemed like someone was already in the room. I had called the front desk and they didn’t care they said they checked the cameras and didn’t see anything. They just lie and get over on people don’t ever stay here!!!!!! Unless you don’t mind staying in a cheap dump with junkies hanging outside your room door

It was absolutely unsafe. The door didn't lock or even close completely. There was nasty stains on everything and a hole in the shower that was big enough to let light through. The people who worked there were nice but I ended up leaving because it was not safe. Their refund policy is no refunds 10 minutes after checking in. By the time we got to our room those 10 minutes were up.

This hotel is not as advertised. This hotel is definitely not non smoking. Shady people outside of hotel and people working on cars at 10pm. We go up to our room and open the door to be greeted by cigarette smoke. One look around and you see missing door locks, burn marks on the toilet, walls that need repaired, burn holes and stains on the couch, knife marks in the ottoman, etc. we went and immediately checked out. After months of communication with hotel management they will not refund our money. We even have a video that shows the state of the room to back up what we are saying. I do not recommend staying here. I’m very disappointed that this business would choose to treat its customers this way.

Stayed in this dive a couple of years ago it was horrific absolutely gross I thought I was going to catch something!!! When you looked out the window at the pool it was Green and had garbage in it 🤮 they put up a wall to block the fact that an entire building had caught fire, rather than to fix it they just covered it with a wall😯 super bad stay away!!!!!

The front desk people were nice, the room was just ok, but all the trash in parking lot, the cars & people who probably don't belong there, definitely make it a place I won't stay at again.

The outside of this hotel gives me nightmares. The rooms are nice however. But the police presence and the rif Raf just doesn't make it a first choice when thinking of a hotel to stay in

Friendly staff.😊 Clean room. Clean mattresses, mini fridge didn't keep cold. Our son liked the desk area, with office chair. Plenty of hot water for showers/bathes. There is a pool like advertised, but green slimy with garbage. No breakfast like advertised. As far as location::: Where its located, I honestly was surprised by the quietness.

They kept my deposit and still haven't refunded it back to my card and keep giving me the run around about it i have asked 4 different times about it and get the run around not to mention they made me move rooms lied to me about why i had to move told me they were giving me an updated room but the room they moved me in was horrible the bed was broken the towel rack was hanging off the wall along with iron that eventually just fell off the wall, both of which i fixed not maintenance! There was constantly people hanging out in front of my room all hours of the night and the wee morning hours. My car got backed into and i asked security to view the cameras and told them around what time it happened and never got told who did it along with someone trying to constantly break into my car never got any info on it my hood of my car got a deep scratch from someone also there where it took all of the paint off. Could never find a place to park because there's people that don't stay there occupying the parking spots. The neighbors sliding glass door got the glass busted out of it because some guy that was all drugged out was fighting with his girlfriend at 3am just over all not a good place to rent the staff are not friendly at all except 2 of them a front desk and one maid. Would not recommend staying here unless it's your last resort and only choice there are hotel in the same area for the same or better price that don't have as many problems that will actually give your deposit back.

The room was ok, but it was $455 to stay there with 2 dogs for 2 nights. For that price, it should have been a spectacular room. We will never stay there again.

Every time we stay at Howard & Jonhson Hotel, always meet our expectations. We ask for the same room and it is always ready for us when the time comes. Nicole, the housekeeper is always very helpful, even when the room is ready and done she comes around to check if there is anything else needed such an extra towel, or coffee or anything. Great service always goes a long way not only for us, but for all other guests. The room is always clean. We do love the amenities offered.

My stay was amazing. Holly was so helpful and accommodating. She went above and beyond to make this stay perfect for my family. Will definitely be back again.

Terrible. Room is trashed, huge scratches on the floor, stains on counters, several lights dont work, holes in walls. Pool is out of service in the middle of summer.
