2 stars because room is clean. I've stayed here a number of times but will be looking for another hotel. The signage around the lobby reception area is extremely offputingly rude. Spent $154 for the night to experience walking through a ghetto where the neighboring hotel seems to be boarded up but homeless having taken up residence with trash piled up everywhere. The elevator had a foul smell of urine. The hall carpets are gross and random trash scattering the halls. Owners and management should be ashamed of themselves. Quality inn? Hmmmm... last time I patronize this establishment.

Booked a two night stay and ended up turning around and heading somewhere else. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and none of this is their fault. However, the location is awful. Next to a boarded up (possibly abandoned?) hotel that is full of squatters. Apparently one of the (former?) employees shot somebody on the property this year. We felt very unsafe, and could not see ourselves sleeping a wink in that room. I feel bad for the staff, they deserve better.

The lobby looked nice and the lady working at the desk was amazing. There is nothing more good to say about this hotel. The price is affordable however don't leave anything valuable in your car and always wear shoes inside your hotel room. The floors were sticky and the shower was not clean. The air conditioner did not work and the whole place smelled terrible. It's supposed to be a non-smoking room but smelled like marijuana and PE and vitamins. Again the desk lady was super helpful super friendly and professional. And that's all I have to say about that, Jenny.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!! As we drove into the driveway of the hotel, the area and buildings looked dilapidated, rundown and unsafe (Strike 1). As we entered the lobby on August 15 at 2:10pm, the desk clerk screamed at us “No check in til 3pm, sit down over there”. No Good Afternoon or Welcome to Quality Inn etc. (Strike 2). We sat in the lobby which featured furniture that was worn and shabby. Then sat and listened for several minutes to the desk clerk and another lady who appeared to be in housekeeping loudly discuss some suspicious “medicine” that they found in one of the rooms. They were also discussing long term residents that are too loud in this room and that room (Strike 3). I then started looking at recent reviews online and was shocked by what I saw, confirming that my instincts were correct. Luckily, I had until 4pm to cancel my reservation and that’s what I did. We found a better Tacoma hotel to stay in. This hotel is NOT representative of the Choice Hotel brand and should not be a part of their hotels. When we book through the Choice Hotel website there is a certain standard that is expected, and Quality Inn and Suites in Tacoma, Washington does not meet the standard. Don’t be like me, read the recent reviews carefully before staying at any hotel.

Rooms were not ready at check-time of 3:00p ("we don't have enough housekeepers to clean every room--you should understand due to Covid"); we checked back multiple times until 5:00p and they STILL WERE NOT READY. We gave up at that time and went to a different hotel since we had an event to attend in Seattle and needed to clean up and change. They never notified us that the rooms were ready. The hotel REFUSED to refund our money for two rooms and, in fact, corporate refused to intervene as did Priceline (so long, Priceline, from an MVP member). They claimed it was because it was against their cancellation policy. Also, the area is horrible--to get to the hotel, you have to drive through a parking lot for a housing unit; we witnessed a drug deal, a topless woman with no teeth, multiple people slumped against the building, trash, etc. I am still shocked at this experience. I will never stay at a Choice Hotel chain again.

Not safe!! Nothing like finding fentanyl on the floor of your "non smoking" room that clearly has been smoked in and calls going unanswered by management and they closed our complaint without addressing our concerns. We should have called the police. Do not stay here. Had we known there had been 5 homicides at this location, we would not have stayed here. The building closest to the street is boarded off yet inundated with homeless people and looks like a drug house. We saw people smoking something off foil. Even a pregnant woman. It is not safe here. The carpets are filthy and if you want to get extra towels, be prepared for a towel count. Totally lacks any class.

If I could put -100 stars I would. The worst hotel we have ever been to! It was honestly the worst experience ever! We got there, the place was really suspicious and all the people are really weird. Our hotel room was very dirty and we asked to cancel. The girl said we can be moved to a different room. That room was also dirty and smelled like really bad smoke. She lied to us that she would tell the manager that she will cancel our booking and give our money back. They never did! We called and the manager was super rude and yelling at us and hanged up on us, not letting me talk at all. THE WORST. DONT GO!

I admit I did NOT read the reviews before booking, but buyer beware! At least half of this hotel is "leased" out as a shelter or halfway house of some sort. Building 2 is a 420 festival (which is fine with me, but if I was with my family, no)...the first room I was assigned was in #2 and had not been turned. The lady at the front desk promptly gave me a new room and it was just fine. There didn't seem to be any other regular travelers like myself hahahaha!! Anyway, the rate was good, I just needed to sleep for a couple of hours after a concert and I'm used to the ghetto lol. I would NEVER stay here again solely because I don't want my car vandalized, which thankfully did not happen.

Hotel in the hood... Had to connect the TV to get it to work, breakfast was almost non-existent, no pool, no truck parking but was advertised that there was. Will not be coming back. At breakfast we showed the lady at the desk there was juice in the fridge. Her response was we are not allowed to touch this fridge" awful hotel.

Booked a room within driving distance to SeaTac to catch an international flight first thing in the morning. Drove 7. 5 hours just to get here at 2am, and discover a note on the door saying "Overbooked." I attempted to speak to the women at the front desk since I had literally already paid online and she says "Not my problem" through the glass and walks away. I will never deal with this company again, and I recommend you don't as well. The only saving grace was this hotel was in a disgusting part of town and I suspect my vehicle would have fallen victim to prowling.

I got here after hours of travel and I was expecting...if not good things, decent things. There's only so much you can expect from a cheap hotel after all. The foyer is super nice, the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful, it looked like they had a bar?? I had my hopes up, even though it was behind another condemned hotel. Let me just say they have a surprise deposit of 150 dollars, which is very much not fun when you're already on a budget. The front desk worker was very nice and let me argue it down to 100. I won't name drop because I have a feeling the owner is cheap enough to fire them for that. A bunch of money moving later, I had my keys. The room is a pretty standard hotel room; it seems well maintained, except for a few gripes. The floor in my room was sticky, the bath tub was slippery, the place smelled like bleach (which to be fair at least indicates it was cleaned.) The bed is super firm so if you don't like that, beware. The sheets and pillows were nice though. The fridge and microwave both work, and the wifi is good. There was some hollering outside my window at about 3 am, which wasn't great, but I was awake anyway so it didn't really bother me. I think my biggest complaint is there was no free breakfast. Something about a football team? I dunno. It doesn't seem fair that I paid for a hotel with breakfast and didn't get what I paid for. If I had been notified of the lack of breakfast I might've chosen a different hotel. Is this a luxury hotel? No. Is it good for short stays, 2 days max? It'll do if you're not too picky.

The rooms were nice once you made it through the parking lot and into the building. Theres a lot of rooms crammed into the building 3 floors total. But they were regular size that you would expect to see with a double beds or a king size bed. Staff was helpful looks like they have a couple 24 hour security guards on site that helps ease your mind a bit from the surroundings in the area. All in all our stay was fine had no problems and our cars were still there at the end of our stay.

I hate posting this because the manager was a nice lady, but this hotel is one of the worst I have ever been to. We were there for maybe 30 minutes before we picked up our bags and left. The lobby smelled like pee and Pine Sol. We were afraid our car would be broken into. The people who hung around the hotel were sketchy. The hotel was in a very bad part of town, and it seemed like the people there were living there and not simply travelers who were just staying there. I think my husband and I were the only actual lodgers there. There were children who appeared to live there riding bicycles and bouncing basketballs in the hallways, and the entire place was filthy and rundown. We discovered that our room had bedbugs, and we left immediately. We did not feel safe there.

Most ghetto shack I’ve ever stayed at. Unsecured building/emergency doors left propped open all night. Random homeless people walking in and out. Not safe. The morning housekeepers are extremely rude and disrespectful screaming at guests to get out and banging on doors. Building and room wasn’t even clean. Hair all over the shower, holes in the walls. Fecal matter wiped on the walls. I should have just slept in my car.

So many red flags that we finally just left and found a better hotel! My biggest concern was the Emergency Exit door was CHAINED shut!! The lock on our room door was clearly broken off at one point, the toilet was loose from the wall, the room smelled like an ash tray not too mention we stood in line for over an hour to check in because under no circumstance could you check in BEFORE 3pm. There was one agent working the desk. The line of people were out the door and into the parking lot - ridiculous...

My kids and I have been staying at this hotel for the past couple weeks. When I first got here I was a mess. I was physically mentally and emotionally exhausted.. I had no idea About the area where I was or how everything was going to work out , due to losing my father and moved all the way out here from Ohio.. The woman at the desk she was well put together. She was of ethnic culture And welcome me with a smile and Understanding eyes. She first grabbed a snack and handed it to my children. To get them calm down so that way. I could pull myself together to handle the transaction further as I had booked online.. She went over the hotels. Policies and procedures, property check out times and parking arrangements. She also informed me that this is a kid friendly hotel, and even though. It is been quiet the past few weeks. The place is filled with a lot of coming and going of a lot of different people in different stages of life. However, we care deeply for the children that do stay here, And even let me know that there are some that are on-site. That are pretty good kids, 2 associate my children with If I ended up needing to stay longer.. She made me feel as if I was becoming part of A family oriented hotel, And assured me that I am safe here regardless on how rough the area might look on the outside. She emphasized that they take pride and seeing customer satisfaction "quality versus quantity." After my check In... She came to my room and asked me if I needed anything if my children needed anything and overall if I needed anything I was okay to ask the questions that were needed to be able to have the most comfortable stay here as I possibly could for however long I needed.. A week Into My stay.. I needed to do laundry. I had no idea that I had to put money on an app at a different location in order to use the machine. I was uncomfortable still with the area. Did not have a car at the time, and it was also Later in the evening , As my children were asleep, a gentleman working. The night shift assisted me, helping me get money to the right app. Show me how to download the right app to my phone for the laundry machines. And even came back to check on me. To assure that the machines were working properly.. I have stayed at many hotels.. And this has far beyond exceeded every expectation that I have had with staff and with the quality of service that I received. There are people in the area to definitely keep your guard up. To definitely keep your eyes alert. You definitely want to lock your doors and not have anything of valuable scene in your vehicles. However, inside the hotel itself. I feel very safe and secure behind my door. Yes, you can tell there is a lot of different activity around this area but I feel the staff does a good job at Addressing Those Problematic people With Little To no judgment And confidence that the problem will be taking care of if something does Arise. Thank you, Quality Inn and staff for helping me through the most important transition of my life ,for me and my children. Going above and beyond is an understatement, helping me effortlessly while assisting my family with smiles and respect to get me through this hard grieving stage. as I make my life from one coast to the next.. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! The Edwards Family

The front desk individual either; was telling the truth about their "system being down" or just didn't wish to check me in. Either way; after I'd clearly stated my intention to remain on site until their system was back up, about 5 minutes go by when they're all "i DoN't KnOw WhAt YoU'rE dOiNg By SiTtInG tHeRe, BuT yOu'Ye GoTtA lEaVe!!!" Not wishing to further harsh this lady's work night(they seemed pretty bothered by having to interact with those not within their mobile phone) by further attempting to do my part to honor the scheduled reservation, I departed. After this...less-than-pleasant interaction I took the following steps: √Called the chain's reservation hotline. 'Miss pleasant' ignored multiple calls made to the front desk by reservation agents to attempt to make this right, thus a report of this incident was sent into the hotel's General Manager. √Checked into a different hotel down the street; a bit pricier than I was hoping for, but took away the need to once again attempt to get someone to do something they either couldn't or simply *really* didn't want to do i.e. their job √Made certain; after reading a bulk of the previous reviews including ones detailing shady overcharging, that this establishment will be unable to charge me for a reservation their representative on duty refused and/or was unable to honor. After reading other reviews about the "security" situation at this place(namely the ones detailing rampant theft while guests dare to step outside of their rooms), perhaps it was for the best that I didn't end up staying here. I had chosen to attempt to stay here; originally, because I've run into a few choice hidden gems who's reviews were 2.5 overall⭐, and was hoping to experience yet another potential diamond in the rough type of stay. Instead? I was made to feel like I was an imposition; while on the heels of completing a 60hr work week, when I was just trying to get some damn rest. Rather disappointed with this failure to engage in commerce.

Despite being located next to a highway and construction site, it was a pretty decent hotel room for the night. We did find a stink bug inside one of the beds, but at least it was the only one in the room. That unfortunately makes it pretty good compared to others. They did require a big cash deposit though which was both inconvenient and weird. I'd change that policy.

No security common door locks were broken. Dogs barking day & night. Weird noises coming from neighbor rooms in the middle of the night. People coming and going constantly. Breakfast was less than appealing, they ran out of coffee. No room service or clean towels. Had to ask three times finally got towels the next day.

The owner is HIGHLY rude, dishonest and very unprofessional. The place was an eye sore behind the other unsafe motel. They do bate&$witch to hold your cc hostage and ask for deposit when you complain about riff rafe outside, dirty sheets, roach infestation appliances not working in rooms. The place should be closed its not even safe to park your car because front desk clerks said nobody wants to work for owner that has no safe work ethic or care for the well being of staff?, let alone a paying guest

Literally tried to extend my night for 2 days and without even extending it they charged my card 239.00 . Tanisha didn’t even bother giving me options to help resolve the issue besides talking to the manager . All she could say is “she didn’t charge nothing” . So 239.00 just down the drain somehow while trying to extend my stays. Won’t everrr be staying here . The location is sketchy too smh .

Do Not Stay Here is You Have Asthma! Overpriced! I had to pay $100 for a room and this place is not worth more than $50 a night. Not clean. It would be easier to list the things that weren’t broken/dirty than to give a full list of everything that was broken/dirty. I did survive. More than anything this makes me angry that Choice would keep this place in operation and collect money from people for this. I hope they at least pay their understaffed employees hazard pay!

I reserved 2 months in advance and when I arrived there at 2:00 am after a long flight with my wife and two kids they said that there were no more rooms. Even though we reserved, there's nothing they could do because they didn't have any more rooms. At this point, my Uber had already left, and I am stuck with my family with nowhere to stay in the middle of the night. What's the purpose of even reserving with them if they don't even reserve for you. But if I were to cancel, they have a cancelation fee. Also, when we got there there was no one at the office the security had to look for them for around 30 minutes. I called booking to get relocated booking and didn't want to relocate me until they got a hold of them, but they never did because these people didn't answer the phone. Like, why are these people not even in their office??? I ended up finding a room at 6:00 am on my own in LA Quinta hotel, 14 minutes away from this place.

We booked a queen suite at this hotel from June 2nd through June 8th. We only stayed one night because of the location. We ended up staying with my brother-in-law, as he advised us that the area was not a good location. There are alot of homeless people, and odd things in the neighborhood. Tyneshia was fantastic. She checked us in when we got there. They didn't have the queen room we booked so she upgraded us to a King Suite which was a fantastic room. Had a mini refrig, mini kitchenette. She did that for no upcharge since they didn't have the room we actually booked. She was very friendly, helpful and pleasant. She was a real treasure. The true version of customer service. She was always helping us while we were there and making sure everything was ok. Jessica was also very pleasant and nice. Their staff is truly excellent. The room was very clean and nice.

Service was the best part. The people parked out side, the hallways looked like a Housekeeper dosen't work there. Found a pair of underwear hanging in the shower. Hair all over the bed and a foul smell in the room.

There's some sketchy people that stay in here so while walking, I had a little freak out moment but what hotel at this price isn't going to have some sketchy people in this area. The rooms were nice but the people who cleaned them must not go through everything. My shower had someone else's hair in it on the walls and one bed had stains. The front desk lady was super nice and helpful as well as security. The comfort was really good also. I've had hotels at a similar cost and each had issues with ODs and murders. I'll take stains and a few hairs for the same price any day. Plus everything is updated. No scratchy thin blankets like the 90s.

This location is in the middle of homeless community. The door lock of the annex (smelly) building allows a homeless to enter. The front desk person is limited, so I had to wait for a long time to get service. Breakfast is terrible. Don't eat here. Unfortunately the next room guys had an all-night party on Friday night until 4 am on Saturday. I kept complaining over night (1am, 2am, 3am). Finally the security guy knocked the next room door and they stopped the music.
