The place has seen some mileage. It has seen better days. The rooms I saw were clean but with some stains. The table and other flat surfaces had been abused by previous guests. The walls are somewhat thin - I could hear my neighbors on either side, but not clearly. I did not hear the people above me, though. The outside was in good shape with good lighting everywhere I went. The staff were kind and attentive. I can say I'd stay here again. Worth the money.

This is the worst place I have ever stayed. The first room's only accessible outlet didn't work. I notified the front desk and after three different people including the owner came in to check it, I was told it would be fixed tomorrow. I told them I wanted a new room and the owner said "we don't have anyone to cleaner your room." After a back and forth he finally gave us another room. The second room seemed fine until I went to bed. There were crumbs in the bed. When I pulled the covers back, I found something that looked like blood on the sheets and makeup on the pillow case. I called the front desk and was told if I bring the sheets down, I could get new ones. After changing into my clothes, I went downstairs to exchange the sheets and didn't even receive an apology.

Although the staff has tried to keep up with the property, it has not been properly maintained. The prices are higher than better options. Dirty birth rooms, terrible environment, not good for kids at all. Unless you have no other option, avoid this location. I saw the reviews before I got to the hotel but I didn't pay attention to them, when I got to the hotel I was just thinking about how true the reviews were. The staff is definitely rude, the rooms stink, safety is a concern because there seems to be people hanging out outside the hotel at all times. Just don't go to this hotel, you will remember this review if you do

Prefacing this review with the note that I reserved a room needing the minimum requirement of a bed to sleep on for two night; not looking for fancy. I started checkin at Howard Johnson (nextdoor) and was sent to the other building (Travelodge) to get my keys. I don’t know what kind of checkin process they’ve established, but it was not organized at all. Someone in front of me had a confirmed reservation email and was turned away because there were no rooms available. Another group came back to point out their room wasn’t even cleaned. My expectations were pretty low. When I finally got my key, I grabbed my things and my party went to get settled. Our key didn’t work. Normally this is a quick-ish fix, but at this point it has been an hour and a half since I arrived and we couldn’t get into the room. Not even the facilities guy could get the door to open. We left. I don’t know what is to blame: it looks like the entire site is minimally kept, and it looks like they’re going to do renovations. Even with how gross the appearance was (from the outside, can’t vouch personally for any of the rooms), the service was abysmal, and I can’t justify paying for such a terrible experience. Maybe if you need a place to stay without a huge event your experience may differ, but don’t expect anything that looks remotely hospitable about this place.

Everything was great except there was only 1 lightbulb I had to switch from the main room into the bathroom.. I probably could have asked for another bulb... But didn't...

Front desk lady was polite, but that’s the only positive. The non smoking room smelled like an old ashtray. The door barely shut and was a struggle to open. The walls, floor, furniture… EVERYTHING was disgusting. I’m not quite 5’ 3” and had to duck a bit to get my head under the shower head. I could hear everything in the rooms above and next to me. Assume drug activity with all the coming and going through all hours of the night. I’ll NEVER stay at a Travelodge again.

So booked this online last minute when we lost power and we didnt think it would be back on by tonight. It was listed as American Lodge. Cheap and for the price the "sketchy-ness" was expected. What wasn't was the confusion over the checkin being at the Travel lodge per the note in the window. Neither was the unlisted undisclosed $100 deposit. After 4 hours and back and forth with booking.com they were able to get me a cancelation fee free and were trying to assist me with accomodations when by the grace of all that is holy PSE had our power back up in Graham by 9:30 and we were able to just head home. Honestly, I was so freakin relieved to get home and snuggle in my own bed and can rest easy that even though they tried to hustle me at the motel-from-heII booking.com had my back. BUYER BEWARE FOR SURE. Cause for 174 you can get a much nicer and safer place. FYI make sure to have a pen/paper if using booking as you need your confirmation number and 4 digit code on hand. Always read for specific check in times (these are written in fine print) and look for any 'hold' deposit as those are ADDITIONAL but HAVE to be disclosed!!

I would of loved to use the pool since it was nice and hot outside but they had no water inside the pool. We where in a non smoking room and the people next door where in the room smoking and it could be smelled through the walls. There was too many prostitutes coming and going. They wouldn't let you grab food and head back to your room, they had to note saying that all food must be consumed at the tables. It was very uncomfortable, so we choose not to eat food at their location. The management team could use a few classes in property management and customer service.

Not so great ,the rooms are old and the decor included. Which puzzles me cause they make good money renting rooms to a little bit of anyone for a little less than the competitors. But I gave a 50.00 deposit that I never got back.one employee said it will take up to 5 days and almost three weeks later a man tells me that the money never comes off my card it's just a hold on there. REALLY so I see I'm going to have to go by there to look at the policy cause I need my money

The worst hotel I have stayed in and would never ever go there again. I had the worse experience I could have ever imagined. I and a be tears member but yet couldn't check in early told me to come back at 3, so I did and still would not let me check in telling me 20 more minutes. 20min goes by and she finally was doing the paper signing and things took another 10nin. I then finally get the key to the room and the maid was still in the room cleaning it leaving me outside another 15min, being I didn't enter my room till almost 4pm. When she excited, the room was not cleaned completely, so parts were dirty. I then went and bought cleaning supplies, finding gross things I would rather not mention on here. The next day I had someone try to enter my room, but I had three latch on who was housekeeping 45min before checkout, which I had a sign on the door and asked not to enter. 10 min later a tall younger guy did the same thing but wasn't housekeeping. I then got a calll and complained about it and asked for 20 extra minutes to gather my things around 1050am (10min before checkout), and she didn't care and I was told no. 10 min later she was knocking on the door continuously. When I opened the door, her and husband said if I didn't leave the room that minute I would not get my deposit back, even though i was able to enter my room until 4pm instead of 3pm. She was also trying to peak in my room just before standing outside my window just before knocking. They also do not know the perks of being a Wyndham Rewards Member which I am, but then they advertise people to sign up. ... NEVER AGAIN!!

Honestly it's ok for what it's worth. My only issue is every single one of the wall plugins were loose, making it impossible to charge my phone let alone anything else. As well be very aware and careful about the shower situation, I can't verify because I couldn't go check every room but there was nothing in the shower to keep someone from SLIPPING, I almost lost it twice thankfully I didn't fall. I thought it odd because what if someone much older than me had been in one of these showers? There's literally nothing to hold on to in case something like that happens again, don't these places ever get checked for that?

The room was actually very clean and I had a great experience. They offer free food and coffee with more than just basic creamer which was a plus. The front desk attendant was very kind and breakfast goes from 6am-9am makes sure to get there around 7am or so so you get some of the pastries before they go. The only thing I noticed was a small splatter of soda on the wall next to one of the beds and some left over hair in the bathroom which can happen. Other than that not for sure why its rated so poorly. I mean theres druggies and homeless everywhere so just don't interact with them and you're all good!

The rooms are what you would expect from a discount travel motel. The floors are laminate instead of carpet which I appreciated. The bed frame squeaks a bit when you get in bed. The pillows are nice and fluffy. My biggest complaint is the shower. The shower head is level with my eyes and I stand 5'7". If you have a tall person with you, like my 6'2" husband, they are in for a bad time. Plus they resurfaced the tub but didn't texturize the bottom so when it gets wet it becomes very slippery. The front desk people were friendly on check in, got us checked in quick with no hassle. Overall it was what I expected for the money and we didn't spend a whole lot of time there anyway.
